Confirmation Bias

True to form and in-keeping with site policy, I have decided to share one of the more entertaining talking heads to ever grace my television set. You might have noticed the new Dan Radiostyle promo block here on BlogDogIt. I suggest you give it a click. Clicking the image gets you to his Rumble channel clicking the name takes you to his X profile.

After creating the ad block, I had the bright idea to post a screenshot of it to X (formerly Twitter - as if you didn't know that already) with the tagline: Is this guy REAL or A.I. ??? — of course I know he is real. I have been watching this guy's news aggregation efforts for several years now and I can attest that this guy is just about as real as it gets.

So real in fact, that when he noticed my playful attempt to grab attention he saw fit to supply an answer to my query: Pretty sure I am real. — This is exactly the degree of honesty we followers of Dan Radiostyle have come to depend upon.

Pardon our dust as we grow to serve you better

I have finally completed the server migration for the complete family of DeBurger Photo Image & Design's website destinations.
Of course BlogDogit.com was priority-one, since that is the source of all my ad revenue, so to speak <*wink*> but once it was going again (a story in itself) it was Oaklandon calling for my attention.Â

Both BlogDogIt and Oaklandon are running in the latest version of GeekLog [2.2.2] and just so you know, that version is not compatible with PHP 8.2.28 without some programmatic tweaking ;) <= it had to be said.</p>
We have lost our media gallery plug-in feature but hopefully that can be restored since it contained some really good resources for Oaklandon fans.

The biggest problem I've seen has been the occasional missing post - triggering "404" errors. If you come across a missing resource I would appreciate a heads-up. All resources have been backed-up so it is likely a case of misplaced fileage.

Regular vs E-85 Price Equivulator

For several years now I have been driving a "Flex Fuel" vehicle - which means it can run on different blends of gasoline and ethanol. In my area I have a choice to use either Regular Unleaded or E-85 (85% ethanol fuel and 15% gasoline by volume.) The E-85 is typically priced substantially lower than Regular gas but there is a trade-off in that E-85 does not deliver the same mileage as Regular.

When fuel prices climb higher, the lower price of E-85 looks all the more attractive. However, it is hard to decide at the pump whether the lower cost is worth it, vis-à-vis the reduced fuel economy. In order to make an intelligent decision as to which would be more cost effective, I dusted off my limited javascript skills to devise this gizmo that painlessly compares the two options in terms of cost per mile.

Of course, it is up to you to discover your relative miles-per-gallon for each type of fuel. Once you are armed with that information you can enter those into the form below (my values are automatically inserted but you can change them to your own), along with the price of one or the other type fuel. Click the "EQUATE" button to learn the break-even price for the other.
