This part-built Ford Transit camper is the bargain of the century.

TAKE NOTE: IT’S A DOG WALKING [DAY VAN]

It has no bulkhead, nor a passenger seat, and no: I don’t have them either: got rid.

The current MOT is till October.

Last year I spent £800 on welding, and £650 on getting the Advisories fixed.

Upfront problems:
The van still requires some welding to be done on the back, but it’s apparently not structural. One issue, that three mechanics can’t find: is a miniscule water leak in the cooling system, it uses a dribble every 500 miles or so.

Reason for selling: It works fine, but health reasons are constantly keeping me from finishing it off. Then I got gifted a pre-built camper, so I’m now paying it forward.

No rems included, and I’m sorry if you can’t read it: not! – My advise – LEARN (!!!) – And then stop whinging!

Most of the reported errors are the results are from the poxy little minded “script kiddies” banging out their corrupt URLs; gleaned (then twisted) from my own site paths I might add, but some are from the main crawlers themselves.

But just what does it actually say?
Well for a start, this new killer covid virus is just another form of the common coronavirus; of which there are hundreds and hundreds that we have currently catalogued.

** No one really knows how many there are, and no one really knows how long they’ve been around: all happily infecting the lungs of their unwitting hosts, but from that; then it’s a good assumption, that it’s been ever since fish started breathing the air.

The Path:
Our current nemesis (apparently), travelled from Wuhan in China, where it dutifully followed the Silk Road back to it’s origin: Italy. From here, it then exploded into Europe.

The explosion, was in fact: a re-run of the good old Black Death and deadly Plague of yesteryear, which is also a re-run that can never happen again: because our ancestors were the survivors, which means that we have that immunity built right into our genetic make up.

In travelling through Persia, India and Asia, the upper respiratory virus decimated the unprepared populations, that mainly consisted of peoples unused to catching the common cold.

Unlike the Northern Europeans; where its a right of yearly passage.

** The common-cold that isn’t so common either, because the heady family is made up of the nasty class of coronaviruses as well, and that’s to name but one of them.

The Covid-19 virus then travelled out across the vast Atlantic, where it ripped through the Northern and South America populations: the thing actually thrived in the warm damp (unhygienic) climate of Brazil.

** Having a viral-denier, anti-mask, anti-fact dickhead in charge, actually helped the virus to establish itself and even flourish within the ignorant uneducated communities.

Balance:
The vast majority of normal viruses live (and thrive), quite harmlessly on our small little planet.

Viruses are also the most common biological entities on Earth, and like everything else on this stinking rock; does one of two things, 1.) Eat, and 2.) Reproduce.

• It’s the meaning of life.
  • And it’s what your own parents have done, to enable you to actually read this.

Evolution:
Any organism that kill its host before reproducing, doesn’t survive: it’s not a personal intelligent choice that it makes, but (selective) evolution in action.

Going Viral:
So lets apply that rule to a virus. If the virus kills its food source, it can’t eat, and consequently, it can’t make babies: then it becomes extinct, the living viral organism never achieves its full potential.

On the other hand, a virus that can infect its host, eat without harming the host, and then reproduce inside the host, (without killing it), survives.

New Bug, Old Name:
Originally, the COVID-19 was extremely virulent, but that virulence caused many of the host(s), that it managed to invade: to die, and the host(s) mortality slowed it spread, but in making thousands of localised copies, some of these younglings did less damage and spread quicker: these became know as variants.

• Delta and Omnicom are two such variants that we’ve currently catalogued, and they both do far less damage on the host than their aggressive parents ever did.

Antibodies:
If that was the entire story, then the virulent original virus could indeed have thrived, but it doesn’t, and that because (over a billion years or so), organic life on this planet has leaned to fight back against viruses: whereby the many millions of independent organisms have developed inbuilt antibodies to fight off (known) invading viruses.

The organism that didn’t, simply died off.

Some ancient common-garden viruses aren’t aggressive; they have evolved to not cause an adverse reaction in the host.
These benign viruses are, (by and large), ignored.

This is proof of evolution in action, because the ancient virus by-product cell poison does no damage to the biological organism. The by-product is their technical droppings in the cell, expelled after consumption and procreation, and it’s this poison that can cause a reaction in any living host.

Fight Back:
It’s that line above, (known) invading viruses – which is the key in all this, because once infected with an invading virulent pathogen: then the organic body in question creates antibodies to kill off the detected viral poison.

• These are known medical facts.

If a host can’t create an exact match, then a close antibody copy will do.

That close antibody-copy causes the hosts temperature to rise as the infection (re: poison-hunt), is fought internally, with the organic host body literally throwing everything at the invader.

An invader which is having a technical dump in the infected cells; whilst it’s expelled children are also trying to eat everything insight, and are theoretically trying to take over at the same time.

If the infected host survives, then that new antibody is added to the bodies viral arsenal.

• These statements are not known medical facts.
• These statements are a logical observation.

