SCAM AWARE

We have been made aware that some people have been contacted about a Craft Fair at Coombes in February and March and asked to send money to a paypal account – please note we have no booking for these dates – this is someone trying to SCAM people. They have got into the group Melbourn and Meldreth group and possibly others and are using the name Hannah Louise Lee – the profile picture is a cartoon and not a photograph of a real person. Do not send any money and if you have already we hope you can get your money back.

Rotary Memory Cafe

For people with memory loss and their carers, the cafe will be restarting May 11th at Coombes Community Centre – second Wednesday every month 10am to noon. No need to book, just turn up to enjoy good company, refreshments and information. Building works now complete

The recent building works at the centre is complete. The Office is still upstairs but now in the room next to the lift and the old office is now the Priory Room – an ideal 2-3 person meeting room – great for business interviews, clinics, etc. Downstairs the kitchen and the Harris Room have been refitted and redecorated and in the area no one ever goes, the loft, the water tank that was prone to leak has been replaced – sorry you cannot book it but everyone will benefit from its renewal.

Building works nearing completion

We would like to thank all our users for their tolerance whilst the renovation and rebuilding works have been carried out over the last month. Everything is now complete, including the unexpected need to replace a very large water tank in the loft that decided it was time to leak into the old office – fortunately just a few days before the decorators were due!

Building Works at Coombes

You will of noticed a lot of building works going in the centre, both upstairs and down. The Office is being moved into the room next to the lift that was known as The Coombes Meeting Room but it was rarely used due to the lack of sound isolation from the main Coombes room so the doors have been replaced with sold walls. he old Office will be redecorated and renamed the Priory Room to make an ideal 2-3 person meeting room – great for business interviews, clinics, etc. Downstairs the kitchen was showing its age so is being refitted and the Harris Room redecorated. Work will be completed in the next few weeks ready for a full year of activity.

£14 per hour – PAYE appointment with holiday entitlement

To assist in the day-to-day administration and management of all aspects involved in the running of a busy community centre

Duties include bookings and enquiries, invoicing, payroll, marketing

Knowledge and experience of office work essential
