Thank you for your kind comment. The funny thing is that Wuthering Waves was criticized for a while (with some justificaiton) for telling short-term, emotionally shallow stories about waifus that didn’t matter beyond a single patch. This one changed a lot of minds and electrified the community. Beyond that, the final scene with Aemeath on the bench triggered very specific memories and was the emotional seed of the piece. The best stories tend to stick inside my brain for a while and this was the result.
I admit I have a weakness for puns in my titles in a lot of my work here. I guess I had one more in me!
]]>Are you coming back to Anime Diet?
No, this is a one time thing. I’m proud of the work I did when I was editor, but that phase of my life is now in the past.
Then why did you write this here after so many years?
I needed to do it. That’s the best answer—it almost happened against my will. I didn’t plan it ahead of time. All I know is that one evening something came over me and this just needed to be done. And since it ended up like previous pieces I did here it was the best place to put it.
Are you OK now?
Yes. My life is a lot more settled and peaceful now. Most of these events happened years ago but it took a while to express them properly.
Have you played the new Wuwa update that came out yesterday that apparently has more Aemeath story?
Not yet. I’ll get to it this weekend. No spoilers please.
Do you plan on writing elsewhere?
I don’t know. I’ve thought about it but I’m not sure.
tldr lol wtf is this yapping?
God bless you and have a nice day. Really.
