In our conversation today, she explains why she moved to Colorado and what her daily life is like surrounded by all the natural beauty that the area has to offer.

Kristin is clearly passionate about her job as a realtor, which she explains as involving aspects of acting as a tour guide. In other words, she does more than simply help her clients find new homes; she also introduces them to a new lifestyle and helps them settle into a mindset full of ageless energy.

We also hear about some challenges that Kristin has faced, specifically regarding health. Her Lyme disease went undiagnosed for a full year, after which she took a two-year course of antibiotics. She has used both Western and alternative medicine to help her in her quest to regain vitality, and she discusses both in this episode. She also emphasizes the importance of getting outdoors and surrounding yourself in nature, and mentions the health benefits of forest bathing.

Don't let Kristin's Lyme disease diagnosis make you think she's not healthy enough to live an active life! In addition to her career as a real estate agent, Kristin is a master diver and has recently won a rifle competition. In this chat, we discuss the ways in which these activities are fundamentally linked to a life of ageless energy.

017: Yogi Master Instructor, Darletta Michael 017: Yogi Master Instructor, Darletta Michael Tue, 01 Aug 2017 07:00:00 +0000 My long-lost friend from high school, Darletta Michael. Who would have guessed, back in our high school days, that all these years later Darletta would be my yogi master instructor? But I wouldn't have it any other way! Darletta is amazing at what she does as she approaches yoga from the perspective of mind, body, and spirit -- and brings a healthy dose of her own passion for it!

In our conversation today, we'll talk about various ways in which practicing yoga can help anyone feel 22 at any age. And in case you're worried that you actually need to be a fit 22-year-old to do yoga, let Darletta reassure you to the contrary. As she sees it, there's no room for competition in yoga; she explains that the energy should be full of camaraderie and support instead.

Darletta also spends some time offering the perhaps-surprising information that what you were trained to think is "good" posture may actually be harming you. Do you tend to suck your stomach in and hold your shoulders tightly? If so, be sure to tune in to learn why that's a problem.

In addition to offering all these insights into yoga, along with many more, Darletta provides listeners with some great resources on where to learn more. And, best of all, she has just agreed to come to the upcoming Ageless Energy conference! I'd love to see you there so you can have the opportunity to learn from this amazing woman in person.

016: Former CEO of Texas Drug Warehouse, Leadership Performance Principals of Top Achievers 016: Former CEO of Texas Drug Warehouse, Leadership Performance Principals of Top Achievers Tue, 25 Jul 2017 07:00:00 +0000 At 69 years young, Chris Kelly offers a mature and inspirational perspective on what it means to feel 22 at any age. He has enough decades behind him to speak from deep experience, but has the energy and vitality you'd expect from a man half his age (or less!).

Part of this, as he explains, is because he's been incredibly active for most of his life. He was a runner for many years, and has transitioned to other kinds of physical exercise as his knees have objected more to running. Especially after he retired a year and a half ago, Chris has been incredibly active at the gym. In fact, I thought he was part of the gym's ownership because he's so involved there and knows everybody! It turns out that's just a result of his dedication to physical fitness.

If you're wondering how dedicated he is, let's put it this way: he does a two-hour exercise routine almost every morning, starting at 6 AM. While his wife may object to having the story spread around, I'm delighted that he shared the entertaining tale of how he shifted from afternoon or evening workouts to exercising in the early morning. I think those of you in marriages will be able to relate!

With all that said, Chris is well aware that true vitality involves more than just the body. He's devoted to the other two facets of the triangle (that is, mind and spirit) as well. But he also challenges the division of mind, body, and spirit into three distinct categories by sharing an impactful story about how the mind can affect your physical abilities.

Finally, he shares his key to feeling 22 at any age. Based on all this, you might think it's either exercise or mental strength… but in fact it's something even more powerful. Chris credits his vitality and sense of being 22 at any age to family, and he movingly relates why this is the case for him.

