Thanks, this does work. Any idea why setVolume(_:fadeDuration:) won’t work normally here? If you start the volume at 1.0 and fade to 0.0 it works normally without needing the DispatchQueue call. Very strange that you need the DispatchQueue call just because you’re fading in the other direction.

Works great, but if you open a second view controller and then you back to the first (where you are capturing key events), the key events are fired twice. Any solution??

I am not exactly sure about capturing keys during launch (I imagine viewWillLoad or it’s equivalent might serve well enough).

Your code looks interesting but how do I detect the keydown for the ‘alt’ & ‘Cmd’ keys? What I am trying to do is when my app launches if those 2 keys are help down it boots into debug mode, is this possible. I am trying to replicate the ‘Repair’ option in Apples Photos.

This worked for me, except I had to add a condition to return nil as the event in case I handled it in my callbacks. Otherwise would get the macOS default “key not recognized” bell sound.

Sir, you are a god. I’ve been trying to get keystroke events working for days. Apple docs and StackOverflow are usually out of date, incomplete, or outright wrong, and trial and error coding is impossible when the storyboard and the viewController seem to be completely disconnected from each other. Agreed. I just got my free sample. And I am very confused why they saw a serving is 1xx calories… perhaps they should clarify you need 6 a day or so… Also the shaker is 600ml, but the packages say use 200ml water. Perhaps that’s just the samples though… tastes good! I’ve never done something like this, but it seemed like a healthy option when work lunches only offer you fried food…

well, maybe it would be better to have a separate object that would manage the communication. Activating the session whenever an interface controller appears doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.

I think that the level of battery has a lot to do with a sync with the atomic clock. My high charge jumped back down to medium after I turned the backlight on a few times. That night I did not receive a sync. Last night I charged (via Coolfire LED) even though I was already at high (probably at the lower end of that). I received a sync at 5:04 AM – the last attempt I think (they start at 12:05 AM if you have automatic turned on). I should get another tonight pending any serious storm clouds.

I can't vouch for this application as I didn't write it - but it did install and run for me. If you are a developer, you can use an open source project that I put on GitHub. STBonjour - this has an Apple Watch application that will install with it.

I’m glad you like it. To be honest I have not yet fired up Xcode 8. I just haven’t spent the time to install and kick the tires. I probably will later this summer – perhaps a beta update will fix things up. Have you filed a radar yet?

I have Versions and Cornerstone. I ran into a situation a while ago where some files locked when I updated – a fellow coder checked some stuff in and I updated the whole project. Some file got stuck updating and never finished.

I used Cornerstone to fix the problem – and I’ve been using it pretty much ever since then.
