I started dating Melissa at university in the winter of 2000-2001 and I convinced Jerry to hire her to work at Ope with us during that summer because we wanted to spend the summer together and that summer has turned into 23 years of marriage.

It’s like a reset button for the soul.”

I am Ojibwewanishinaabe, Odaawaawanishinaabe, and more or less known due to everything you pretty much said, a people called the Nooke, or the original inhabitants of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as DNA and stories go. This truly is inspiring to us, as we few are working to find the truth of our ancient people of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan here as they have been forgotten. Truly nice and quaint.

My fishing group the LLIARS, had the pleasure of staying at the Bunkhouse prior to the start of a few fishing trips. We were privileged to share a few IPA’s with Jake over the years and listen to his great stories. He is a jem and we will never see the likes of him again!
