Available for other platforms for a few months, WWE 2K25 is 2K and developer Visual Concepts’ latest and greatest in the long running WWE-flavored wrestling series. The newest installment of the title brings back and improves on much of what’s made the series a star, including its vaunted creation suite, catalog of match-types, deep control scheme, and sharp graphics. This year’s edition also ushered in a new era however, with The Island.

An open-world(ish) play space, The Island allows players to go online and take part in challenges for various rewards. The mode was exclusive to current generation consoles when the game first debuted, and didn’t make its way to the Xbox One, PS4, or (puzzlingly) the PC. We have to admit too, that we thought the Switch 2 edition would fall into that latter camp, but not so.

That’s right, The Island will be intact for the game’s upcoming Switch 2 drop, which is interesting indeed given that it was left out of the PC version. Strange? Yeah, we think so, but it’s also quite welcome for Switch 2 players who’d like to get a chance to be acknowledged.

WWE 2K25 includes an array of new features, and improvements on existing fan-favorites, including:

• 2K Showcase: The Bloodline’s Dynasty: The all-new 2K Showcase, hosted by the “Wise Man” Paul Heyman, celebrates one of the most iconic wrestling family dynasties – The Bloodline, and the Anoa’i, Fatu and Maivia families. Players are invited to relive, change, and create the history of The Bloodline through iconic historical moments. Relive key victories including Yokozuna vs. Hulk Hogan at King of the Ring ‘93, and Rocky Maivia vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley at RAW in ‘97. Change history and bring more glory to The Bloodline by avenging key losses such as Rikishi vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at No Mercy 2000, and the fateful Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins title match at Royal Rumble 2022. Create history with fantasy match-ups, including the Wild Samoans vs the Dudley Boyz. • The Island: An interactive world made up of four districts built around different WWE themes, Screen Rant noted, “The Island seems like a fresh and inventive new take.” Available only on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5® and Xbox Series X|S, The Island offers players the opportunity to explore and challenge other players while vying to earn a WWE contract by impressing “The Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. By completing quests, taking on challenges, competing in live events, earning unlockables, and upgrading and customizing MySUPERSTARS through multiple storyline chapters, The Island allows players to step outside the ropes and “Rule Beyond the Ring.” Check out the trailer here;
• A Roster for the Ages: WWE 2K25 brings an unparalleled lineup of current Superstars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, plus Legends and WWE Hall of Famers. The roster IGN called “absolutely stacked” features over 300 playable characters including Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan, Rey Mysterio, Bret “Hit Man” Hart, Jacob Fatu, Rob Van Dam, Naomi, Ethan Page, Lita, LA Knight, Chyna, Batista, Tiffany Stratton, Becky Lynch, and more. • New Match Types and Improvements on Gameplay: Intergender wrestling has arrived in WWE 2K25! WWE Superstars from the men’s and women’s divisions can now compete against each other to set up countless new matchups across most game modes. • MyGM with Online Multiplayer: In an experience Game Rant described as “more fun than ever,” intrepid GMs can take their show on the road and challenge general managers worldwide in the enhanced MyGM for WWE 2K25, now with online multiplayer for up to four players. Players draft WWE Superstars and Legends to their weekly show’s roster and lead their brand through multiple-week seasons with a bigger selection of General Managers, cross-brand Premium Live Events, and more;
• MyFACTION: The collectible card-battle mode is back with updated features, new content, and more ways to play. Faction Wars now features new node types and 50 new stages. World Tour replaces Proving Grounds, enabling players to travel to different locations and play in the order of their choosing, while additional match-type support for live events and online matches, and new community events offer enhanced replayability. New themed card packs, Persona Cards which unlock unique versions of Superstars usable in all game modes, and new challenges will continue to roll out regularly throughout the year with seasonal content refreshes*;

It seems like ages since we’ve gotten some downloadable content for 2K and Visual Concepts’ WWE 2K25. But have no fear, as the next in the series of post-launch packs is finally here, and if you’re a fan of the WWE’s newer talent, you’re going to want to check it out.