These statements also don’t feed into the fake lore of immunity waning over time: our immunity is eternal.

Vaccines: 
This is what a benign vaccine does, it provides the host with a close copy of the current virus to work on, and thusly create permanent antibodies.

• Which is why a viral reaction in an (unsullied) host is sometimes observed.
• With a (sullied) host showing almost no reaction whatsoever.

** That’s because the organism in question has already been exposed to the virus (or one of its close kissin’ cousins), and at sometime in the sullied hosts own dim and distant past: in other words, the host knows what to expect.

Covid-19 will soon be one of those great many benign viruses found out in the wild: due in part to the aggressive vaccine programmes, and also our own bodies highly active immune systems.

The virus isn’t eternal, but drug company profits are finite: hence the rabid fake news on boosters being needed at all costs, (they aren’t), and the world in general is slowly coming to that costly conclusion.

So, how do you catch COVID-19?
This is going to be contentious. 

Originally, no one knew: they did however know that the virus had to attached itself on one small section of your lung, and from that point on: you were infected with it.

Originally, the airborne route was dismissed by all of the so called experts in pay of our knowable superiors. Whereby the experts (all) told us that it lived on surfaces, and then transferred to our mouths via our hands, and this is where the infection occurred, but that was (all) fake news.

All proven, because the virus is killed by saliva, and it couldn’t even live for very long on any surface.

Unfortunately, that didn’t stop the Hands Face Space mantra from constantly being spouted out by our illiterate superiors, and they rapidly spouted it out as a method of salvation and prevention: it isn’t, wasn’t, and never has worked.

Covid is an airborne virus, (an established fact), so you can wash you hands till the cows come home, but it won’t stop you from catching it.
Take a deep breath, .. and calm down.

There, you’ve got it!

OK, so where does this Covid virus actually come from?
Answer! – Your clothes! – You are walking through clouds of the **expelled virus when simply moving around.

Expelled in the breath of the infected, whether asymptomatic or not! – An infected person is an incubation factory for Covid, as well as a myriad of other harmless viruses.

Masks do actually work, from you giving it away to others (for free), but they do funk all in preventing you from actually breathing it in.

The Way:
The covid virus is so small, that millions of them are hitching a ride on the backs of the billions of grains of pollen and other microscopic motes of household dust that surrounds us constantly, and it all builds up on our clothing: we are infecting ourselves.
Take a deep breath, .. and calm down, but wear some PPE as you do!

A simple black bin bag worn across and over your chest will do it.
Now, take a deep breath, .. and finally calm down (for real.)

So: in conclusion, we are our own infectors! And this deadly pathogen; will eventually mutate to be a benign virus, just like the billions of others that you’ve just expelled.

A process that found me using the WP bbPress plugin platform as its foundation, done mainly because of the PHP software’s well documented integration to within WordPress itself.

A Forum BTW: that’s accessible by clicking the MFOR:02 button found on the main Home screen. Which is a feature that’s only available to registered board members, or time-Warriors as I like to call them. Try clicking it, and not being logged in: then you’ll be invited to register.

All done with the tiny piece of server side PHP code supplied.

On my long timely journey, I tried out myBB and phpBB with its long wide screen (going on forever, making it hard to read), but in my long drawn out reading: I also personally witnessed the ongoing spits in developmental arguments, forcing the small development user pool into further smaller defragmentation pods in the process.

The ongoing developing reader, also tried a host of other forums on the way, with every one of them falling at the first hurdle; especially when applying (the-Test!)

the-Test is simply being able to get to the data on the forum in question, whilst also being very easy to navigate.

Many of the modern message boards: literally flood you with flashy features, (literally) making finding the information an uphill battle, that also sees you constantly batting away the endless adverts; which in itself, actually forces the user to learn how to (use) the ad-ridden software.

The second hurdle, is that the forum (the BBS), must be very easy to modify!

None of the standalone versions were, with all of them requiring a major investment in time (and in some cases: a sizable cash outlay), and that’s to even learn how the frontend works, let alone what’s happening to your backend cash reserves.

Even bbPress demanded some overheads, but it wasn’t as bad as the likes of SMF, (Simple Machines Forum), which initially looked very promising, but once you started digging into the backend to modify the pipes, you soon began to realise that the entire architecture sucks!

Flarum anyone? – WTF? – It’s as ugly as funk, and is not a new way forward as they propose, and once you start rooting in its own backend to bring about change, then one soon realises that rainbow flashy buttons is all that it can do.

** Flashy buttons and popups found on many forums, that all basically (do) the same thing, but some of them can also unwittingly subscribe you to the seedy sales and advertising side of things.

WIX, (for example), is more like a complete website solution: as opposed to a forum; which is what its billed as. The disguised website builder comes complete with drag and drop panels, and of course; a plethora of flashy buttons, all popping up everywhere, some at the bottom, the top, and also appearing on the sliding floating sidebar.

