If you want to keep people away from areas of your worksheet and just focus on a specific area – or you want to just keep a spreadsheet looking tidier – you can hide all rows and columns outside your designated area.

Quick Calendar GoTo Date
The next time you’re in your calendar view and want to access a future (or past) date really quickly – use [CTRL] G (for Go to) followed by a whole slew of options. [CTRL] G opens the GO TO DATE window – and the current date is highlighted. You could use the q beside the date to scroll to the desired date…BUT…try these little beauties instead:
[CTRL] G (to open the GO TO DATE window) – then type two weeks from tomorrow – and press [ENTER]
or
[CTRL] G – then type the first of next month – and press [ENTER]
or
[CTRL] G – then type Christmas – and press [ENTER]
or
[CTRL] G – then type May – and press [ENTER]
or
[CTRL] G – then type next Saturday – and press [ENTER]
Quick Sticky Notes
Want to remember something before you go to that meeting or take that call?
In any Outlook view (email, calendar, whatever…) press [CTRL][SHFT]N – to create a new sticky note.
Type in the note space.
Drag it (by the titlebar) to any position on your screen. There you go. When you close Outlook, the note will disappear too. You can always see it if you go to Outlook’s NOTES view.
You can add it to your desktop if you drag the note icon (from the Notes view) onto your Desktop.

I share files with my instructors. And my husband. And my sister. And some clients. But over the years, I forget which files I’ve given permissions for. How do I remind myself?

OneDrive for Business users really should perform this little bit of housekeeping from time to time. I have shocked myself when I saw how many older files I forgot to stop sharing with people.

As an alternative to sending out a meeting request, you can add an iCalendar attachment or link to an iCalendar file to an email message – so that when the recipient either opens the attachment or click on the link, the event can be added to their calendar.

As an alternative to sending out a meeting request, you can add an iCalendar attachment or link to an iCalendar file to an email message – so that when the recipient either opens the attachment or click on the link, the event can be added to their calendar.
Maybe you’re offering a guest speaker and it’s not important to you who attends, just that people know they may attend if they want to. And you’d like to offer them the convenience of being able to easily place the event into their Outlook calendar.
Just remember, unlike when you invite others via a meeting request – if you send out these iCalendar attachments or links, you will not receive any confirmations when people accept or decline the event.

Did you know that if you select part of a formula (up in the formulas bar) and press the [F9] key – the actual value of that cell (instead of just it’s address) will appear.

Scenario: You’re giving a PowerPoint presentation to a group and an email notification – which displays the Subject of the email – pops up in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen for all to see. (Note: I once had a smug colleague (knowing that I was giving a presentation) teach me a lesson by sending me an email with the subject “Your probation officer called”.

Or maybe you’re trying to get some serious work done and the constant barrage of notifications is interruptive.
You can solve this issue with the Windows 10 Focus Assist feature. It enables you to control how and when Windows notifies you of newly received email, messages, phone calls and alarms.