Show Notes

[01:26] - Chris starts things off by introducing himself and sharing some of his complex and varied background, including his time in college.

[03:52] - In 1972, Chris interviewed for a job at Arthur Andersen with his long hair in a pony tail. He got the job offer, on the condition that he cut his hair. After relating this story, Chris covers his career in some depth.

[06:16] - Now that he has (recently) retired, Chris has been spending a lot of time at the gym, though he's not new to being physically active and getting a lot of exercise.

[07:19] - Dr. George jokes about having thought Chris was involved in the ownership of the gym because he's so active there.

[07:58] - How long has Chris been so physically active? As he answers, he explains why he's a morning runner.

[09:56] - Chris has the most discipline in the spirit category (out of the options of mind, body, and spirit). He explains why, and how willpower can triumph over physical ability.

[12:06] - We learn that Chris had several hundred people under him at one point in his career.

[12:56] - When Chris was hiring these people, what particular traits was he looking for the most to indicate that they would be successful?

[16:15] - Chris discusses ways in which money can help someone feel 22 at any age -- or, on the flip side, work against this sense of youth and wellness.

[17:24] - We hear about a lunch that Chris recently had with two people in their 50s who have decided that they want to retire earlier.

[18:53] - What does feeling 22 at any age mean to Chris, and how does he achieve it? Does it come from relationships, family, or something else entirely?

[20:23] - In life, you die two deaths, Chris explains: your mortal death, and the 10 years you spend sitting with a remote, watching TV, and not being involved with life around you.

[21:02] - How can people get in touch with Chris?

015: Gravity Man From Marvel Comics AKA Greg Willis talks about Mind Body Superpowers! 015: Gravity Man From Marvel Comics AKA Greg Willis talks about Mind Body Superpowers! Tue, 18 Jul 2017 07:00:00 +0000 Greg Willis, who's joining me here today, starts things off by explaining exactly how he became the inspiration for Marvel's Gravity Man (also named Greg Willis, and also from Wisconsin).

The real Greg Willis is a founder of the Day Spa Association and the International Medical Spa Association, so he knows just about everything there is to know about spas. Since I grew up in in the spa industry and have been heavily involved in it for most of my life, we had quite a bit to talk about.

We discuss, for example, some topics that can help spa owners create better experiences for their customers. It's important that spas focus not only on the body, but also on rejuvenating the mind and spirit, and we spend some time addressing ways they can do that.

We also talk about the importance of finding the right industry in maintaining a good mood, which is part of what it takes to feel 22 at any age! A huge part of that is finding your tribe, which ideally you can do in your work. If you're in an industry that isn't full of your people, though, you'll have to find hobbies that let you mingle with them in your free time.

Finally, we talk about two upcoming conferences. Greg and I will both be at both of them, and we'd love to see you there!

Show Notes

[01:37] - How did Greg become a Marvel comic superhero? In response, Greg relates the entertaining story of how he became Gravity.

[05:05] - Greg talks about where to find the Day Spa Association and International Medical Spa Association, which are now both under the banner of the Spa Industry Association.

[06:21] - Dr. George talks about his own experience in the spa industry, sharing stories of his teenage years with his mother owning a spa.

[08:04] - What does Greg see as some of the things that spa owners might need to create better mind/body/spirit experiences to help their customers grow?

[10:10] - When Greg is in a spa, he likes to have his personal space, but traditional massages are his favorite treatment.

[10:42] - Greg discusses the general favorite spa treatment for women. He and Dr. George then joke about the reason that women have gotten involved with them.

[12:32] - What does Greg see in medical spas that would affect the mind in particular, more than the body or spirit? After Greg answers, Dr. George expands on what Greg has been saying.

[15:49] - Dr. George talks about an uncommon device in the spa industry. He then offers his opinion on why relatively few people know about it.

[18:23] - Greg and Dr. George talk about being a good mood, mentioning the fact that they generally see each other in fun environments.