The disguised website is a feature rich (desert), where the simplicity of the backend modification isn’t immediately obvious to the operator, its that hidden backend ethos that reflects badly on the front end usefulness.

The Sales Pitch.

Quite frankly, (in my own humble opinion), none of the current stand-alone forums are fit for purpose, because they’ve all evolved into a fast paced advertising sales-driven platforms. Here, they all excel, with all of them travelling at high speed down the information-super-highway; whilst heavily promoting their targeted sales-adverts as they go.

** With all of the (sales-driven-forums), only once in the (user) to (user) screens: do they then they work to your advantage, but getting to that stage, isn’t bloomin’ well easy.

bbPress also sufferers from bloat, but out of all of them: it was the easiest to slim down and modify, mainly because its based on WP, which exclusively uses the simple shortcodes and templates that the platform is known for: that overall user flexibility, is definitely something that can’t be said for the rest.

Still shuddering at some of the closed-in preoperatory systems that I inspected on my travels. Most weren’t necessary, and all of them (close their file structures off), were mainly done for reasons of profitable ownership. Unfortunately, that closed-in mind set, also splits up the money driven development teams on the way.

• Only one forum out of all of them, was really open-sourced.
• Only one out of all of them, was template based.
• Only one out of all of them, actually holds its database information; in a format that (any) data-manager can read, for example: phpMyAdmin.

But its not all sweetness and light in the bbPress camp, because even that platform is suffering from ongoing stagnation, with a lack of interest in it being high on the list.

The php written software platform is also long in the tooth, with having next to no mobile-first layout in place.

bbPress even lacks current support on their own forums for that niggly little topic, especially with programming questions going unanswered around the mobile-first issue. Mobile issues aside, the main entries in their own forums, actually occur between 2007 and 2014, after that; it’s core support has ** dropped off somewhat.

** I personally think that its mainly due to the dramatic rise of the simple to use social networks, FB Twitter Reddit etc:

Intestinally, it’s never those modern flashy platforms that come up on Google, (when for example), you search for css examples whilst using the href tag, and not forgetting asking existing purchasers how they charge their own car batteries, and of course — searching for Windows 10 software issues, which could then take you on to how to tie a clove-hitch-knot as a side-search.
It’s all there, if you look, and its all there on the old style forums.

Yet in all this, the forums are a dying breed, but they remain the main source of technical information.

The problem in the public domains information’s demise, is that the classic (forum) needs a real degree of hard work on the part of the operator to get it all working.

Although not as much effort in getting Vanilla to work, which is a closed-in forum based software platform. It’s also a glorified sales environment that carries an eye-watering subscription fee to get you started; a hidden ongoing cost, that really is a feature rich forested infestation living in your wallet.

bbPress is also a feature rich woodland, (but at least you can see the woods for the trees), which means that I spent most of my time turning-off the useless information panels, and the great many flashy profile buttons: after that, I learned how the backend layout functions worked.

In the end, I have my two hard coded forums: all assessed from a simple root template scheme.

Click on any Topic, and it opens up the Discussion!

Using something like phpBB, means that the structure is fixed, but being able to edit the PHP template files in WordPress, also means that I now have total control over my own sites layout: which then lends itself quite nicely in how it integrates with my own hard coded PHP theme.

Something else to consider: as stated above, only registered members can view my own message boards, so spam being dumped here isn’t an issue.

Unfortunately, that can’t be said for the rest of the heavily moderated forums found out there, that in turn; employ a veritable army of volunteer moderators, constantly deleting the ongoing filth.

Using FB and Twitter is much easier to deal with your target audience, (ie: your customers.) But the social media outlets are also flooded with troll spam, that’s largely unmoderated: which is why they are also largely useless for any serious research, or help!

Forums are hard work to run and maintain, but their use is also invaluable in going forwards.

After nine (ten) months of leaning CSS HTML and JS, ..
This poxy Newbie has only now just discovered how to combine classes, (within a declaration.)

Prior to me finally figuring that out, the ignorant tosspot was using # and IDs in my HTML code and style-sheets respectively.

It worked, as in:-

<a class="img-spacer" id="command-links" .. etc ..

But in doing this, I then found the code being hammered by all of the website speed-testers found out there. With all of them pointing out my (I thought: unavoidable), errors, but it seems not!

So, to recap:
During the PHP (server-side) < a href > link build, ..

If the link *is* active; then the PHP string is built thus:-

History Unfolding:-

Thursday the 26th, the net is playing up with the normal squirrely (wait-for-it) rotating pattern, streaming is impossible.

Friday the 27th at 9:56 AM (precisely), the web at B92 central crashed out. I know this, because that was the last image recorded on my window-Cam.

Rebooting the bloody virgin Hub, .. did no good!

Going on-line, .. (on my phone), .. did no good!

So, (via a hotspot on my iPhone, gently touching the delicate G-spot on my dead and floundering PC), I eventually connected to one of the many virgin support tits.

