“I never thought Karan Johar will cast me. As an outsider, this was a perception fed to me. So, finally, when the offer came my way, it validated my faith in my craft,” says Avinash, who after some small but memorable roles in films — had critics sit up and take notice of him in Laila Majnu. “After Laila Majnu, I had no expectations. I had waited two-and-a-half years for the film’s release, but it was wiped out in a week’s time. I was disappointed, but the film got a new lease of life post its release on an OTT platform,” recounts Tiwary.

His work caught the attention of actor-producer Anushka Sharma. “For four months after the film’s release, I had no offers coming my way. Then Anushka Sharma’s production house approached me for Bulbul.” Avinash also has another promising project in The Girl On The Train with Parineeti Chopra.

The actor is most excited about Ghost Stories. “Karan Johar constantly seeks talent; he has his ear to the ground. He had not watched Laila Majnu, but he had heard of me. So when this project came to him, he sought me out. Working with him has done wonders to my self-confidence. Now, I feel as if I deserved this for long.”

He will be seen discussing the different innovative approaches in the field of education. Notable speakers such as Kavita Devi, Anniruddha Sharma will be seen sharing their insights on the same. Diverse topics on education shall be discussed in this Ed Tech special episode that range from digital learning, differences in methods of learning in India and other countries, the next level of innovation to be adopted in education, etc.

While discussing the prevalent learning systems employed in the school, Karan Johar also shared an interesting thought with the speakers on the show and said, “Mere hisaab se, Front benchers toh padh hi lete hain, back benchers ke liye education ko technology aur innovation ke madhyam se aur interesting banaya ja sakta hai.”

Karan Johar is least interested in maintaining his name in the industry, we can see this from Kalank and now Student Of The Year 2 as he is giving the only name of dharma production to the films. The film fails to follow its elder film SOTY1. The film is high school drama, it does not portray Ishq Wala love But School Wala Love and introduces 2 new faces to the Bollywood.

Tiger Shroff (Rohan Sachdev) –  A small town guy takes admission in the prestigious college in Dehradun to pursue his love interest Tara sutaria (Mrudula aka Mia) but he bumps into the Badass girl Ananya Pandey (Shreya) and her sports competitive brother Aditya seal (Maanav) in the same college. All four of them get into friendship, love and hate with no much ado’s. One day Rohan is kicked off back to Pishorilal Chamandas School and then the competition of Student of the Year takes place between schools of the town and not just limited to students of Saint Teresa. At the same time, the triangle of love grows between Tiger, Tara, and Ananya. The storyline is not so great and doesn’t match up the expectation level.

SOTY 2 is totally different than its prequel only thing similar is the school name – Saint Teresa, and the trophy – Student Of The Year. The competition seemed like a force because it was there in the first film, so the makers had to continue the league. Director Punit Malhotra has kept the look and costume of college and characters very special like Part One, but they have not been able to execute the emotions properly. The film does not have a distinct effect between rich and poor students. The film’s strong side is its dance and action. Also film has focused on hidden sport of India i.e. Kabadi. Editing would have been slightly tangled if it was good. The film is very slow if you are in the theater you will need more intervals instead of 1 or you would eagerly wait for the film to end.

Tiger Shroff has done a great job in acting. According to his role, he has done action, emotions and dance well but he was not suitable for the role of a 16-year boy, he looked way mature than the character. Tara Sutariya’s character has not been crafted properly, and she lacked in acting. Ananya Pandey has managed to record her presence by her cute and charming look along with badass chic nature. Harsh Beniwal entertained the audience with his on time comedy and some humor with perfect punchlines. Aditya Seal had the antagonist grey character. The chemistry of Alia, Varun and Siddharth was effective in ‘Student of the Year’, but the aspect of romance here seems to be cold.

Songs are already popular among the people, and they are quite many which couldn’t fit into 2hrs 26mins movie, so the maker had to keep 2 songs as promotional. Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiya is a needless song as it does not even match the storyline of the film, feels like it was shot just because SOTY 1 had Radha.

Cinespeaks Verdict: All done! The film is a small synonym of disaster for the time invested. It is recommended for you not to take admission in this batch of Karan Johar even though it was the most awaited film of 2019. Watch the film for stunning dance, high action sequence from Tiger Shroff.

“Alia and Tiger look amazing together, their chemistry is sizzling,” raved Punit, saying they always wanted to tie-up with a student from Karan Johar’s 2012 film which had launched Alia, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. “Since we have Tiger it made sense to get Alia who was gracious despite being such a huge star. I haven’t seen anyone work so hard, I’m her fan.”
Punit admitted that Farah’s dance steps were difficult, and the actress ended up with a few bruises, but she refused to give up and despite juggling a couple of films, returned to the set every day.

“The song is a trump card which we saved for the end. Tiger will kill me for saying this, but Alia has danced better than him,” Punit laughed, adding that the colours of the clothes and the set are neon. 

Fox Star Studios presents a Dharma Productions film Student Of The Year 2. The film stars Tiger Shroff and marks the debut of Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday. Directed by Punit Malhotra, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar & Apoorva Mehta, the film is set to release on 10th May, 2019.

The duo had their share of laughter as we all expect it being ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Kapil was like his usual self chilling around and kidding with his guests, something he is to do being the main host of the comedy show.

This isn’t the first time Kjo and Kajol came to Kapil’s show.. While Kjo has come before alone in an episode, Kajol too had graced the show with her presence alongside her husband, Ajay Devgan at a Diwali theme episode in the show in one of it’s earlier season. 