[19:39] - A lot of people are in their industry because that's where they feel comfortable, Greg points out. Dr. George says that if you're not lucky enough to work in an industry that's populated by your tribe, you should spend your free time around the sorts of people you relate to (or want to relate to).

[21:18] - Dr. George brings up an upcoming International Esthetics, Cosmetics, & Spa Conference in Florida on September 24th and 25th, 2017, and invites listeners. You can learn more here! He then talks about the first Ageless Energy conference, which you can learn more about by emailing support@catchfirecoaching.com.

Greg Willis, who's joining me here today, starts things off by explaining exactly how he became the inspiration for Marvel's Gravity Man (also named Greg Willis, and also from Wisconsin).

014: How to Scale Your Highest Mountain In Life with John Tyree 014: How to Scale Your Highest Mountain In Life with John Tyree Wed, 12 Jul 2017 14:46:45 +0000 Welcome to the podcast! I'm your host, Dr. Chandler George of Ageless Energy.

Today, my long time friend John Tyree who I have known for 30 or 40 years is on the show. John was a Texas State Champion powerlifter and a World Champion powerlifter. He was also my coach when I was a powerlifter. I have known and admired John a long time. I have seen what he can do when he puts his mind to it. I talk with John about some of the things he did to stay at peak mental, physical, and spiritual conditioning for ultimate performance when he was powerlifting.

John used visualization when lifting to get in the right state of mind for performance. He also trained four days a week, along with stretching on off days, and eating right. John is an example of someone who understands the importance of sacrifice and discipline to achieve his goals. Now in his 60s, John has never stopped participating in sports at a high level. He is now retired from powerlifting and has taken up mountaineering instead. He has a goal to climb 15 mountains this year and he has been practicing by climbing in Colorado. This show is the perfect lead in to my series on ultimate fitness, and John is the perfect example to kick off this segment of Ageless Energy.

[04:36] John is retired from powerlifting, but he keeps in shape body, mind, and soul by training for mountaineering and climbing mountains in Colorado.

[05:32] John can keep going with these different sports at a high level because he never stopped doing the physical stuff.

[06:01] It's his goal to climb 15 mountains this year.

[07:02] Find something that excites you and then do it on the highest level.

[07:46] John is a paid mountain guide and takes people to the top. The climb takes at least 12 hours.

[08:47] John always gives thanks for being able to do what he does.

[09:18] He loves accomplishment if you enjoy what you are doing it doesn't really take too much discipline.

[09:58] How positive addictions can get carried too far.

[10:29] It's possible to have discipline and focus and still do what is really important in life.

[11:10] If you don't have a thing you like to do, you don't have anything to look forward too.

[11:46] Dr. Beck Weathers story of climbing Mt. Everest.

[12:20] As we get older the most important thing is our family and friends.

[12:52] John had to quit a good job at the phone company to live his dreams of coaching and training.

[14:42] Zero gravity device and breathing pure oxygen to put pressure on your diaphragm to force you to breathe better.

[15:58] Breathing better with oxygen and devices that teach you how to breathe.

[16:52] How our bodies remember what they are supposed to do.

013: Can Chocolates Be Made to Be Healthy with Jessica Dee 013: Can Chocolates Be Made to Be Healthy with Jessica Dee Tue, 04 Jul 2017 07:00:00 +0000 My special guest today is the vibrant and charismatic Jessica Dee. I haven't known Jessica long (just a few days, in fact), but I knew as soon as I met her that she was a perfect guest for the podcast, and I'm delighted that she agreed.

Jessica was born and raised in Illinois until her family moved to Colorado as a result of her father being in a debilitating car accident (a story that she'll explain in more depth in our conversation). In high school, she explains that she got either A's or F's depending on the subject, and she didn't believe college was the right choice for her. Instead, she wanted to see the world, so she joined the Marines right before 9/11.

Instead of regretting her choice, Jessica relished the opportunity to serve her country in its time of need, all while fulfilling her wish to see more of the world. She spent a year each in Haiti, Prague, and Havana. During her 13 years in the Marines, she filled many different roles, which she'll talk about in this episode.