The master sucker virgin Bot, in charge on-line, (recognised my PC), and eventually my active account: then coyly told us (me) to monitor the situation for 24 hours.

Huffing loudly I obediently waited; as all good virgin customers where ordered to do.

Saturday the 28th – 8:30 AM, rebooted the virgin’s manky old box, got the web back, for precisely twelve and a half hours!

Then no amount of reboots would keep the virgin’s chasm-void box of tricks working for more than an hour, before the pox ridden bitch started wandering off-line, yet again.

Saturday night, still no person(s) to talk too, but on my humble phone, and after all that registered kerfuffle at virgin Bot HQ; I managed to book an engineer.

First free slot – Monday the 30th (between 12 and 4), so here I sit in the lap of the callous uncaring virgin, quietly waiting for my cherry to be popped, and it’ll no doubt be done by a burly-man wearing protection, (in the form of a covid-19 facemask.)

Now, if I hadn’t had my phone: with its attendant touchpad and G timed hot spot, then I’d have been well and truly buggered.

One feels slightly funcked by the whole experience anyway, and not funked in a god way either.

Digging deeper.

Move over virgin, the BT men have just dug up my street, so I’m gonna’ chase the new man-lings for a tryst. Prostitution comes in all shapes and strange exotic flavours.

Now, I know for a fact, that the new-man in the street is much worse, but funk me; this virgin blow off job sucks.

Pleasantly surprised:-

OK, so a hooman virgin just came, and he was in and out so quick, that it fair took my breath away.

Now, I haven’t needed any hand holding from the support backend for a good 15 years, and that was when the new Hub got shoved through the door. Prior to that, it was to have the phone line sorted out in 2006, it didn’t work at all, and hadn’t been working for sometime before I realised.

It’s also been over twenty four years since the original install, but it seems that over that period: the cable joints had deteriorated , the masked man replaced them, pumped up the dB in the cabernet over the road, and then followed through with a test fingering of the ports.

Seems that you need to finger the open ports to get a good response.

The masked finger wager’s gone now, and I finally have the Internet working once more, but I just can’t stop watching the wretched light on the old Hub to ensure that it’s still working.

Think that I’m gonna cover it up with a carboard box condom construction, just to stop it over-coming me with seminal self doubt.

So, this virgin’s experience is one of two halves, that mainly stems from the frustrating situation that has many parts.

The human interface was very good, arousing and extremely satisfying: whereas the machines just suck!

During the last (long forgotten) lockdown, and during the intense heat of that last (long forgotten) month: I was in the garden typing away on my super-‘fast’ super-‘fast’-revamped Toshiba from an online company called the cheaplaptopcompany.

Who, in my own humble opinion, are a (shit) UK firm to deal with, and yes, you get what you pay for, but that still doesn’t explain why I’ve been removed from their mailing list. I never even gave them any grief over flogging me a machine with only 6GB of RAM when they advertised it as having 8. I just bit the bullet on that one.

Rider: From here on in, I have to admit that this fascinating posting on Hardware Rim reviews is basically for my great many UK readers, but those found overseas might find it useful nonetheless, and might I even add, amusing to some degree?

Now, I have (had) nothing but praise for that old Toshiba Portege Z930 machine, but my dog jumping on it from the shed roof (a distance of about five feet) did very little good for the keyboard, resulting in a great many stuck and missing keys. It must also be said that the impact did nothing good for the laptop’s loose chassis either. A framework that constantly dropped USB connections, especially if you accidentally knocked it, was something early on that I’d rather quickly learn not to do.

But! — Being as the keyboard layout is [key], and being as it was buggered somewhat, it hampered my writing and coding work, (with using a bolt-on USB keyboard being out of the question.)

Been there, done that: got well and truly pissed off with the trailing cables and/or draining batteries, and all that fine build was built right inside a fine-looking wooden box, and yet the entire setup still miffed me off somewhat. The laptop-style PCs work, and they work well.

So yet another new laptop machine was actively sought.

Couldn’t afford an i7 chip (of any flavour), so I went looking for an i5 setup with lots of memory and storage RAM and, of course, that right-hand column HOME, PGUP, PGDN, END, and big cursor key combo.

After lots and lots and yet more lots of looking, I literally stumbled across a gaming machine from MCI called a GF63. I wouldn’t bother with that link if I were you. It’s a CEO-driven company bullshit advert, containing lots of clever glitz and glamour animation, selling something that’s not even real.

The picture below is real, however, and was photographed in real lighting conditions: it isn’t as bright as it’s made out to be.

** Currently as of Aug 2021, the GF63 is being sold at the ridiculously cheap price of £550.00 by a UK company called Laptops Direct. My limited review of them is that they deliver (and have done so in a timely manner in delivering my machine), but I have not tried to contact them about anything technical, though.