That being said and done, this was the first time they both came together and hence the camaraderie is expected to be a hit. 

During the show, just like many other fun rounds Kapil has with his guests, he played a round with Kjo where Kjo had to give out names of people within the industry as to who fits the best in which department. 

When Kapil asked him about ‘Minister of Health Affairs’ , Karan without any hesitation mentioned Akshay Kumar for the same. Next, on being asked about whom he would give the ‘Minister of Social Media’, Karan jokingly took Varun Dhawan’s name because VD handles his own social media which according to Kjo is evident because of the grammatical errors in them.

Haha sounds fun doesn’t it? 

But the best was saved for the last. On being asked about whom he would hand over the ‘Minister of Gossip Affairs’,  without any hesitation he took the name of none other than our ‘Bebo’,  Kareena Kapoor. 

Adding further light to it, he said, 

“She wakes up and calls her PR team for the day’s gossip. Then, she calls me up to confirm them. If we need to broadcast the news, we should give it to Ranbir (Kapoor). He’ll have it published in the papers in two days.”

Woooh.. That’s a lot of gossip intake on a daily basis we would say.. Wonder what ‘Bebo’ has to say on this if she ever decides to speak on this humorous banter?

Performing as his famous BB Ki Vines character ‘Titu Mama’, Bhuvan initiated a live ‘Titu Talks’ version with Karan Johar at the YouTube fan fest. As part of the act, Bhuvan made Karan call a friend up to say “Hi Titu Mama It’s Me!”  in classic Koffee With Karan format and the friend that Karan called up was none other than Varun Dhawan.

The Fanfest audience also got to witness the live making of the toodles video with Titu Mama and Karan Johar.

Bhuvan’s first episode of Titu Talks was shot with King Khan and it was followed up by a chat with Johnny Sins, the most famous star of the adult entertainment industry. This is the first time Bhuvan’s brainchild Titu Mama will be live on stage with his YouTube property ‘Titu Talks’ and it’s exciting to see how it pans out when two of the most talented and funny personalities collaborate on stage.

Bhuvan also recently won the Filmfare Award inthe short film- popular choice award category forPlus Minus and The Cosmopolitan Blogger Awards for ‘Entertainer Of The Year’ and ‘Viral content Creator’. The YTFF is on 30th March 2019 at Jio Garden BKC.

And now she has sparked a new debate all over again with a new accusation. 

Very recently, there was a video circulated that went viral on the internet where Kangana was seen riding a dummy horse to enact the horse riding scenes of ‘Manikarnika’. Although people within the industry know that actors all over the world enact it that way itself, the common public is too generally too ignorant to understand how certain scenes in filmmaking work.. Hence they take onto trolling and that’s exactly what happened with Kangana in this case. 

People started slamming and trolling Kangana to the core for apparently faking scenes which led to her pr hit a rock bottom. 

It is for this video and negative pr, Kangana has accused Karan Johar and gang for spreading negativity about her.. 

Although Kangana doesn’t have any concrete evidence against them, looks like her self belief gives her the apparent right to accuse plain and simple anyone and everyone..

Earlier, Aamir Khan took to his social media saying that Aamir Khan Productions next film titled ‘Rubaru Roshni’ is all set to premiere this Republic day on Star Plus at 11 am.

Aamir Khan further clarifies that his next film is not about a new episode of ‘Satyamev Jayate’. The actor concluded the video by saying, “Dil pe lagegi tabhi baat banegi and invited the audience to join him to watch the film.

‘Rubaru Roshni’ (face-to-face with light) is the lyrics of the track ‘Roobaroo’, written by Prasoon Joshi and composed by AR Rahman, from Aamir’s much-loved movie ‘Rang De Basanti.’ Naresh Iyer had even won the National Award for his vocals. Incidentally, the movie had also released on January 26, thirteen years ago.

But for the first time ever in it’s history, Koffee With Karan witnessed an episode which had two people who had nothing to do with films as they belong from the field of cricket, the names being the new sensations of Indian Cricket, Hardik Pandya and K.L Rahul.

The duo were invited to be guests on Karan Johar’s show to have a nice and cosy chat with the charismatic Karan.

However seems like this decision of their’s to accept the invitation and go to KWK Season 6 has proved to be a disaster for both.. No we are not blaming Karan Johar here for anything.. It’s probably just another incident of inviting self trouble..

K.L and Hardik engaged in a freewheeling chat with Karan and seems like the duo got so carried away with the format that they end up saying ‘misogynistic’ things for women thereby inviting lot of criticism and flak for themselves on social media and in the public eye.

On the show, Pandya boasted about hooking up with multiple women and also how open he has been about it with his parents.
When asked why he didn’t ask women their name in a club, Pandya responded by saying, “I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I’m little from the black side so I need to see how they move.”

This hasn’t gone down well with people of the country and eventually BCCI which has made BCCI send a showcause notice to both the cricketers to which they have given 24 hours to respond..Not just that BCCI representative added that if needed cricketers might even be barred from attending such shows which have got nothing to do with cricket.

While K.L is yet to come up with an apology, Hardik has tweeted his apology claiming –

“After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. ”

“Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect.”

Well seems like Hardik’s apparent ‘cool and badass’ nature has backfired on him and instead of cooling, has turned the situation hotter and hostile, something he definitely didn’t expect. We wait to see whether K.L Rahul will come up with an explanation with a similar line of thought or will he be having his own ways..
