- No orders will be picked in the Melbourne warehouse during the stocktake.
- Please plan ahead to avoid disruptions to any regular orders.
- Orders will be disrupted to VIC, TAS, SA, and NSW
- No disruption to QLD and WA (except for orders dispatched from Melbourne)
As you can no doubt imagine, this stocktake is a major undertaking! We apologise for any inconvenience this disruption might cause. We are working as quickly as possible with our warehouse team to ensure a return to normal operation as soon as possible. To ensure your Blindware product orders arrive with plenty of time to fulfill your customer orders, check out this helpful list of pre-Christmas order cut off times.

Pre-Christmas shipping of international orders
All international orders need to be placed with the Blindware team by December 12th. This will ensure enough time for international orders to be dispatched from Australia pre-Christmas and our international customers won’t experience delays as a result of the Blindware office closure.
Blindware will be closed from December 24th to January 2nd, re-opening on January 3rd.

It’s that time of year again, when we rug up in lots of warm layers and (bravely) head out into our warehouses with a scanner and clipboard for the Blindware stocktake. Never our most favourite job…. we’re sure you can all relate!
We want to make this process a seamless as possible for our customers, with minimal disruption.
Blindware Stocktake: Here’s what you need to know:
- Customers affected – VIC, NSW, SA, TAS & NZ
- QLD and WA not affected except for orders shipped from Melbourne.
- Stocktake will be broken into 4 product categories to minimise order disruption.
- There will be times when product ordering is temporarily unavailable.
- Plan ahead to ensure your stock and orders are not impacted.

Urgent Product Update
The Australian Government has outlined new regulations for all devices using internal coin/button batteries, effective as of 22nd June 2022. These regulations will temporarily impact the sale and distribution of some Blindware remote control units used with our motorised blinds.
Blindware is committed to ensuring the safety of young children around our products. We have tested our current range of battery-operated remotes against the new regulations and are making the necessary design adjustments to ensure compliance.
So, what does this mean for our customers?
Affected Products: Remote Controls for Motorised Blinds
| All ‘flat style’ handheld remote controls with coin batteries in our range will be replaced with a USB rechargeable battery version, available in 4 weeks time. These new remotes do not use coin/button batteries inside. See below for interim solution. All compact wall remote controls in our range no longer comply and cannot be sold any longer. These will be redesigned by our team over the next few months. In the interim, we will be returning to the original wall remote design (available in 1 & 2 channels). |
Current coin battery “flat” remotes with the battery compartment permanently closed (glued) have passed certification testing. We will supply these for the next 4 weeks, until our new series of remotes arrive. These glued remotes are single use only (replace when battery is flat in 3-5 years). Available at 1/2 price.
Original 1 & 2 channel wall remote design used with our motorised blinds will temporarily replace all ‘compact’ wall remotes.
