You made a great point about placing the DJ in close proximity to the dance floor so that he or she can get a good feel of how everyone is feeling and engage with them. My niece is getting married in the spring and is looking to hire a DJ for her dream dance party at her reception. When it gets closer, I will be sure to remember to recommend having the DJ in a good spot so that it can all go nicely.

I did not realize that there were so many advantages to hiring a DJ over a band. I agree that it would be good to be able to hear a variety of different songs and genres rather than just one type and style of music. Also, with a DJ you would be able to pick out a playlist of songs that you would like to hear so that the wedding is even more customized to you and your family.

A friend of mine is getting ready to plan her wedding, but wasn’t sure what she was going to do about lighting. It’s interesting that you say to pick a color palette and use colors from that! It would be nice to see that everything is fitting together.

I’ve never really thought about the importance of lighting for a special event before! I also appreciate what you said about LED lighting in a special event. I’ve heard that special event lighting is can be quite expensive, I’ll have to look more into it!
