How is your adopted pet doing? We renamed him Loki because he is such a mischievous and curious little kitten! He has grown so much over the last few months, and we love him more than we could have imagined.
Loki spends his days lounging around the house with his work-from-home dad, keeping him company, and then spends every evening running around, playing, and demanding plenty of cuddles. He is absolutely spoiled rotten and loving every minute of it! His favorite things are hanging out in his window seat, lounging in the bathroom sink, watching the world go by, and climbing absolutely everything in sight.
He has truly become such a special part of our family, and we are so grateful to have him.

Pet’s New Name (if you changed it): Phoebe
How is your adopted pet doing? Phoebe (formerly Mimi; I changed her name to something that sounded similar so she didn’t get confused, but I couldn’t have a dog whose name means “grandma” to so many southerners) is doing mostly great. She’s warmed up to my home pretty well, for a dog who is so anxious, and she mostly trusts me. She’s beginning to make friends with my more sociable cat, even though she’s a little scared of her. She follows me everywhere and gets upset if she can’t see me. She’s picked up on so many words just by me using them passively. Currently, I’m working with her on being more confident and not having to be glued to me in order to feel safe. This is a struggle, as she thinks the floor is lava. But we’re working on it! She’s wonderful at walking on a leash and we’ve been going to a little path surrounding a church out here nearly every morning or night (but never during the day because it’s been over 85 and I don’t want her getting heat exhaustion!), where she has come to recognize some of the other dogs who get walked there frequently. I can tell she wants to play with them, but the second any of them move too quickly, she gets scared and runs away. Lotta work we have to do, but she improves a little every day, so I’m hoping we can get there! I’ve been working with a family friend with a degree in canine psychology to try to pinpoint why Phoebe acts like she does and how we can work around her skittish nature and help her be confident, but it’s slow going. Progress is not made overnight, after all. But I’m willing to work with her as long as she needs it. Currently, she is laying on me, sleeping, as she does most of the time I am home. We’ll be going out for our evening walk shortly, but I can’t wake her up. That’s illegal. Even though I know we have a lot of work ahead of us, she’s a wonderful dog, and I look forward to all the years I’ll have with her. I’m so happy I found her

How is your adopted pet doing? He fits in so perfectly with our family! Our golden retriever Bailey and Koda are inseparable (BEST BUDS). He loves all the attention he gets from his two human sisters even when they dress him up as a baby. He is a very spoiled boy and we love him so much.

How is your adopted pet doing? Oliver has been a wonderful addition to our lives! He is best friends with his big sister (Binx) – they play together, sleep together, and eat together! Oliver (aka Olive) is super playful, loving, and such a sweet boy! I absolutely adore him.

How is your adopted pet doing? Arlo and Miro are doing amazing and have settled in quite well. When they are not busy wrestling each other or running up and down the hallway, Arlo and Miro love to be our cuddle buddies on the couch. It has been especially rewarding to see Arlo’s personality blossom since he was the shy and timid one. They definitely keep us on our toes!

How is your adopted pet doing? Nyx is the sweetest, most energetic little bundle of joy! He fit right into our family from the moment we brought him home. The day we adopted him, he spotted our other cat’s toys as soon as we walked in the door and immediately started playing, as if he’d lived here forever.
He gives the best cuddles, has the loudest, happiest purr, and brings so much love and laughter into our home. One of our favorite things is watching him proudly carry toys around in his mouth that are bigger than he is. He absolutely adores his big sister kitty, Boo and wants to play with her 24/7.
We couldn’t be more grateful that this little guy is now part of our family. Thank you for bringing Nyx into our lives!