Included in the pack and leading the way are the Motor City Machine Guns. A veteran tag team that’s just recently made their way to the WWE, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin were fast stars, becoming tag team champs in no time. And even though they’ve since dropped those titles, they’ve become mainstays on the main roster.

If you’re more into women’s division action though, you’re also in luck, as two of the biggest global stars to be added to the NXT roster are included in today’s DLC drop as well. Both Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia are forces in the developmental brand, and ready to rock in WWE 2K25. Oh, and did we mention there’s a special celebrity guest star as well? He or she is still a mystery, so expect more on that down the line.

The New Wave Pack features four of the hottest names to join the WWE roster in recent history, all making their WWE 2K franchise debuts. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin comprise the Motor City Machine Guns, who quickly captured the WWE Tag Team Championships shortly after their WWE debut, and held an array of titles and accolades in other promotions, establishing themselves as one of the world’s foremost tag teams. Stephanie Vaquer is the current NXT Women’s Champion, former NXT Women’s North American Champion, and the only woman to hold both titles simultaneously. Giulia arrived in WWE to much fanfare, winning the 2024 Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge within a few months of her NXT debut, and going on to capture the NXT Women’s Championship. The New Wave Pack includes MyFACTION cards for each new Superstar, as well as a total of more than 40 moves and taunts. The pack is available for individual purchase, or as part of the WWE 2K25 Season Pass, which is also included in both The Bloodline Edition and Deadman Edition.

Along with the New Wave pack, fans can expect an update to MyFACTION, with the return of the Demastered card series. There’s also a new weapon with the Urn, though that will only be made available to players with the Deadman Edition Bonus Pack, Deadman Edition or The Bloodline Edition of the game.

While we’re on the wrestling subject too, chapter two of The Island is on the way, and if you’ve been enjoying the current-gen console exclusive mode, it sounds like it’s set to offer a packed followup.

Chapter 2 of The Island will also be arriving soon, offering 11 new quests, 44 new matches, new unlockable content including Xavier Woods’ alter ego Zero and the ghost of Paul Bearer, plus new branded gear in the shops, a continuation of The Island storyline, and more, exclusively available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Bring home all the action

So yeah, every fan more or less knows what to expect from a WWE 2K DLC plan by now. Typically season passes are stocked with a mixture of both Legends and modern Superstars, plus a few off-the-wall choices that fans may or may not be too excited about. Generally though, the series’ Season Passes tend to be solid. WWE 2K25‘s plan is no exception to any of that, but it’s the wrestlers that 2K and Visual Concepts has picked for the title that raised a few eyebrows here at BG.

First, the Saturday Night’s Main Event Pack looks like it’s just an all around terrific assembly for fans of the Federation. From Mr. Wonderful to JYD, it’s loaded, plus it even includes Sid Justice for the first time… ever? We’ve seen Sid in WWE games before, but we can’t remember a time where the wrestler’s “Sid Justice” persona was included.

If you want to get more 90s, The Attitude Era Superstars Pack includes an almost as great roster, with the New Age Outlaws, D’Lo Brown, Mark Henry, and even Victoria. Plus spread out across the remainder of the packs are the likes of ECW legend New Jack, the monster Abyss, Bull Nakano, and brand new WWE roster members Jordynne Grace, Penta, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and the Motor City Machine Gun. Pretty killer overall.

That’s of course not the only way to get in on the action, as fans can opt for either the Deadman Edition or the Bloodline Edition of the title as well. Both of those premium versions will include both the game and the Season Pass, so no separate purchase is necessary.

Those two versions of will also get you playing a little early, as they open up for use in just two days, on March 7th. The standard, alternatively, will be available on March 14th.

And now for something completely different. Okay, well maybe not completely different, but the Showcase mode in this year’s WWE title from 2K Games and Visual Concepts is indeed something that we haven’t really seen before in the series.

Instead of just featuring a series of matches that center on one WWE Superstar, The Bloodline Dynasty I’ll work as a kind of “interactive documentary” about the faction. Actually, even better, it’s more about the Anoa’i family in general, with Rikishi, Yokozuna, and others all factoring in.

