And then they hit the ‘Refresh’ button to fully pull up the pay check. It is some sort of conflict with Adobe and the browser, but this work around seems to do the trick.

The other common issue is the one you cited with pop-up blockers. Sometimes toolbars like Google or Yahoo also have pop-up blockers that impact users ability to pull up pay advices.

Comment on 11/20/09 – New Time Reporting Policy for Salaried Employees by Richard Conley

The system just requires you to account for all scheduled hours in a day. Once you enter partial time on one day, you need to account for the full day.

Thanks!

Comment on 10/2/09 – Update on HR Direct Self-Service by Rich

Fri, 30 Oct 2009 14:52:27 +0000http://blogs.uml.edu/hrdirect/2009/10/02/update_on_hr_direct_self-service/#comment-14The best practice is to use your full UML email address as this reduces chances of errors.
Also, it is important to use your actual email name versus any alias account. Example would be someone like G.Gordon Liddy whose real name is George Gordon Liddy — his official UML issueed email would be George_Liddy@uml.edu, but he may have an alias of Gordon_Liddy@uml.edu. He should use the George_Liddy@uml.edu account to login to HR Direct.

Comment on Updates from First Payroll by Richard Conley

Sat, 20 Jun 2009 14:12:12 +0000http://blogs.uml.edu/hrdirect/2009/05/15/updates_from_first_payroll/#comment-12There are links to our training from the main HR Direct web page (http://www.uml.edu/hrdirect ), but you can also see our web-based-training for employee self-service at http://upk.umassp.edu/HCM_90/HCM_Campus_Training/Employee_Self_Service/toc.html
Also, we have no current plans to stop printing pay advices. With employee self-service you can access a copy of your pay advice and you can also print from there.