** The keyboard overlay you see above was originally sold by an Amazon reseller (out of stock), but a quick Google search found this keyboard cover supplied by a company called JWewgroups.

Unfortunately (for me), that most amazing laptop deal above wasn’t available when I was doing my (lots of looking). Nevertheless, paying £699 for a returned refurbished unit was a bargain at the time, and I don’t regret my purchase, but that new price does actually reflect the machine’s usefulness as a gaming console; it’s apparently considered an unpowered low-end player.

But I’m just running it as a basic word processor.

The first thing that I did with the new gaming unit was disable the useless Dragon Center software. Good for gamers (apparently), but not so good for us mere wordsmith mortals futilely trying to run the laptop on a WiFi-enabled network setup. The program is also malware in my considered opinion, as it constantly tries to sell (rent) me games to play, and don’t even get me started on the bloody useless, long-winded updates. With everyone attempting to install yet more and more (featured) rubbish inside the operating system itself.

Killing off the evil Red Dragon…

1.) Inside the MSI Center Program, the Windows key can be enabled with a switch found in (Home) -> (General Settings).

2.) The horrid vicious snapping thing can actually be disabled from ‘starting on powerup’ under the (COG) settings option at the bottom of the main screen, … and with that, the hamstrung dragon dies a software death of blissful ignorance, never to rear its ugly head ever again.

Birthing a new pure Black Guardian…

The gaming laptop’s Win10 operating system is actually missing the Menu Key (ALT GR) combination, but it was relatively easily restored with a program called “SharpKeys”, constructed by a chap who refers to himself online as Randy Rants. The software works, and it works very well.

**As a running footnote here: I also personally think that SharpKeys is much easier to use than AutoHotkey, but as they constantly say in the ever-forward, fast-thinking software trade, it’s horses for courses.**

For us normal PC users, and especially us madcap wild-eyed laptop warriors (Ye-Haw!), This modest machine does everything that a wild woods person/wordsmith adventurer will ever want… (or need.)

Case in point, Local by Flywheel absolutely crippled my old HP laptop (colloquially called the dirty old man) with the chugging fans constantly running in the background, done so to compensate for the hammering that the memory and onboard chips were experiencing from the demanding software. **It’s the same development server setup on the MSI, and I can honestly say that I don’t even know if this new machine has cooling fans; I’ve never heard them running.**

(Same development server setup)—that statement sounds so innocent, doesn’t it? – But that naive declaration above is, in actual fact, Satan’s cleverly selected set of cursing constructs, all constructed from below the sanity belt. A set of words that burns cripples and maims your soul beyond repair because it has taken me over a cyclical month to get everything, and I do mean absolutely everything—from one machine to another.

Normally, I’d just let the old girl retire to a nice quiet set of drawers somewhere and then inspect her underwear now and again for something in her nether regions that I need, as I’ve done with my dirty old HP man, but this i7 machine is far too powerful for that sort of retirement plan. An action plan, which then necessitated a full backup: not only of the data but of the numerous software settings as well, which is an aspect that’s often overlooked when moving house… (Grin!)

As a result, the detailed backup took the best part of my life to complete, with me constantly referring to the old girl’s messy underwear before eventually fitting some sort of new software padding support to the new kid’s undergarments.

** My baby child got old, well before her time, but her time came about when the umbilical cord was finally cut, whereby the old woman was then packed up and promptly sent off to her new home as a photo-editing tool. With the new owner (Callie), fixing her in place and then running everything from a powered USB hub.

The entire exercise left me a little sad in saying goodbye to the old girl; it also surprised me at what was left behind because my entire sorry excuse of a life is now encapsulated in a 128GB pen drive and one solitary 60GB flash drive.

In looking at them innocently lying there, I now realise how transient and temporary our pitiful existence really is, living as we all are on this small, insignificant little planet.

Should I die tomorrow, then practically no one will remember me in five years from now, and what about a hundred years?

Proof of that statement comes from this argument…

What was your grandmother’s mother’s name? – What sort of woman was she? – What were her dreams and aspirations? – How did she go about them? – You are a result of her dreaming actions, so she must have done something right and well in her own life, but these facts are now all forgotten in time. So use your (now) time well.

I am… I am working once again on this wretched website, and once finished, I’ll then start on my (long-forgotten) books once more.

For the life of me, I just can’t see the point of it: the point being, allowing greenhorns to set up and run CMS blogs, and all without any form of formal training.

Very laudable, but the trouble is that you need an experienced grounding in the very concept of the CSS layout to then start using the wretched thing… and that’s before you even begin thinking about your content.

Content is irrelevant… Blocks are king!

Which is also a bold statement that little old me has wantonly cringed at. Because it’s your unique content that actually brings the punters in so that your marvelous blocks can be displayed.

Anyone for an egg butty? Sandwich? – What’s a chicken?

I’ve been watching some YouTube videos on using the Gutenberg block editor. Yes, (with a plugin), you can construct some really marvelous grid layout of your Blogs, pages, or whatever: with the “whatever” being new post types, and that alone is a nasty rabbit hole to get lost in.