As interesting as all that is, the real reason that Jessica is here today is to talk about a subject that's near and dear to many of our hearts: chocolate. For many of us, chocolate is one of those taboo treats that we know we shouldn't have (except for the occasional piece of dark chocolate).

Jessica is here to change all that. She works with Esthechoc, a company that makes chocolate that's not only permitted, but even encouraged as part of a healthy diet. Their antioxidant-packed treats are actually categorized as supplements rather than candy! Instead of giving everything away here, though, I'll let Jessica tell you more in the episode.

Show Notes

[01:37] - Jessica talks about her chocolates, including the skin care chocolate that Dr. George has already tried. She then goes into more details about the chocolates, which are non-GMO, organic, and gluten-free, and have less sugar than you might expect.

[03:19] - We learn more about the energy that Esthechoc can cause (which is more than just a sugar high).

[04:53] - Jessica discusses being featured on The Doctors. She and Dr. George then jokingly discuss the potential side effects of eating too much Esthechoc.

[07:14] - Jessica lists some resources, then explains why not everything that says it has antioxidants is equally good for the body.

[09:02] - In terms of the mental aspect of health, what does Jessica do to create more ageless energy in her life? Dr. George responds to her answer by pointing out how hard we tend to judge ourselves.

[11:16] - Jessica takes a moment to point out how hot it is in Las Vegas.

[11:57] - Dr. George talks about how lots of people in Vegas gave away their energy last night, whether through gambling, drinking, or other activities.

[13:40] - Now that she's talked about the mental part of health, Jessica moves on to talking about the spiritual aspect. She also offers some insight into her childhood and youth.

[16:38] - Jessica goes into more depth about her time in the Marines. She then talks about the main events in her life since then, both personally and in terms of her career.

[20:26] - Dr. George talks about the first annual Ageless Energy conference, which will take place on October 20th and 21st in Dallas, Texas.

[22:06] - Jessica's book will be released in October 2017. It's called Life's Fuckery 1.0, and you can learn more on Jessica's website.

[22:52] - Dr. George addresses Jessica's religious background, and she explains her diverse experiences in that regard.

012: Listen to this podcast or die broke with Mark Jackson II 012: Listen to this podcast or die broke with Mark Jackson II Mon, 26 Jun 2017 07:00:00 +0000 Mark Jackson II grew up in New Orleans and ended up in Oklahoma City by way of the Air Force. During his time in the military, he had the opportunity to live in Japan for three years before being stationed in Oklahoma, where he decided to stay indefinitely.

Because Mark still wanted to serve his country, he became a civilian Department of Defense employee. He also took the opportunity to go to college, which he hadn't been able to do earlier. He also made the courageous decision to start his own business, which he'll discuss in this episode.

Mark's strength and area of expertise lies in ageless energy that's rooted in being financially successful and free of the constant stress of debt. As you likely know if you've ever been in debt of any kind (whether from a home, a car, credit cards, medical issues, or even going to college), owing money is something that hangs over your head and is constantly present as a stressor in your life. Imagine the energy and freedom that could come from removing this stress!

As we discuss, though, not all debt is necessarily a bad thing. This comes up as we discuss my very recent real estate transaction, as you'll hear about in our conversation! In addition to talking about financial freedom, Mark and I discuss topics including affirmations, indecision, and the powerful fact that regardless of your age or race, your character can trump all stereotypes when someone meets you.

[01:20] - Mark starts off the show by telling us more about himself and how his life path has brought him to where he is today.

[03:35] - Mark touches on the role of finance (and not being in debt) in feeling 22 at any age. He then talks about his life after college.

[05:02] - Dr. George steps in to talk about affirmations that he memorized and has used to stay positive.

[07:02] - We learn more about what Mark does in terms of finances, with him explaining that financial stress is what prompted him to become more entrepreneurial.