And while you’ll be able to play out some of these matches as they took place, you’ll also be tasked with either changing what happened, or making something altogether new in others. So if you’d like to see ‘Kishi Banzai Drop onto Stone Cold, this one’s for you. While we’re talking about changes too, one other kind of major thing is different this Showcase as well, and it’s the cinematics.

In a surprise move, developer Visual Concepts says that it’s taken fan requests to heart, and has done away with live action. So when you’re playing through the mode’s bouts, you’ll see in-game animations telling the story instead of awkward back and forth from actual video.

Players are invited to Relive History through iconic moments including Yokozuna vs. Hulk Hogan at King of the Ring ‘93, and Rocky Maivia vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley at RAW in ‘97. Heyman continues by introducing a twist: Players will have the chance to Change History and bring more glory to The Bloodline, avenging key losses such as Rikishi vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at No Mercy 2000, and the fateful Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins title match at Royal Rumble 2022. The trailer concludes by offering a glimpse at dream matches introduced in this year’s 2K Showcase, giving players the opportunity to Create History and experience some of the greatest fantasy matches that never were.

Returning for WWE 2K25 in response to community demand, all Showcase cutscenes now feature in-game cinematics footage, rather than historical live-action footage.

That’s the summary of what you’ll be engaging with in WWE 2K25‘s Showcase, but 2K has also revealed the full card for two of its modes, and part of the third. As mentioned, there are three categories, with “Relive History”, “Change History”, and “Create History”, and all three are loaded with superstars of yesterday and today.

Well, it’s not actually our island, that honor belongs to the Tribal Chief himself, Roman Reigns’. As we mentioned above, WWE 2K25 is welcoming in a wholly new gameplay experience with The Island, an online and open-world(ish) map that’ll be exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the title. There, up to 50 players at once can take part in a story mode and engage in what looks to be some new customization options.

We’re still little fuzzy on just what’ll be happening with the latter, especially as goes the all-important creation suite, but it’d be tough to say that The Island isn’t (at the very least) an interesting addition to the WWE 2K lineup. And as you’ll hear from longtime wrestling personality Paul Heyman in the video below, it’s also sounding like it’s just a first step.

In total, WWE 2K25’s The Island will present players with four locations, focusing on different elements of the WWE Universe. They are:

• Hero HQ is a bright bastion of all that is good, honoring the “good guys” of WWE. This district is constantly under attack by WWE villains, who seek to gain power on The Island;
• The Arcade of Tomorrow is a technological haven that shines as a fusion of tradition and innovation, with a pop-culture flair;
• The Temple of the Ancestors stands as a colossal testament to power and reverence to the importance of Lucha culture;
• The Deadlands is a portal to the supernatural, featuring a spooky graveyard and cathedral.

But locales are just the start

Some interesting stuff there for sure, though remember it’s far from all. The shops will be available as well, but the whole mode sounds more like a game unto itself than anything else. According to 2K, The Island will feature the MySUPERSTAR Builder, which allows for fans to craft a wrestling identity.

Seemingly a completely different thing than the tried and true creation suite, The Island sounds more like a WWE RPG-lite experience.

Players will be able to customize their MySUPERSTARs in The Island with MySUPERSTAR Builder, where players can craft their identity. There are many extensive customization options that impact not only the look of a MySUPERSTAR, but their in-ring ability as well. Every choice shapes a MySUPERSTAR’s build, including minimum/maximum Attributes, availability of Badges, and Payback access. With up to four MySUPERSTAR builds available, players can experiment with different options.

In The Island, progression is key. By completing quests, challenges, upcoming live events, and matches, players will earn XP and VC that can be used to increase MySUPERSTAR attributes, unlock badges, and customize their appearance. Winning PvP matches will earn rank points that move a player up in the rankings, while losing a match will also result in a loss of Rank Points.

A whole new tale

With all of that said, don’t assume that The Island is one-dimensional. The curent-gen-only mode will have an over-arching story in addition to customization and PvP matches, and that’ll be driven by the quests that we mentioned above. In those, players will have to complete a series of tasks, working their way through a narrative that’s apparently headlined by “Roman’s challenge”.

