Smart Cybertag X-base is the most important interactive device for indoor laser tag battles.

This device performs several scenario functions in one game unit. Case

The base consists of a control board, speaker, light modules, and a radio module for communication with the game kits. The body is made of matt translucent plastics which diffuse light. Durable plastics protect this device from potential shocks. The powerful speaker inside the case greatly increases the sound loudness. The back of the device has mounting holes for wall mounting.

Connection

The base is connected via a local network directly through a router. In the first case, you need a network cable with cross-over wiring. In the second, a regular patchlead is used. Connections are located at the bottom of the case. The device can signal its status with color and sound indications. Indication color, switch on time and sounds are set in the Cybertag configurator application.

Functions

Depending on the scenario, Cybertag X-base is used as a respawn base or a checkpoint. An indoor arena can have several such devices. The roles of this device in scenarios are not limited by anything. The software is the cornerstone of the entire CYBERTAG project. Using CYBERTAG configurator application every game manager can change a lot of blaster and arena parameters, perform gameplay management, automatically display live game statistics, calculate the business profitability of the gaming arena and so on.

The main features of the application:

• Setting game parameters. A simple and intuitive interface allows the game manager to quickly select a game scenario, divide players into teams and configure blasters, reducing the time spent on game preparation.
• Game control. Automatic recording of game achievements, displaying live game statistics on TV-screens allows running honest games, eliminating disagreements between players and reducing the loss of time for downloading statistics.

• Making statistics reports after the game will be appreciated by most of your active players. Application can generate a game report in pdf-format that can be uploaded to laser tag operator’s social network account. • Editing scenarios can be made even by inexperienced arena game manager. Using this device, the manager can significantly diversify the game options and possibilities. • Gaming sets technical condition monitoring section, allows to control battery charge level, blaster signal power, volume, and other parameters. All settings are displayed in real time and game manager has a reliable tool for monitoring equipment integrity.
• Financial statistics is an essential assistant for laser tag arena owner, it counts all the games played, the number of players, the amount of payment and so on, which helps to avoid fraudulent behavior of arena staff, since it is impossible to run games under-the-table without the application.

Energizer – is a universal device that can restore the health of the player and his ammo.

One of the advantages of CYBERTAG equipment is interactivity. Any game action performed within the arena triggers a response from arena devices with backlight, sound or vibro-indication. The interaction with the equipment determines the style of the game. If the capture of the particular device gives an advantage to a player, then all players’ attention will be focused on this action.

Interactivity is one of the cornerstones of arena success. These ideas were in focus while developing our new device – “Energizer”. The main function of this device is to restore the health of the player and his ammo.

The player can physically interact with this device. It is equipped with a large button with a clear push fixation. The button is not recessed into the body, so players do not have to “aim” it.

While developing this device we have focused on its important elements, that’s why we made the design not only modern but also functional. The large red button with yellow frame simplifies pushing and the use of a bright progress bar tells the player when the Energizer is ready to restore health.

Initially, in old arena laser tag scenarios, the players could interact only with each other in «team deathwatches» or «all against all» games. Such games were the only ways to earn rating points. The lack of scenarios led to playing the same game many times, that was boring for players. So, such gameplay needed for additional devices, affecting arena events.

But we did not want to overload the game with dozens of different devices and we also didn’t want instructors to explain the functionality of these devices every day. The game should not be very complicated to everyday new customers.

Therefore, the idea of creating a new universal device, which includes several additional functions was obvious. And we made it. It is called Interactive Game Base.

This new main universal device interacts with the player and has a large number of functions and operations options: it can be used as Base, Respawn, Control point, Target, Mine or Gun turret.

We have 2 versions of Interactive Game Base: basic and special.

The basic Game Base is easy to connect and make settings, the manager does not have to spend a lot of time configuring it.
In this version, the Game Base is a set of useful equipment. Depending on settings, the functionality of the device can be changed: today it can be a target, tomorrow it will be Respawn device, and then it can be a Control point. Today, players can capture the Game Base, and tomorrow the equipment will hit the heedless players.
