It can be seen on the second floor of the town hall (Marktplaz 1) until 20 March 2026. On that day, I will be available at 10 a.m. to give you a guided tour.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the children from the “Diesterwegschule”, a special school for children with disabilities, went on an excursion through the city of Weimar. Since I was there, I took the opportunity to take some photos and, above all, to film. In fact, I have a project that I will tell you about soon.

Les enfants de l’école spécialisée pour enfants déficients « Diesterwegschule » ont fait, ce mercredi 24 septembre 2025, une excursion à travers la ville de Weimar. Comme j’étais là, ne me suis pas privé de faire quelques photos et surtout de filmer. En effet, j’ai un projet dont je vous parlerai bientôt.

On Tuesday, 23 September 2025, the opening of an exhibition of photographs taken with me last May by nine visually impaired people (five of whom have been blind since birth) was held in the main building of Weimar Town Hall (Germany).
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the children and the entire teaching team, as well as our partners: the Franco-German Citizens’ Fund of Thuringia and the Weimar Triangle Association.

Mardi 23 septembre 2025 s’est tenu dans le bâtiment principal de la mairie de Weimar (Allemagne) le vernissage de l’exposition des photographies réalisées avec moi en mai dernier, par neuf gens déficients visuels (dont cinq sont aveugles de naissance).
J’aimerais en profiter pour remercier les enfants et l’ensemble de l’équipe pédagogique ainsi bien évidemment les partenaires : le Fonds Citoyen Franco-allemand de Thrüringe et l’association du Triangle de Weimar.
Venez participer à mon prochain atelier sur le thème de la photographie de portrait.
La Chambre est un lieu reconnu dans le Grand Est pour la promotion de la photographie, et son programme de formation est varié et ambitieux.

On the initiative of Mr Marc Sagnol, on the occasion of the screening of his film about the artist Evgen Bavcar at the Bauhaus Museum in Weimar, I had the pleasure of running a three-day workshop for nine visually impaired children, five of whom have been blind since birth.
The workshop was made possible with the support of the Franco-German Citizens’ Fund of Thuringia of Thuringia and the Weimar Triangle Association.

À l’initiative de Monsieur Marc Sagnol à l’occasion de la projection de son film sur l’artiste Evgen Bavcar au musée du Bauhaus de Weimar, j’ai eu le plaisir de pouvoir diriger un atelier de trois jours pour neuf enfants déficients visuels dont cinq sont non-voyants de naissance.
L’atelier a pu être mis en palce avec le concours du Fonds Citoyen Franco-allemand de Thüringe et l’association du Triangle de Weimar.

On the initiative of Florence Dancoisne, director of the Centre Culturel Français de Freiburg in Germany ( https://ccf-fr.de ), I had the pleasure of leading a three-days photography workshop for 17 young people aged 15 to 19 in Karlsruhe as part of a school sports event bringing together Germans and French.
From 12 to 14 June 2024, these high school students photographed badminton, freesbee, climbing, basketball and table tennis matches.
The fact that this project is being carried out in the year of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is anything but a coincidence. The plan is to deepen the knowledge acquired before mounting an exhibition that will take place in January 2025 within the walls of CCF.

À l’initiative de Madame Florence Dancoisne, directrice du Centre Culturel Français de Freiburg en Allemagne ( https://ccf-fr.de ), j’ai eu le plaisir de diriger pour 17 jeunes gens de 15 à 19 ans un atelier de photographie de trois jours à Karlsruhe en marge de rencontres sportives scolaires mêlant Allemands et Français.

Auf Initiative von Frau Florence Dancoisne, Leiterin des Centre Culturel Français de Freiburg in Deutschland (https://ccf-fr.de), hatte ich das Vergnügen, für 17 junge Leute im Alter von 15 bis 19 Jahren einen dreitägigen Fotoworkshop in Karlsruhe zu leiten, der am Rande von Schulsportveranstaltungen mit Deutschen und Franzosen stattfand.
Vom 12. bis 14. Juni 2024 haben diese Gymnasiasten Wettkämpfe in Badminton, Freesbee, Klettern, Basketball und Tischtennis fotografiert.
Dass dieses Projekt im Jahr der Olympischen Spiele in Paris 2024 realisiert wird, ist alles andere als ein Zufall. Es ist geplant, die neuen fotografischen Erkenntnisse zu vertiefen, bevor eine Ausstellung zusammengestellt wird, die im Januar 2025 in den Mauern des CCF stattfinden wird.

Scheduled as they have been every year since 2017 (apart from the year of the pandemic) in May-June 2024, the two annual workshops had to be moved to dates that were incompatible with my tight schedule between Olympics #Paris2024 and my next trip to Ukraine.
It’s a real pity, and I hope that next year the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation will do its utmost to ensure that our exemplary collaboration continues under better conditions.

Programmés comme chaque année depuis 2017 (hormis l’année de la pandémie) en mai-juin 2024, les deux ateliers annuels ont dû être déplacés à des dates incompatibles avec mon calendrier serré entre #Paris2024 et mon prochain voyage en Ukraine.
C’est vraiment dommage, et j’espère que l’année prochaine la Fondation Noursoultan Nazarbaïev mettra tout en œuvre pour que notre collaboration exemplaire se poursuive dans de meilleures conditions.

Запланированные, как и каждый год с 2017 года (кроме года пандемии), на май-июнь 2024 года, два ежегодных фотосеминара пришлось перенести на даты, несовместимые с моим плотным графиком между Олимпиадой Paris2024 и следующей поездкой в Украину.
Очень жаль, и я надеюсь, что в следующем году Фонд Нурсултана Назарбаева сделает все возможное, чтобы наше образцовое сотрудничество продолжилось в лучших условиях.

Visa pour l’Image is the oldest, best-known and most visited photojournalism festival. It is held every year in Perpignan, France, at the end of the summer.
For its 35th edition, its creator and director agreed to screen the work produced by young people in Marioupol as part of my ‘Pics for Peace’ project from January to July 2023.
I would have liked much more consideration for these young people and preparation for the screening (explaining the context). Obviously, this didn’t seem to be in Jean-François Leroy’s best interests.
I have no regrets, apart from giving this work more resonance.
I tried everything, paid for everything myself.

Visa pour l’Image ist das älteste, renommierteste und meistbesuchte Festival für Fotojournalismus. Es findet jedes Jahr im Spätsommer in Perpignan in Frankreich statt.
Für seine 35. Ausgabe hat sein Schöpfer und Direktor zugestimmt, die Arbeit der Jugendlichen aus Mariupol, die im Rahmen meines Projekts „Pics for Peace“ von Januar bis Juli 2023 entstanden sind, zu zeigen. Ich hätte mir viel mehr Wertschätzung für diese Jugendlichen und eine Vorbereitung auf die Vorführung gewünscht (Hintergrund erklären). Offensichtlich scheint dies nicht im Interesse von Jean-François Leroy zu sein.
Ich bereue nichts, außer dass ich mehr Resonanz auf diese Arbeit erhalten habe.
Ich habe alles versucht und alles selbst bezahlt.