Chapter one of the tale will be included with the game at launch, with four expansions arriving some time later. And yes, those will be free of charge.

The story in The Island is driven by quests, with WWE Superstar quest-givers scattered throughout the overworld and inside landmarks. Speaking to Superstars in each district or the overworld will start quests, which can be tracked through the quest menu. Types of quests range from competing in matches, engaging NPCs or Superstars, and exploration. Players will progress through five playable chapters, each one revealing more about Roman’s challenge and The Island itself. Chapter 1 of the single-player story is available at launch with 4 additional chapters coming post-launch at no additional cost.

So what do you think? Sold on The Island? We’re a little apprehensive honestly, if for nothing else than the question marks that surround wrestler creation (for other modes). But as long as those remain intact, then this new addition is plenty interesting, as is the promise that it might hold for future iterations of the series.

WWE 2K25 lands on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 14th, with the premium Deadman and Bloodline Editions coming down the aisle ahead of that, on the 7th. Just remember, if you want to get into The Island, that new experience is exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. You won’t be able to play it on a last-gen console, or on the PC.

The Big Dog is back, and once again gracing the cover of gaming’s premier wrestling series, as Roman Reigns will be on the standard cover of WWE 2K25. That’s not all though, as the Tribal Chief will be on the top shelf edition of the game as well, where he’ll feature with The Bloodline. But wait, as there’s a third option as well, and it stars the Deadman himself, The Undertaker.

“I am personally and professionally excited that the Original and Only Tribal Chief and the extended Anoa’i family are the focus of WWE 2K25,” said Roman Reigns. “We’ve been building toward this moment for generations and I challenge players everywhere to show me and my Wiseman, Paul Heyman, what they’ve got, and prove they’re worthy of the attention of their Tribal Chief.”

We’ll get to all of that in a minute, as there’s a ton to talk about as goes WWE 2K25. And while much of what you’re about to read through be familiar if you’re a long time series fan, there are also some new additions for 2025, one of which you might not have seen coming.

WWE 2K25 officially launches on March 14th, 2025, with the Deadman and Bloodline editions granting purchasers a seven day early access period.

The Bloodline rules

As you might’ve guessed from the above, The Bloodline is the overall focus of WWE 2K25. Roman Reigns’ faction with be the biggest star of both the game’s 2K Showcase and a new mode called The Island. What kind of sounds like an open-world(ish) experience, The Island will allow players to explore a “series of areas built around different WWE themes”.

There they’ll get to partake in quests, challenges, and live events, plus take on other players in an effort to battle for an in-game “WWE contract”. Additionally, the mode will also allow for both the upgrading and customizing of MySUPERSTARS, as players make their way through “multiple storyline chapters”, according to 2K.

Those who prefer Solo Sikoa’s version of The Bloodline shouldn’t be too disappointed though, as it’ll be included on more than a cover. The sub-faction will play a part in the Showcase, which is officially subtitled The Bloodline’s Dynasty. Even better, fans will find what sounds like it might be a pretty complete Anoa’i family tree present, even including Yokozuna.

The showcase of the immortals

If you like the history of the WWE, and wrestling in general, you’re probably going to love what’s happening with WWE 2K25‘s roster. The collection of superstars and legends is set to be massive, clocking in at over 300 grapplers and including the likes of John Cena, Rhea Ripley, The Rock, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, CM Punk, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Jade Cargill, Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T, Ultimate Warrior, Trish Stratus, Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan, Rey Mysterio, Bret “Hitman” Hart, Jacob Fatu, Rob Van Dam, Lita, LA Knight, Chyna, Batista, Nia Jax, and Becky Lynch, all of which have already been confirmed.

Players will be able to field their favorite heroes and villains of sports entertainment in the usual wide variety of matches too, and even in inter-gender action. WWE 2K25 will be the first time since Smackdown vs Raw 2009 that we’ve seen option. It’s also not the only element that’s returning, as chain wrestling is back as well this year, plus there’ll be a few more special match-types like the Bloodline Rules Match and the Underground Match.

This will all be arriving along with MyGM’s online multiplayer, plus the MyFACTION, MyRISE, and Universe modes.

