The Inatai Foundation is a CISBF Impact Champion in every sense of those words. From its investments in our community power-building work through the Systems, Power, and Action grant; to the funding of an Alumni Coordinator through the Emerging Opportunities fund; to investing in Transformational Capacity Building for our Administrative Team – the Foundation never ceases to show up for Educational Equity!
These investments have allowed us to further amplify youth and community voice, intentionally engage and mobilize young leaders, and grow alongside fellow leaders in our CIS National Network.
We are incredibly grateful for all the ways the Inatai Foundation supports not only our work, but essential power-building work across our state.

]]>CISBF was incredibly fortunate to receive a Homeless Student Stability Program grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce Office of Homeless Youth last January. Since that time, we have been able to provide low-barrier assistance to over 60 families in our bi-county region. This support has prevented evictions, covered emergency shelter, and provided rapid rehousing and utility assistance. Lack of stable housing has a clear and direct impact on student engagement and achievement and we are so grateful for the the HSSP grant that has allowed us to address this essential need in a compassionate, student-centered way.

Numerica awarded CISBF a first-of-its-kind grant that provided $100 savings vouchers directly to middle and high school students served by CISBF. This direct investment in our youth, paired with virtual financial education sessions provided by Numerica, equips students with the necessary tools to begin planning for financial independence and the bright futures that await them.

Bechtel has made a $10,000 investment in the social-emotional health of local students! This generous gift has allowed CISBF to create over 800 toolkits that empower youth to build strong coping skills by providing tools and prompts for taking a moment to reset when needed.

Thanks to a $40,000 grant from the College Success Foundation, CISBF has been able to host 26 College and Career Readiness events, attended by 3,803 students and families this year. These opportunities allow our youth to engage with representatives from area colleges, complete their FAFSAs, and engage with community members from a variety of fields, trades, and industries in order to plant seeds and grow opportunities their future careers! We want to extend a huge thank you to the College Success Foundation and to the community members who have come alongside us to share their knowledge and expertise!
