he Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium offers its passengers a wide range of information about Easter events in the various towns that make up the Malaga Area.

On the key days of Easter week in the city of Malaga itself, there will be extra interurban bus services, MetroMálaga and Cercanías (Commuter train) so that those living on the east and west coasts of the Costa del Sol and in the province’s inland towns can take public transport into the city, with later buses both to and from Malaga enabling them to enjoy this special occasion for longer.

We remind you that during the celebration of the processional routes in the different municipalities within the scope of the Consortium, and due to possible cuts to road traffic on streets and roads, those bus routes with origin, passage or destination through them may see their usual itineraries and schedules altered.

Finally, we inform you that, for operational and safety reasons due to the reorganization and positioning of the Malaga urban buses during Holy Week, from Monday to Good Friday starting at 8:00 p.m. the bus stop CARE on bus routes M-160, M163 and M-168 will be cancelled.

Christmas Special Services 2025

Due to the Christmas holidays, several bus routes operated by the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium will offer special schedules on the most important days: 24, 25 and 31 December 2025, and 1 January 2026. You can consult them in the following list:

Please note that on 24th and 25th December, 31st December 2025 and 1st January 2026, the headquarters of the Malaga Metropolitan Transport Consortium (Alameda Principal, 11, 2nd floor) will be closed.

File a complaint, you have the right to do so

Sometimes, you may want to file a complaint about poor service on a public transport line. The reasons can be many, but in all cases, we want to tell you that it is of little use—except for venting, telling us on social media: “The bus, as always, is late” or “Stuck at the stop again and the bus just passes by,” and giving us a one-star rating. You are perfectly entitled to do so, but with so little information, we don’t know how to act.

Instead of that—or in addition (because venting is important)—we highly value it when you report every single occasion in which public transport service falls short. To do this, we ask that you be very specific. To submit your suggestions and complaints and find an effective solution—which is what matters—we need you to complete ALL the fields in the forms.

Of course, if you want to attach a photo or video, all the better.

Once you have completed the form, including the reason for your suggestion or complaint, you can submit it in the following ways:

If you do not have a digital certificate, the form must be printed on paper and submitted in person at the Consortium headquarters (no prior appointment needed): Alameda Principal, 11, 2nd floor, 29001 – Málaga, requesting an appointment in advance.

We assure you that we take your complaints very seriously. All are forwarded to the transport operators, who are responsible for providing good service, and we strive to give the best possible solution (even though we may not always be able to do so as quickly as we would like).

Each complaint submitted in this way is one more argument we can use to improve public transport in Málaga.

Summer 2025 Special Services to beaches, shops and night spots

Between June, 20th and September, 8th, head to the beach, go shopping or enjoy a night on the town on public transport.

As in previous years, the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium is offering a Special Summer Service. This includes new inter-urban bus routes and increased frequency of existing bus services, enabling passengers to take public transport to beaches, shopping centres and night spots and thus avoid the problems associated with the use of private vehicles (traffic jams, parking, fines, etc.).

The Summer Service will be available between June, 20th and September, 8th, 2025 to bus users in Alhaurín de la Torre, Alhaurín el Grande, Álora, Almogía, Cártama, Casabermeja, Mijas, Pizarra, Totalán, Coín, Riogordo, Valle de Abdalajís and Villanueva de la Concepción with beaches in Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Málaga.

Enjoy the summer in a safe, comfortable and cheap way, with Consorcio Travel Card from 0,62 €, by using the Malaga Metropolitan Travel Card (passenger from Almogía must configure the card according to a 2 fare zone crossings).

Temporary relocation and out-of-service bus stops in Avenida Gamonal from february, 17th

Malaga Area Metropolitan transport Consortium informs you that, due to the works that are being carried out on Avenida Gamonal, in Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmádena), interurban bus stops located on this road will be temporarily out of service or relocated from February 17:

Avenida Gamonal II bus stop: It is temporarily moved to Avenida de Federico García Lorca, next to Mercadona.
Avenida Gamonal I Stop: This stop will be out of service during the execution of the works. The closest bus stop in service is located on Avenida de Federico García Lorca, next to Mercadona.
Plaza de Júpiter: It will be provisionally relocated to Avenida de Federico García Lorca crossing Avenida Gamonal.

Special Metropolitan Bus Services Feria de Málaga, August, 17th to 24th

Forget about traffic jams, accidents, fines, drinking tests, the price of petrol, how far you parked your car, etc… Come to enjoy the Feria in Málaga and leave all problems and your car at home. The Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport offers special services during the Feria 2024 between August, 17th to 24th, making it more accessible, cheaper, faster and safer to reach the Fairground from the towns of Benalmádena Costa, Rincón de la Victoria, Las Lagunas (Mijas), Fuengirola, Alhaurín de la Torre, Pinos de Alhaurín, Cártama Pueblo, Cártama Estación, Casabermeja, La Redonda, Álora, Pizarra, Colmenar and Torremolinos. And this year also from Alhaurín el Grande, Coín, Riogordo, Valle de Abdalajís and Villanueva de la Concepción.

These services feature routes and timetables tailored to your needs, from those to opt to leave early to those who stay up until wee hours. And remember that you can enjoy significant discounts when using your Travel Card from the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport:

Winter timetables from September, 10th

Bus routes with increased frequency of existing bus services will end on September, 9th. From September, 10th, the following bus routes will return to their usual timetables:

On September, 9th, Summer Special Services 2023, which connect inland municipalities with beaches and leisure areas, will also finish.

Increased M-122 bus services due to Mijas Fair (september, 5th to 10th), including bus stop at Las Lagunas

The Málaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium increases several bus routes during the Feria de Mijas 2023 (Mijas Fair), from September, 5th to 10th.

Bus route M-122 Fuengirola – Mijas will increase its services with departures from Fuengirola untill 02:00 and from Mijas Pueblo untill 02:30.

In addition, from 18:45 bus route M-122 will stop at “Rotonda Ford”, to provide service to users who want to access from Las lagunas to Mijas Pueblo.

We inform you that, due to the fair and festivities of Mijas 2023, from August 31st to September 17th the bus stop “Mijas Pueblo” will be moved to the entrance of the Mijas Town Hall car park, located in the Plaza Fuente de la Seda of this town.

Leave the car at home and experience the Mijas Pueblo Fair day and night by public transport, from 0,40 € (if you pay the trip with the Transport Card configured for zero fare zones). Cheaper, more comfortable, safer.