Break it down:

• A Roster for the Ages: WWE 2K25 brings an unparalleled lineup of current Superstars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, plus Legends and WWE Hall of Famers. Get creative

What would a modern wrestling game be without a robust creation suite? Well, we could actually name a few titles, but we won’t get into it. Instead, we’ll focus on what WWE 2K25 will be bringing to the table… and we’ve got one big question when it comes to that.

For its part, 2K Games didn’t get too deep into creation just yet, but did actually name “Superstars, GMs, referees, arenas, entrances, move sets, championships, crowd signs, and more” as all being included in the suite. That’s awesome, as the above is all stuff that fans will have expected to see. However, we don’t see a mention of Community Creations anywhere in the press release.

We’re hoping that was just an oversight when it comes to this first dive into what the game will offer up, so we’ll definitely be staying tuned for a more detailed look at what creations will include, when it comes to WWE 2K25.

Choose your version

Along with the first detailing of the game itself, 2K has also unleashed a complete look at the trio of versions that’ll be hitting. As mentioned above, the game will be offered as standard, Deadman, and Bloodline Edition formats.

While the standard is exactly what you’d think, with The Deadman Edition will be going deep on ‘Taker-specific bonuses. The Bloodline Edition will be doing the same, but with the dominant WWE faction(s) taking the spotlight instead of Undertaker.

All three of those versions will come with a pre-order bonus as well, in the form of the Wyatt Sicks Pack, which’ll include Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan for all platforms. In what we think might be a first too, the pre-order bonuses and special editions of the game include some items that are exclusive to “Gen 9” platforms.

So take a look though, and see which one strikes your fancy.

Where the big boys play

So as mentioned, this new pack isn’t totally and completely what its name makes it out to be. Dubbed the WCW Pack, the latest DLC drop for WWE 2K24 is made up of classic World Championship Wrestling stars… but technically not completely. We know that sounds weird, but it won’t in a second.

We’re referring to the fact that the WCW Pack includes DDP, The Great Muta, Lex Luger, and… Mr.Perfect. No, not Curt Hennig, Mr.Perfect. That’s kind of an odd choice since the Mr.P character was Curt Hennig’s WWF/WWE persona, and he went by his real name while in WCW. Still, we’re not going to complain in the least, since his run in the Federation was miles better than his dub-see-dub one.

Also, he looks freaking great hitting Perfect-plexes here in this launch trailer.

Among the most beloved WCW stars, Diamond Dallas Page is a three-time World Heavyweight Champion, two-time United States Champion, and four-time World Tag Team champion, among many other in-ring accolades. He’s also a WWE Hall of Famer, accomplished film actor, and founder of the celebrated DDP Yoga program. His signature Diamond Cutter finishing move, “Bang!” taunt, and larger-than-life personality transcend sports entertainment.

Perhaps equally known for his time in WWE and WCW, Mr. Perfect presented himself as the ultimate athlete, capable of nailing impressive athletic feats on the first try, and dazzling audiences with his incredible grappling technique and devastating Perfect Plex finishing move. In WWE, he held an undefeated streak for more than a year, captured the Intercontinental Championship twice, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame. In WCW, he held the United States Championship and World Tag Team Championship, famously betrayed the Four Horsemen, and was a key member of the nWo and West Texas Rednecks stables.

One of the first Japanese professional wrestlers to gain global appeal, The Great Muta presented a frightening and charismatic persona, often wearing elaborate costumes, face paint or a mask, spitting “green mist” into the eyes of opponents, and revolutionizing an array of unique and lightning fast in-ring maneuvers such as the moonsault and shining wizard. A WWE Hall of Famer, The Great Muta is a former WCW World Television Champion and battled the likes of Lex Luger, Vader, and “Stunning” Steve Austin before he introduced his “Stone Cold” persona.

Known as “The Total Package” and “The Narcissist,” Lex Luger boasted one of the most impressive physiques in sports entertainment. A former two-time World Heavyweight Champion, two-time World Television Champion, Royal Rumble winner, and Slammy Award winner, Luger rose to fame in WCW with his devastating Torture Rack submission hold and feuds with the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Great Muta and The Outsiders, as well as joining the nWo Wolfpac stable. He also made a name for himself in WWE by body slamming the massive Yokozuna on the deck of a US Navy aircraft carrier and incapacitating opponents by striking them with a metal plate embedded in his forearm.

