This project comprised the redevelopment of an existing iconic telecommunications building in the heart of Manchester City Centre.

The facility is Manchester’s largest 4 star hotel and comprises 338 bedrooms arranged over 8 floors together with state of the art conferencing facilities, function rooms, an indulgent urban spar and first class bar and live theatre restaurant.

Bingham Hall Partnership Limited were commissioned by Rightacres Property Developments to provide the consulting civil and structural engineering services for one of the biggest office schemes ever seen in the Valleys.

The scheme provides a 133,000 square foot regional hub for the Department of Work and Pensions and will house 1,700 staff from offices in and around South East Wales.

This project provides commercial office space together with retail space at ground floor that will utilise and reconfigure the existing five-story building. Within the reception space are lounge, plant, and storage areas together with lift access to the upper floors which house workspace areas in an open-plan arrangement.

Whilst shipping containers have become synonymous with the modern-day docks, they have also been successfully used within buildings. The building aspires to provide an unregimented, dynamic and vibrant working environment.

The use of cantilevering colored shipping container pods provides the device to achieve this whilst acknowledging Newport Docks.

As part of the extensive refurbishment programme of the force’s headquarters in Bridgend, there was significant space available for the further redevelopment of the site.

A decision was made to invest in a purpose-built facility to house all the teaching requirements within one building.

The facility will provide a permanent base for learning and development services, human resources and the police and crime commissioner.

Specially built on the brownfield site of the old Cambrian Centre for Admiral Insurance, the building comprises a six storey 80,800 square foot office block located on Queensway, directly opposite Newport railway station. More than 450 staff are based in the office.

The building has a central atrium with a striking staircase between floors which ensures daylight is supplied to inside and outdoor walls reducing energy usage through lighting. The development also includes a plaza with 4 A3 units and a basement car parking facility.

The development achieved a BREEAM excellent rating.

This project, located in the heart of Newport City Centre, comprised the refurbishment of the city’s tallest 53.3 metre high building into a 150 bed 4 star hotel.

The hotel occupies most of the previously vacant 15-storey building. The mixed-use development also includes a restaurant, conference facilities as well as 30,000 square feet of high-quality grade A office space and 18,000 square feet of retail space.
