As a creature of the night, and by her navigational devices, we see the moth is highly influenced by the power of the moon. This aspect ties in with animal symbolism of intuition, and psychic awareness. A master of disguise, the moth can blend in to the point of invisibility. This is a metaphor for us to use our environment to our advantage, blend in when necessary, adjust and adapt when the situation requires it. Symbolic Moth Meanings: Faith, Attract, Subtlety, Intuition, Concealment, Vulnerability, Determination
All of these qualities resonate with me, especially realizing since I was young, I have been a Chameleon. I can blend in to the point of invisibility, and adapt & adjust when the situation requires it. It’s so amazing to discover parts of myself that have been in plain sight yet I haven’t really recognized until now; until creating a collages (in a leadership program) and really looking in. The intuition and determination and faith meanings most definitely resonate with me as well.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines clutter as “a crowded or confused mass or collection.” But the truth is, clutter holds different shapes and meanings for all of us.
To a staunch minimalist, clutter could be something as modest as an unworn T-shirt. To frenzied parents, on the other hand, it’s often the ongoing battle of corralling toys into a box. Or maybe it comes down to a literal mess that needs to be cleaned.
And it’s worth noting that Americans keep an average of at least 50 unused items in our homes.
Is all that buildup just an eyesore? Minutiae we trip over on our way to the kitchen? Or is it actually inconveniencing us in more profound ways?
A number of studies suggest the latter. And the following infographic from MakeSpace (they offer valet storage in NYC, DC, Chicago, and LA) examines exactly that. The visual combines scientific findings with original research to shed light on the various implications of living with clutter.
Have a look for yourself:
Just as there’s more than one type of clutter, there are also infinite ways to approach it.
You could hold a packing party, or break it down into daily segments. Find it difficult to decide what to toss?
Nourishing Minimalism recommends starting in an easy room like the kitchen, since utilitarian items are easier to shed. You might also consider hiring a professional organizer to help you navigate the process.
Regardless of what your clutter looks like, make sure to address it – before it defines you.

Perfection… what is this word.
Merriam-Webster’s Learner’s Dictionary defines the word as:
: the state or condition of being perfect
: the act of making something perfect or better : the act of perfecting something
: something that cannot be improved : something that is perfect
Simple Definition of perfect is:
: having no mistakes or flaws
: completely correct or accurate
: having all the qualities you want in that kind of person, situation, etc.
A Perfectionist. That is who I am. I don’t like to suck/fail/be bad at something. So I let perfectionism be another form of procrastination.

Project Share Day 40: I’m still here…
It might seem that I’ve been hiding and that would be truthful to some degree. I’m also busy in the NOW. Life happens in the now, moment to moment. I am having amazing conversations with people in my life (old, new, and everyone in between). I’m experiencing being vulnerable, fun, an aliveness that keeps me curious. I’m speaking my mind and enjoying all my conversations. I am comfortable in my own skin like never before.
It’s not that I haven’t been faced with “overwhelm” or upsets, I’m handling them as they show up. I’m having conversations with friends when something comes up I don’t know how to handle. I’m sharing my life with everyone I meet. It’s been a great and freeing experience. I’m powerful in my language and thoughts.
What I want you to know about me is that I am kind, curious, loving, and a stand for those I meet. I am a force to be reckoned with and I have hope for humanity

]]>I am an artists’ muse. I love being photographed & posing for photographers, painters, sculptors, etc. There’s something about the stillness and the contribution I can be for others art. I also love being a clearing for writer’s block, and creating space for those who are stuck and need clarity.
I was asked to be in a live art show, and immediately said yes, and I have no clue what I got myself into and I’m really excited and nervous to see what it’s all about. It’s about fun and excitement and the unknown. Show up and be ready for anything. Surrender to the joy and space of another.