MyFACTION and more

Along with the meat and potatoes above, the WCW Pack also includes the MyFACTION cards for all of the collection’s wrestlers. That’s in addition to 55 new moves and taunts for those who like to dig into the game’s creation suite and the WCW Fall Brawl WarGames Arena, which was a surprise inclusion.

There’s more WCW fun to be had in MyFACTION too, with the arrival of the nWo Wolfpac. The legendary faction has a set of new Persona Cards landing, joined by a fresh Locker Code that seems decidedly not WCW-related.

Also new to WWE 2K24’s MyFACTION game mode for all players is the nWo Wolfpac card series, available November 15 and including Persona cards for Lex Luger, Hollywood Hogan, Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner, Mr. Perfect and Macho Man Randy Savage. Locker code “WARGAMES” will award a deluxe Singlet Supreme II pack, a Liv Morgan Galaxy Opal free agent card, and 15,000 VC.***

Fans can get in on the action today, as the WCW Pack is out right now to be added onto your base copy of WWE 2K24. If you don’t have the game just yet though, hang on, because you’ll find that there are some sharp digital sales about to kick off.

Xbox players will find the WWE 2K24 Standard Edition on sale for 67% off, and the mighty Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition marked down 50%, from November 14th through December 3rd. Meanwhile, PlayStation players will be getting in on those same deals, but from November 22nd thorough December 2nd. Playing on a PC? Of course, we’re being facetious with that sub-heading, since the Pat McAfee Show Pack* for 2K’s WWE 2K24 wasn’t the greatest in terms of fan-reception. Announced along with the full collection of DLC packs for the recently released wrestling game, the Pat McAfee Show Pack was pretty easily the most derided, since it doesn’t actually contain any… wrestlers.

Yeah, yeah, we know that McAfee has wrestled, but you get the drift as the Pat McAfee Show Pack serves up “Super Bowl Champion AJ Hawk, nine-year NFL cornerback Darius Butler, the legendary Ty Schmit, and the man with the power mullet, “Boston” Connor”. But just keep in mind, that while you might not be overly into the characters included, there’s more to the pack than them.

Also packed in are “over 15 new moves and taunts into the game”, that players can use while making their own custom superstars, in the game’s creation suite.

Joining McAfee in the Pat McAfee Show Pack is the cast of DAWGS, including former 11-year NFL veteran and Super Bowl Champion AJ Hawk, nine-year NFL cornerback Darius Butler, the legendary Ty Schmit, and the man with the power mullet, “Boston” Connor. Each playable character also comes with their own MyFACTION card, and they collectively bring over 15 new moves and taunts into the game, which can also be used for custom Superstars in the creation suite. So again, yes, Post Malone is in this new DLC pack for WWE 2K24. He’s actually the highlighted ‘wrestler’ as the pack is actually titled The Post Malone & Friends Pack. If you’re not a fan though, we ask that you look past his inclusion, because the rest of the collection is pure Golden/Attitude Era.

How’s that? Well, loaded in is the Sensational One herself, Sherri Martel, plus The Headbangers, and the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time (debatable) The Honkey Tonk Man. You even get his manager, the Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart. Is it us, or is that a lot of love for ol’ Wayne?

