I wouldn’t know the difference between Ebi Katsu and a Gyudon rice bowl, and should be the last to comment on what is and what is not, home cooked Japanese food. But I am learning slowly and the Fuji Japanese Restaurant certainly looks the part.

What is without question is, that it is a small independent and family run business. Offering the sort of hospitality that is a rare find these days.

The exquisitely handwritten menu offers a limited selection of beef and prawn dishes.

That keep me going back time and again just to try something new.