[11:37] - How can listeners get in touch with Mark if they're interested in becoming his clients or working with him? Mark answers, then talks more about his book.

[14:36] - Dr. George asks whether mind, body, or spirit is most important to Mark, and why. Mark responds, then Dr. George talks about his recent experience in dealing with real estate and the opportunities that have arisen from that.

[19:33] - Mark responds to Dr. George's story, pointing out the universal cause-and-effect phenomenon involved.

[20:43] - Indecision steals energy, Mark explains, but many of us suffer from it on multiple topics.

[22:38] - Dr. George points out that there needs to be more information out there about the topics Mark is discussing, which is the need that this podcast is filling.

[24:21] - Dr. George is a "middle-aged white dude" and Mark is a "young, African-American millennial," but they get along because good people attract good people, as Mark points out. This allows them to reach more people, Dr. George explains.

[25:42] - Mark memorably points out that your character trumps all stereotypes when someone meets you.

[29:45] - One of the biggest benefits Mark gets from events is being around like-minded people, he explains.

011: Diary of a Stressed Out Mama with Leslie Silvey 011: Diary of a Stressed Out Mama with Leslie Silvey Wed, 21 Jun 2017 02:47:17 +0000 Leslie Silvey helps me out a lot (in fact, she's who you can get in contact with if you email support@catchfirecoaching.com) and a friend who I've known for a number of years, along with her husband and children, in various roles.

As she shares with us in this conversation, Leslie has a rare and problematic health condition that causes her to be basically allergic to light. This isn't only sunlight, but also indoor lighting as well as the light emitted by computers and cell phones, for example. Despite this challenge, Leslie lives a fulfilling life.

It's never harder to feel 22 and full of ageless energy than when you're not in good health. That's why I thought having Leslie on to share her experiences would offer wonderful first-hand insight into how it's possible to achieve that feeling even when you're struggling with a chronic condition.

Leslie is an enthusiastic gardener who loves spending time at the water. Since long, sunny days on the beach or in the yard aren't practical options for her, she's found workarounds for these things, which she describes in our conversation. She also explains why (and how) she manages to live in Texas, which may not be the most obvious place for someone with sensitivity to light.

In addition to hearing about Leslie's challenges and successes, you'll hear about the importance of truly understanding your needs and priorities. We'll go through a brief exercise that involves creating your perfect day, putting this self-knowledge into practice.

Show Notes

[01:25] - Leslie starts things off by sharing some information about herself, revealing that she has a rare health condition that she has and explaining how she was diagnosed.

[04:16] - We hear more about how Leslie's health condition functions, and what triggers it.

[05:13] - If Leslie has a reaction to light, should she be living as far north as possible to get less light? She answers, then reveals one of the unexpected benefits that her health condition has created for her.

[07:18] - Leslie suggests staying out of the sun as one of her keys to feeling 22 at any age. Dr. George then talks more about skin cancer and the importance of taking care of your skin.

[10:01] - Dr. George goes back to the topic of teeth, which Leslie mentioned a moment ago.

[11:48] - Most of Leslie's friends like to work out, eat (and grow!) organic food, and live healthy lives as much as possible. She explains how she gardens despite her physical issues with light, and describes why her garden is so important to her.

[14:24] - Leslie explains why we should all figure out our own needs. She and Dr. George then discuss the importance of fulfilling these needs.

[17:10] - Dr. George offers listeners a challenge: create your perfect year, month, week, and day. He then talks us through how he has done this, and gives some insight into what his perfect day looks like.

[18:29] - Has Leslie ever done something like this, in terms of defining her perfect day (or week, month, or year)?

[19:28] - Dr. George suggests that listeners email Leslie at support@catchfirecoaching.com if they're interested in going on an Ageless Energy cruise. If there's enough interest, he plans to create one, so don't hesitate to get in touch!

[20:48] - We hear about Dr. George's cousin's wedding many years ago, and how the magic of the experience is one of the things that can help you feel 22 again.

