Are there any corrections to this pattern (Braided Hat)?

I am getting ready to knit it for my great-granddaughter. I have a question about the braids.

The instructions state that rows 1-8 are knit a total of four times for the first braid, but only two times for the second braid. Is that correct?

Thank you so much for this pattern! The Sunshine Tote is my favorite bag EVER! I made my first one about 3 years ago. As a test to see how much stuff I could cram in, I put my bed pillow in the bag! Since then, I’ve made about a dozen of these bags as gifts for friends. They love them as much as I do.

I love this bag and hope to make several for gifts. What yarn do you recommend to get the coloring pattern as pictured in the blue? I’m planning to do one in a blue/purple, yellow/ orange, different greens and maybe one in brown earth tones.