The other hole is sliding css sliders, background and foreground color changers, as well as font size adjusters: all these wonderful features are freely available, (at a price!)

The problem with Blocks is that it isn’t geared up for creative writing, as in creating this Post, something that I’ve gone back and re-edited several times.

In (Blocks), it’s a right royal pain.

It’s like someone back at WordPress wonderland had lost the plot, backed themselves up into a corner, and then turned their collective backs on the world.

WordPress 5.8 is a case in point. What the funk is that update all about? – Restrictive media displays, requiring multiple key presses to simply scroll through your images!

• • Now with blocks on widgets?
    • Like that’s an urgent requirement!
  • But don’t despair!
    • You can also use the query loop block. WTF?
  • And all this is designed to draw in a new and more dynamic audience?

Even most of the experienced WordPress folks that I know are scratching their heads and saying “wtf” at that.

It’s almost like someone wants to kill off themes and plugins.

The Gutenberg Block aficionados and pushers are very experienced in their markup trade. So much so, that they’ve actually forgotten how newbies think or those they’re targeted to… ‘draw in a new and more dynamic audience!‘

A plain ordinary editor (as TinyMCE is) is all that a CMS newbie really needs to express themselves online, but that’s not where the money is.

Blocks is directly targeted at the money-making, money-grabbing, advertising-mad website user, who has also installed advertising popups everywhere, but Blocks is being hailed and peddled as something that the newbie wants and needs above all; they don’t.

These up-and-coming version 2.0 newbies are the wide-eyed innocents of the twenty-first century and are all naïve as to what a CMS really is (especially WordPress), but they all seem to somehow know that that’s where the real money is.

They saw it on CNN.

It’s like selling candy chocolate to underage juveniles and then charging double for the next sugar fix because the next hit will rake in the cash.

This Guttenberg brigade are peddling the wares to children, but the adults in the crowd know different: the adults are voting with their feet (by walking away from it.)

The only experienced adults that are actively promoting the use of Blocks are the influencers, hell-bent on raking it in as they also grab a slice of the profitable newbie pie.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. “It’s like kids selling burgers to other kids.” This can’t go on. Where’s the creativity in flipping meat patties for a living?

This hopeless pilgrim doesn’t really know.

What I do know is that thousands upon thousands of people are testing positive for covid-19 and (apparently) all the known variants under the sun as well. Tested infected people who are asymptomatic (who have no symptoms), and it’s these poor souls that are being told to isolate themselves during this terrible pandemic that affects (not kills) 97 to 98% of the population.

To put that into some perspective, if a percent is a person, then 2 people out of a hundred will get ill from it, and I assume that one of them may well die as a result of catching the airborne virus.

** There are about 7.5 billion people currently living on this marvelous blue-marble world, with 2% representing 156 million people. Cut that in half, and you have about 80 million people (prematurely) dying of COVID-19.

In the UK, there are currently (about) 68 million people: so 1,360,000 will be affected, with (perhaps) 68,000 people dying.

** A normal flu season kills off about 25,000 people, and this is from a report compiled in 2003, with even the great epidemic of 1989/90 only killing off about 20,000 people.

Now, facts and figures can (and are) adjusted and re-adjusted for whatever reason the researcher thinks fit to get their grants, and nothing screams new research funding like media hysteria: all selling advertising space, of course.

** What isn’t in doubt, however, is that the flu kills both young and old indiscriminately, whereas covid-19 specifically targets the old and those poor souls with underlying health conditions.

The elderly population of the UK is about 12 million, so looking again at those figures above, 1 out of the 12 million OAPs will sadly die, which means that we can expect 120,000 elderly deaths, and obviously those poor souls with underlying health conditions (a figure that isn’t known).

Currently, the death rate of covid-19 in the UK is set at approximately 152,000 (because even those figures have been manipulated), and for this *expected* death tally, the entire country has been put in lockdown.

This lockdown status was never billed as a cure but simply as a means of *slowing down* the spread of this deadly 1% infection, and that’s the sad fact that’s constantly being ignored by the media, all selling their advertising space while also ignoring the fact that this virus has run its course.

The UK Government is aware of this, hence the cautious use of the words—’We have to learn to live with it.’

Now, if we could only get the rampant media on-side as well, then normality would soon return. The trouble is, every Tom, Dick, and Harry now has covid-19 test kits that are (at best) 60% effective in detecting the virus (and its many variants), with the orange-fruit variant now being used to skew the results just to get a couple of weeks off work (or school).

Schools, where the deadly infection rates are literally going through the roof. In the last estimate, 176,000 pupils and teachers were (and are) self-isolating, with the hysterical media seizing on it and demanding a return to *total* lockdown conditions.

Like that’s ever gonna happen again.

The total cost to the UK is currently set at about £300 billion.