Leslie Silvey helps me out a lot (in fact, she's who you can get in contact with if you email support@catchfirecoaching.com) and a friend who I've known for a number of years, along with her husband and children, in various roles.

010: Digging Deeper Into Ageless Energy with Dr. Chandler George 010: Digging Deeper Into Ageless Energy with Dr. Chandler George Thu, 15 Jun 2017 23:32:07 +0000 Welcome to the podcast! I'm your host, Dr. Chandler George of Ageless Energy.

Here's some fun news: I'm not only the host, but also the guest on this week's episode! I'll take this opportunity to dig deeper into several aspects of ageless energy, revealing some methods and tools that will help you feel 22 at any age.

One topic I discuss at some length in this episode is the importance of taking a true sabbatical from work to refresh your mind, body, and spirit. You need to do this consistently; take a year off every 7 years, or a day off every week. This is a Biblical principle, not just something I've made up, and there's a good reason for it.

Diet is also incredibly important for ageless energy. Sugar is the drug of choice for many Americans, but our bodies can't digest white sugar. In fact, we usually become allergic to it. I'll offer a couple of alternatives that may not have exactly the same taste, but are so much better for your body.

I also talk about detoxification. This can make you feel unwell, especially the first time you go through the process. In fact, flu-like symptoms are common. With that said, detoxifying can be valuable in terms of health. Listen in to learn more about this!

If you've ever stressed out about money, you understand that financial freedom is at least as important as any other kind of freedom. When you're financially free, it's so much easier to feel 22 again. However, as Americans, most of us are thoroughly trapped in a cycle of consumerism that keeps us chained to our jobs. I'll talk more about that, explaining the deeper reason that our system works this way and offering some insight into how to break free.

If these topics interest you, I'd also like to invite you to our next event, which will be held on October 20th and 21st in Dallas, Texas. Listen in to hear more about what to expect there. I hope to see you at the event, because personal connection is yet another incredibly important part of truly ageless energy!

Show Notes

[01:40] - Dr. George brings up some of what was covered at the Ageless Energy event last weekend, which was freedom. As he explains, being free is what helps you feel 22 again.

[02:41] - In California, one of the largest natural lakes is drying up and creating a dust bowl. Dr. George explains why, and what this means in terms of health.

[04:02] - We learn more about the need for time off. It turns out we need at least one day off for every week.

[05:15] - Dr. George brings up the topic of sugar and processed foods. He discusses the problems with these sorts of foods, and explains what works better for him.

[07:22] - Detoxification may cause you to feel sick for a while, especially the first time around. Dr. George explains this and more about detoxification and colonics.

[08:39] - Most of us run for escapism, Dr. George says. He then talks about addictions, which can be either good or bad.

[10:06] - Dr. George explains how he'll be taking a sabbatical this summer, and invites listeners to connect with him. He then briefly discusses the conference in October.

[10:51] - We hear about the importance of connecting with others.

[11:21] - Dr. George shares a bit about his cousin Nancy in relation to having a simple life that you love.

[12:09] - We learn about finances, with Dr. George offering advice for how to achieve financial freedom and explaining the government's interest in keeping us working (and enslaved). He also explains how he's personally breaking free of those financial chains.

[15:08] - Dr. George recommends creating new habits to feel 22 at any age. It may seem hard at first, but it only takes 21 days to turn something into a habit.

[17:04] - A river is a strong metaphor for life, which Dr. George illustrates through a story about having almost drowned in a river. He turns this it into a lesson about faith and letting others help.

009: Finding Freedom in Servant Leadership with Czarina Harris 009: Finding Freedom in Servant Leadership with Czarina Harris Tue, 06 Jun 2017 07:00:00 +0000 Czarina Harris is part of the note industry (a very specific facet of the real estate, and one which she explains in more depth in the show). But Czarina isn't just in real estate for the money; she's deeply committed to a life of service and to doing good.