Project Share Day 38: one of my favorite humans
My Aunt Carol has been missed. She left this world 2002 to start a new journey. She is loved by all who met her. As a family it was my brother and I and my cousins Rachel and Stephen. We grew up together as a 4-some much of the time. Thanksgiving is always at the Kest house
It was nice to see my Mom spend time with her sister. Their growth as adults, as women, mothers, and wives are interwoven. They are each other’s support and best friend. I’ve always been envious of their sisterly bond. Sister #3 lives in Florida and although not physically close, isn’t far from their thoughts.
Here are just some photos of Aunt Carol

]]>I am super proud of my family, my whole family, especially my cousins. I am not as close to my cousins as I would like. This is an area of my life I’m committed to discovering and creating new relationships.
From my perspective my cousins live rich lives, they’re married, have kids, houses, and are busy people. They manage a household and schedules and multitasking their lives. My brother and I are single. And I’m only going to speak for myself when I say, sometimes I am envious of your lives and then sometimes I’m super happy I’m single I live in New York City.
I miss you, we spent more time together when we were younger. I had a great time! This new year, I am committed that we speak more often and reconnect to who we are now as adults. Rachel Stephen Matthew Leah Jessica Bonnie (and your spouses: Tali Jennifer Steven Michael David) L’Shana Tova
On another note: I have often been asked the question, “when are you going to get married?” Or “don’t you want to get married”, or “you’re getting too old to have kids”. And my answer is “I’m not too old for kids”. I’ve not met my special someone yet. And I’m not too freaking old. I know my parents will be amazing grandparents. At times I feel sad they don’t have the opportunity to do that right now. And yeah I know it’s not in the cards right now… And it gives us all a certain freedom.
Tonight, my parents and I had an fabulous dinner (sushi of course). We then spent time playing cards together and laughing hysterically the whole night. We spent the day in amazing conversation just exploring who we all are as individuals and I don’t take that for granted. I really can be my true self expressed human. And it’s wonderful to be that way with two of the most important people in my life. Communication really is the key to the kingdom. And the strength of all relationships.
My promise is to always be self expressed, communicate where it needs to be clear, and reach out to my family and let you know that I love you. I will be married and I will have children and you will all be invited to celebrate with me.
As I wrote this post I had my first cousins in mind, however as I reading I’m also thinking of my extended cousins who I have been in communication with and also want to strengthen our relationship. xxoo Eve Andrew Jonathan Steven Scott Jordan Susan Aren Kit

Tonight my friend registered himself into the Landmark Forum. What he created is courage. I am excited for his discovery of self and transformation. I created the possibility of being free, unleashed, and powerful (especially regarding my finances). It was a lovely evening, filled with great conversation and wonderful friends.
While on my way home I met Ty on the 1-train. He’s a kickboxing coach and competitor and looking into MMA. We had a great conversation about what he’s doing in his life and what he wants to do. I’ve always wanted to explore kickboxing…
Then at 96th Street, the 1-train changed over to express as there was a sick passenger; so, I chose to walk home. I met Kate on the platform and we walked together. She’s amazing. She just arrived in NYC for a job from Portugal. She knows no one in NYC. I said, “now you know me” and gave her my card. I understand moving to a foreign city and not really knowing anyone (I lived in London for a semester in college). What an adventure!
Tonight was not only about others transformation, it was also about my own. Getting out of my own way to have amazing conversations with everyone I met tonight (including Marjorie, who has the night shift in my building). I super adore her.
The possibility of being free, unleashed, and powerful in all areas of my life is what I’m declaring. What’s your possibility?

My favorite cuisine is Japanese. It’s not a secret, I could live off Japanese food for life. It’s fresh, clean, beautiful presentation, tiny bites, and the least amount of garlic at a meal. And now they have gluten-free soy sauce, so I’m good…
And I love sake! It’s my truth serum. I say pretty much everything and anything, lol.
In LA, my favorite restaurant is Minori (located at Pico & Robertson Blvds). Arturo Everitt introduces Scott Quinn who introduces me to the space. It’s my Cheers… I see “regulars” every time, including Ms Anita Brown.
For almost a year, Tuesday night is my night. I’m in the restaurant at the sushi bar by 8:05p. I sit down, 2 sushi pieces of the most amazing yellowtail are place in front of me and a tall glass of water with lemon and a straw. domo arigatou gozaimasu – “My” sushi chef Shigeru Usuki is teaching my how to speak Japanese and creating dishes from scratch (not on the menu). They are beautiful and delicious!!!
Some nights, I’m alone reading a book, and some nights I’m bringing others with me to experience my spot. I celebrate my birthday 6 years straight; A few friends and fun over sushi.
In 2005, I left LA and didn’t return till the year later (for Halloween, of course). Entering the restaurant after a year away, it was as if I never left. The staff great me as it was just another day. They remember me and what like to order. It was my spot for 7 continuous years. It’s special.
In NYC, I have 2 spots I frequent. I would love to take you there, let me know when And if you have a favorite sushi spot, let me know! arigatou