** From April 2020 to 2021, the UK government borrowed £299 billion, the highest figure since records began in 1946, and it’s our children’s children’s children that will have to eventually pay off the accrued debt.

No ruling government in power can simply afford to borrow constantly like that.

The main underlying facts to stop it dead are the fact that the inoculation programs in the UK are working, with hospital admissions for covid-19 being way down, with the vast majority of patients in them choosing *not* to be inoculated and actually ending up on the infectious wards as a result.

Yet, in this covid-free utopia, the hospital admissions are hitting an all-time high. The problem here is that people, during the lockdown, didn’t approach their GPs for help, with the NHS now paying the price for their clients all hiding away during this supposed pandemic.

Patients and clients who are so traumatized by the lockdown that they literally can’t mentally function anymore: I am counted amongst them.

IDES is basically the middle, as in the middle of March, which was a hard time when Caesar got given the bullet and then shafted by his old pal Brutus in the Senate.
Arseholes come in all shapes and sizes, but ‘sennett’ is a new one to me.

IDS is an ID of an idea, as in an ID of a programming point to deal with.

The website’s ID bullet points are fast approaching their dramatic conclusion; all I have to do now is the JavaScript popup rollovers.

This is a bit long, as it’s an in-depth article on what’s been happening at B92 Central and especially the progress of the writeOn website over in the last ten months or so; it also represents a detailed breakdown what I’ve personally achieved and discovered over that period:-

1.) Learned just what PHP text webpages are and the role they play in writing your own WordPress theme. Much of that time was devoted to learning all about implementing the new (old) CSS grid into WordPress; the dreaded (fudge) of floats doesn’t feature in it either.

Subnote:- there was (is) so much garbage on-line that snobbishly covers the right and tuttingly wrong way of creating your own official WordPress website, and especially its officially prescribed folder structure: that yours truly got well and truly lost in the myriad of upper-class bullshit that I ran into back there, (but I gotta say here: it’s a lot funkier and easier than those stuffy, poxy, namby-pamby, hair-brained floating-head programming snobs would have you believe.)

2.) Discovered what developmental environment was best suited for me; can’t be doing with Visual Code at any price. I also discovered some time back that the Notepad++ text editor is all that you actually need, and of course adding a local server is a basic requirement for any serious development.

So, armed with a basic understanding of what’s actually required to create a WordPress website, and also armed with several template themes from the many YouTube tutorials, I eventually began coding my own CSS grid-based site, a unique *sight* that I had in my mind from day one.

Layout – {tick!} – Right-hand menu cluster leading to the central control column, which in itself was initially created for my own bookstand display, which is the main reason for this website’s creation in the first place. The actual working framework of the mCars theme is so unique, that you’ll never be able to forget it. {tick!}

Colours – {tick!} – the (black) background housing the secondary (deep blue) tones, are a set of hues that subtly link back to the dusty pink (sky blue) and orange information lines, so thusly, do we then make the mCars color theme so unique, that you’ll never want to forget it? {tick!}

Mobile last – {tick!} – The WordPress theme squishes up quite nicely with the many CSS grids that I’ve employed, but even they have trouble with the site being just 300 pixels wide; that said, a floating site would have been just pumping out raw text by then, but even at that ridiculously squashed-up cheap Chinese Android mobile screen display, the CSS grids used are still quite readable. Mobile wise, the site is so unique in its composure compression and color balance, that you’ll never, ever be able to put it from your mind, {tick!}

Help Popups: – {ongoing, but tick!} – I’ve rather grumpily removed BoxZilla, every update of that plugin comes with yet more and more intrusive features – it’s got to the point of me not trusting any part of it anymore, especially when suggested users and useless features and even adverts for expensive add-ons keep constantly popping up on my own admin backend. So as a result: it’s now gone, and I’ve implemented my own jQuery-driven popup iFrame box, not the quickest solution, but much more secure, (in that it’s my own code.)

Searching for answers: – {not ticked} – When I started down the the mobile last route and had the site compressed for a iPad with the sidebar dropped (that also had the search bar on it) I soon discovered that you couldn’t have two search boxes on the same site, as the Aralia speech function is built right into the WP core itself.

The first work round was to create two functions that switched themselves on and off depending on the screen width, (couldn’t get it to run.)

The second option required a major code creation project, (even at its basic configuration: I couldn’t get that to run either.) In the end, I gave up trying to implement my own search function – done so as it also slowly dawned on me that the subject was far too complex to achieve within my ever-reducing time restraints, (10 months on this project is getting slightly ridiculous.)

That said, an awful lot of it was learning how to actually code the WordPress platform in PHP, and that’s something that really is an ongoing task.

As a result of my timely restraints, I’ve installed a WP plugin called Ivory Search. Gotta say here that it’s not that bad. In the admin backend, it’s a breeze to simply create your new shiny search boxes. Styling is easy through your styles. CSS file as well, but only as long as you set it (it can be styled externally) – switch first: spit!

