General Assembly Meeting 2026

The District Assembly held its General Assembly Meeting on 28th October 2026 which was Chaired by the Hon. Presiding Member Hon. Napoleon Nsarko-Tawiah and Supported by the DCE Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy and the District Coordinating Director Madam Tawakalitu Raji.

In attendance were the Hon. Assembly Members and the Technocrats of the District Assembly.

OPENING OF THE FREE PRIMARY HEALTHCARE FACILITY AT MOREE

Daniel Mensah Wardy, The DCD Madam Tawakalitu Raji, Management and technical staffs of the assembly officially opened the health facility at Moree to be used for the Free Primary healthcare in the district.

Townhall Meeting at Afrangua

On the 27th of October, 2026 a Town hall meeting was organized by the District Assembly at Afrangua to engage with the community about their needs, issues and how to help develop their community and the district as a whole.
A lot of interactions were done at the meeting and some concerns and issues were raised by some of the community members and the DCE Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy, DCD Madam Tawakalitu Raji and the various Heads of Departments and Units took turns to respond and address the issues and concerns raised and also highlighting the achievements made in the year 2025.
The Hon. DCE again reiterated their commitment to bringing development to their community and the district as a whole. The Community leaders also expressed their gratitude to the assembly for hosting such an event in their community.

Executive Committee Meeting (EXECO) 2026

On the 13th of October, 2026, the District Assembly held their executive committee meeting (EXECO) with the various heads of all sub-committees, Decentralized Departments and Units within the District to deliberate on issues with regards to the district.

SEND-OFF PARTY FOR EDUCATION DIRECTOR

the Education Directorate together with the District Assembly on the 2nd of October 2026 organized a sendoff party for the outgoing Director Madam Mary Cudjoe for her long serving and dedication to work and helping improve the education situation in the district.
