Didn’t do one in October, but I’m still trying to figure out the right cadence on these (started in April 2026 and did one in September 2026). Let’s go back to the brain dump bullet point format for this one:

There has been *so much* change in my professional life recently. Sports and entertainment naturally has a lot of that, but lately my head has been spinning from all the twists and turns.
That said, I really like what I do and who I do it with, even it sometimes means long stretches away from home (and more stress than I would like).
With the new NBA season now rolling, it seems like we have a million games between now and the end of the year (including the Christmas Day game against my friends from Oklahoma).
Lots of music too: both for work and for fun. Arrested Development, The Suburbs, Vienna Boys Choir, Brother Ali and The New Standards will all be fun (British Arrows too at the Walker).
The Hawaii anniversary trip is fast approaching and it was fun to start making golf and dining reservations this week (and scheduling out the various days).
Honestly quite surprised by the election results this week, but feel cautiously hopeful that things will start to get better.
My losing battle with the laundry basket & gas station is exhausting.
Home projects I need to finally confront: 1) garage shelving, 2) door trim paint, 3) loft redecoration, 4) donate clothes I don’t wear.
Work projects I need to finally confront: 1) build an intranet, 2) re-rack the MDF, 3) optimize WiFi, 4) security office TV and time clock.
Shout out to my brother and sister. I know they both read this site, but I need to call them more often…
Had a good visit with my primary care health provider last week. Test results were good and we came up with a plan for the long, cold winter.
I miss Nive Man and the St. Dinette burger, but their spirit lives on. Looking forward to the return of Revival on Monday.
The new artist-based “chill” playlists on Apple Music are kinda brilliant (the B&W icon, however, is lame).
Brady might be least favorite Survivor contestant of all time (which is saying a lot).
One week until that HomeView thing is scheduled to arrive.
New Minnesota Lottery website launched (and 404’d my bookmarks).
Proud of Kid One and Kid Two and their new jerbs.
