SodaStream also lies about the $14 they charge for each cylinder as a “deposit”.

A deposit is something you can get back, but you cannot ever get that money back.

So they lie.

I was thinking about LAUNCHCast today because I hate the shuffle algorithms of the streaming services today. And to pirate/buy/streamrip the tracks so I can have FLACs which then I could use software like Gammadyne’s DJ Jukebox to assign ratings to each song, tell it how often to play a given track/artist, etc…. is just too much work anymore. It was so easy to find music by clicking through Launchcast. And the major reason why the service closed – due to the rights fees the labels and publishers wanted to charge – well with today’s anything at anytime on demand world, why couldn’t we have this back again or something similar.
