Fiesta Sinfónica
We start our season off in international style with Latin flair and plenty of fanfare. The Winds will perform two works by renowned Mexican composer Arturo Márquez, including his famous Danzon No. 2 and one exciting world premiere performance of his exciting new Symphony No. 5. And The University of Texas at Austin’s Mariachi Paredes will join the band for Reed’s La Fiesta Mexicana. This show promises to be muy caliente!

Christmas at the Meyerson
The last time New Orleans clarinet sensation Doreen Ketchens joined the Dallas Winds, she almost blew the roof off the place! So we’re bringing back the aptly nicknamed “The Clarinet Queen” to put her special signature on one of Dallas’s favorite festive Holiday traditions. Her spirited style will add extra warmth and excitement to a magical celebration filled with holiday cheer, unforgettable music, and the spirit of the season.
Back by popular demand! Doreen Ketchens, the “Queen of Clarinet”, one of New Orleans’ most beloved jazz clarinetists, returns to the Meyerson.
East Meets Winds
Experience an extraordinary blend of East and West with internationally acclaimed composer and Gao Hong, virtuoso of the ancient pipa, a four-stringed lute regarded as the “King of Chinese instruments.” Her A Musical Journey for Pipa and Band weaves lyrical beauty, dazzling technique, and rich cultural traditions into a vibrant musical tapestry. It’s a unique musical journey for a special Friday concert.

You’ll also hear the majestic Pebble Beach Sojourn featuring the Lay Family Concert Organ, and the powerful Passacaglia on B-A-C-H. It will be Friday full of revelry for sure!
