On August 22nd, at Fort Saint-Jean, now Collège Militaire Royal de Saint-Jean, was inaugurated a monument displaying HMS Maria, Guy Carleton’s flagship at the 1776 battle of Ile Valcour. The monument is located on the Richelieu river shore, close the HMS Maria wreckage (being confirmed) . The site is open to public, just ask for directions when crossing the guardhouse of CMR Saint-Jean.

I loook forward to meeting some of the builders at the June 1 event
