Most Phony Episode

Has anyone noticed the gold 1967 Mustang with the white top? It was in almost every episode for the first 3 or 4 seasons then is gone for a while and then comes back in seasons 6 and 7. I wonder where that car is now?

Has anyone noticed the light blue VW Bug that appears in many of the street scenes of Adam 12? I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. Is it stock footage rolling on a green screen when they are in the car or did a producer or someone have a bug they were so proud of they had to get it into every show? I don't know if anyone has seen these for sale on eBay but some guy is selling a lot of the MOTEC radio heads that are wired so when you turn the mic on the light goes on. I want to try and do the same with mine. If you know how to do this or have bought one of these please let me know. I got a new blackberry today, and it had a really lame tone for new text messages/instant messages...and I always thought that the 3-beep hotshot tone from Adam-12 would make a neat one... I plan to replace as much wiring as possible this off season. All the wiring harnesses I'll need run about $500. These are exact fit replacements. I'll let you know how it goes and where I got them if you need to do this also in the future.

I thought it might be time for a "all you wanted to know about Adam-12 but were afraid to ask" kind of thread...I'll start off:

Was the 67 Belvedere used in the pilot a studio car or an in-service vehicle? The 68, 69, and 71 were studio cars and could be distingushed by the white paint under the hood and trunk. The 67 is black under the trunk, and has the second radio control head that none of the other cars used.

Anyone know the answer??