Whether this plugin remains useful (or not) is in question, and that’s simply because with all WordPress plugins, the authors want you to upgrade and nag you constantly to upgrade. In Ivory’s case, the Pro version has added features that I’ll never ever use. It’s also a rather expensive subscription service that they offer. Additional: The search plugin has already started to nag me for a five-star review, which I know too well is the precursor for a heavy-weight advertising blitz demanding that I upgrade.

** I’ve found over time, that the incessant plugin nag screens personally get me to the point of simply uninstalling the wretched things, as I then personally embark upon my own journey of WP PHP coding rediscovery, (search this watch space.)

Other bullet points on my website for consideration. I’ve ditched all of the WordPress widgets, which also includes their unnecessary and unneeded support in my functions. PHP file: freeing up quite a lot of processor space in the process, I might add.

What you see running along the top navbar, down the sidebar and scattered all along the bottom widget areas are all *hard-coded* to my own personal requirements.
Coded using a vanilla PHP dialect, I might add, and all combined using the bog-standard WordPress hooks.

Menus: I have (and am) looking long and hard at the overly complex drag-and-drop menu system that WordPress employs, with my conclusion being that I really don’t need it.

The links to my pages, blogs and books wouldn’t be that hard to include in any article that I create; currently, the jury’s still out on whether I keep the menu stuff in or not.

Customiser: Is something that I don’t use either, being as I’m hard-coding all of my colours, with no widgets to move or add, and with even the menu system under serious consideration, it all actually makes the extensive customiser code found in the functions. PHP is largely irrelevant.

Using the customiser was quite amusing when I initially began learning all about WP theme design, but I’ve not got much use for it these days.

Nor have I got any use for that pathetic Guttenberg block editor (piece of nonsense); what a load of old crap that thing is, which is also being pushed and heavily promoted by the lily-livered American snowflakes, who simply won’t listen to what the unwashed masses say about it. BTW, the unwashed masses are also the ones who made WordPress what it is today, but where that stupid editor is concerned, thou: they are refusing point blank to take our justified concerns seriously.

The casual observations that I’ve stated above, are hard-and-fast sacrosanct WordPress laws of perfection that I’ve just wantonly broken, done so by even questioning the precious precocious programmers who promote the WordPress core of perfection, people whose perfect design constraints are holding back the software stack’s development (double spit!)

I can do this thing and actually question their prefect Gutenberg ethos because I’m never going to put this theme out there as an official repository download where it fails on so many fronts, mainly because it’s not gender neutral and has references to even admitting that slavery ever existed.

**Read the Bible, folks; the Jews (God’s chosen people) owned lots and lots and lots of them throughout the long ages.

My balanced take on it is this: the puritan programming snobs can go to hell with their prescribed layouts and naming conventions and especially their stupid wet solutions that, in actual fact, save you very little processor time and resource space on your server.

OTT wassocks, the lot of ’em.

From above, we smite you… All the narrow-minded written tutorials that you’ll ever read on the subject of WP theme production assume that you’ll want to make your millions on the wonderful new thing that you’re developing, which in actual fact all look the same at the end of the day, with their block of rolling menus smoothly (rolling) over a static background, and all of them following that terrible (rolling) Gutenberg block design style.

AKA: the twenty twenty-one theme. The thing is boring; it’s rubbish, and you can never find the articles that you’re looking for on it, as you inevitably scroll (and roll) past hundreds of bloody boring irrelevant adverts.

Never once do any of the many teachers online, working away on their very many YouTube channels, ever stop to consider why their viewers are following them: because it’s fun never seems to cross their collective consciousness; they all seem to think that they’re doing something that’s vitally important to your own (their own) financial development plan, as they then also offer their own private subscription channels…

** It’s the classic call to action! The invasive popups that I can’t stand (Spit!).

So thusly do we make even more money, (the only one making any money is them.)

No, the money grabbers all think that their private tutorial is the breakthrough, that you obviously desperately need to make your own personal fortune, and so the cycle of life begins anew: with the wide-eyed pupils creating their own media to privately consume, (at a price.)

Epilogue… it’s just like MacDonald employees selling burgers to themselves, and you’ll also see it everywhere you go: for example, within the public HTML and CSS forums, where the questions being asked are downright dumb, and all that’s being done is backdoor advertising to their own troubled websites, whereby you’ll find that they are selling burger revenues to other site operators, and don’t even get me started on the so-called ‘developmental writing forums’ that are apparently devoted to cultivating a better writing style that, in actual fact, are just full of bright-eyed J.K. Rowling wannabes eagerly pushing their badly crafted burger-placement vampire love stories and meaty stacked books onto other authors who, bright-eyed, push their own bread roll patty-driven werewolf drivel right back.

Conclusion: The World Wide Web has become a very blind to the process of creating burgers from slaughtered and butchered animals, and also a very greedy place to work in.