Joining Post Malone in the Post Malone & Friends Pack are an array of Legends with music connections, including Sensational Sherri, The Headbangers, The Honky Tonk Man, and Manager Jimmy Hart. WWE Hall of Famer Sensational Sherri, a former WWE Women’s Champion, was perhaps best known as the villainous manager of “Macho Man” Randy Savage, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, and “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, even providing vocals for the original version of his entrance theme, “Sexy Boy.”  The heavy metal-themed tag team duo of Mosh and Thrasher, collectively known as The Headbangers, brought their dance moves and attitudes straight from the mosh pit and into the late 90s WWE ring, capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship, while Thrasher also held the WWE Hardcore Championship. Finally, The Honky Tonk Man brings his swiveling hips and sideburns to the WWE 2K24 ring, accompanied by Manager “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart, whose signature megaphone will also be available as a usable foreign object. Boasting the second-longest WWE Intercontinental Championship reign in history at 454 days, The Honky Tonk Man was a force to be reckoned with Hart in his corner, always ready to distract referees and opponents. These Superstars bring 45 new moves and taunts into the game, which can also be used for custom Superstars in the creation suite. Each playable Superstar and Post Malone also comes with their own MyFACTION card. The Post Malone & Friends Pack is available for individual purchase, or as part of Season Pass, which is included in the Deluxe Edition, and Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition of WWE 2K24. More in store

Aside from the Post Malone & Friends Pack, this month will also see what sounds like a pretty awesome addition to the MyFACTION game mode. Coming to MyFACTION will be a “Demastered Series” of Persona Cards, which will unlock playable superstars across all the game’s modes. What’s so special about this particular set of cards though, is that the wrestlers will all be “designed to resemble character models from previous video game console generations”. On the slate are “Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Xavier Woods, Raquel Rodriguez and more”.

New live events this month (for MyFACTION) will bring a Greg Miller ’24 Manager card, and a Money in the Bank MyFACTION collection. Speaking of MitB, fans might want to make use of the locker code “MITBBRIEFCASE“, which will unlock cards of cards of Bayley and Austin Theory, and a Free Agent Card. Just make sure you use that code before July 13th (at 9pm pacific time), as it’ll go inert after that.

Oh, and obviously make sure you have a copy of the base game and a 2K Account before you redeem that code. But you knew that already.

Hell has frozen over

Yes, CM Punk technically headlines the new ECW Punk Pack DLC for WWE 2K24, but there’s a heck of a lot more to it than just the modern star. Packed in right along with him are some of the greatest ECW superstars of all time, including The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von), the Sandman, Terry Funk, and Paul Heyman as a Manager card (for MyFACTION).

While all of those guys are probably best known for their ECW runs, they’re all massive stars otherwise as well. Appearances for the Dudleys include the WWE of course, and both Funk and Sandman have appeared as a part of multiple brands.

So if you’ve been patiently waiting for a hefty dose of new stars for your copy of WWE 2K24, then you might want to grab a download.

Joining CM Punk in the ECW Punk Pack are WWE Hall of Fame tag team The Dudley Boyz, Sandman, Terry Funk, and an ECW Paul Heyman Manager MyFACTION card. Recognized as the most decorated tag team in WWE history with 18 combined World Tag Team Championship reigns across WWE, ECW, and WCW titles, Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley, the Dudley Boyz are among the toughest brawlers to ever step foot in the squared circle. Often known as the “Hardcore Icon,” The Sandman is a five-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion and former ECW World Tag Team Champion, notorious for unleashing chaos in and out of the ring with his signature kendo stick. Along with all of the above too, fans will find “new weapons, including a barbed wire baseball bat, light tube, and wooden door”. Not enough extreme for you? All you can also look for locker code ECWCHAMPS to be active from May 15th through the 31st, which will grant access to cards for Bobby Lashley, Rob Van Dam, and Kane. We’re not sure how the bookended superstars fit into the theme, but you can’t get to much more E-C-Dub than R-V-D.

Also coming this month

Fans looking for even more to add to their WWE 2K24 experiences will find the Punches and Promos pack landing this month too. For use in MyFACTION mode, Punches and Promos will bring the gem class tier Amethyst, plus cards of Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and a Persona Card of “The Final Boss” version of The Rock. That last one will be usable in all modes of play, once unlocked.

Speaking of, a Persona Card of Roman Reigns with his man-bun will “also be available as an earnable Live Event reward”. So if you wanted to, you could go after both Bloodline headliners and create one of the most current versions of the stable.

There’s one more too, as another Live Event will deliver a Mattel “Ichiban” Hulk Hogan. This is exactly what it sounds like, dropping another one of the popular ‘action figure’ superstar variants to add to your roster. So watch for all of that as well, as we roll through the rest of the month.