Czarina's first mentor in the note industry is largely to thank for her current perspective. As she explains, he brought her back down to reality (from her dreams of quick riches), and then taught her the importance of what she calls servant leadership. In other words, you lead by being a servant to people and allowing that to be reciprocated.

In applying this concept to her work, Czarina tries to put the greatest good at the forefront, even if it isn't necessarily her own good. This allows her to have the freedom that comes with being in the note industry while living a life that's deeply aligned with her innermost values.

As I hope you'll hear throughout the conversation, Czarina is someone who has retained that remarkable childlike ability to be creative and fun, even throughout her work in real estate investment. This is clearly shown in her podcast, a "spy-themed note-investing podcast" that has developed a following of devoted fans. She's also fortunate enough to have strong analytical skills, which is an incredible combination that allows her to truly shine.

Listen in to learn more about all of this, as well as what makes Czarina feel 22, why Dayton is a great investment location, how to do things the right way the first time around, and why knowing yourself is one of the most important factors in making financial decisions.

[05:51] - We learn about Czarina's podcast, Note Inc, which she describes as a "fictional, spy-themed note-investing podcast."

[09:39] - Czarina talks about how her work with notes has given her more freedom of time. As she discusses this, she explains how important her mother is in her choice of industry.

008: Balancing Routine with Shaking Things Up: Shirley Vazquez 008: Balancing Routine with Shaking Things Up: Shirley Vazquez Tue, 30 May 2017 07:00:00 +0000 Shirley Vazquez, an ordained minister, hails from two hours due west of Chicago.

She's had a teacher's spirit for as much of her life as she can remember. In this conversation, she entertainingly relays the fact that, even when she was a child, she told adults how to do things better -- which, not surprisingly, wasn't always appreciated!

She has two master's degrees: one in psychology and one in theology. She combines these two areas of expertise to teach people how to live their best lives. Her teachings use the Bible as the foundation while applying psychological principles to help her clients figure out better ways to do things.

One of the most compelling points that Shirley makes during this conversation is the importance of balancing healthy routines with shaking things up. For example, she points out that it's great to have a regular routine for when you'll exercise -- but that doesn't mean you should do the same exercises every time, because shaking things up will have better results. Applying this combination of certainty and variety to your whole life is a great way to find lasting fulfillment.

This ties into stepping outside of your comfort zone. After all, as you'll hear in the interview, "if you never allow yourself to get into deep water, you will never know how tall you actually are." Putting yourself in uncomfortable situations helps to create brain plasticity and create new neural pathways.

Shirley also shares her mantra: "I'm not going down like that." Once you've heard her explain how she has applied this concept to a couple of health issues she's had, I hope you'll be similarly inspired to take charge of your life and health.

So shake things up, don't let yourself fall into routines, and listen to the full episode to learn how you can achieve ageless energy!

Show Notes

[02:03] - Shirley starts things off by telling us a bit about herself and her life path. She also shares what her current mission is and mentions her project, the Brick House.

[03:57] - Is there a way to get in touch with the Brick House? Yes, by email (godsfavoredministries@gmail.com) or Facebook. The website is still a work in progress.

[04:12] - Dr. George and Shirley discuss the similarities in their paths, with Shirley emphasizing the fact that they're both inherently teachers.

[06:09] - What are some of the things Shirley does to help people think differently, and some of the best tips she's seen to help people overcome self-worth challenges?

[07:26] - Dr. George asks for an example of ways to peel things back and gently show people the habitual cycles they're in. In response, Shirley brings up the example of comfort eating.

[09:04] - Dr. George has always heard that humans have six core needs, and we all need to have at least two fulfilled to feel satisfied.

[10:21] - Of the four core needs that Dr. George has listed (certainty, variety, significance, and connection/love), Shirley discusses the two that she thinks are the most common.

[11:53] - Shirley shares her mantra, and explains what it means to her, specifically in relation to health problems she has experienced.

[14:38] - "Little hinges swing big doors," Dr. George points out. Shirley then talks about using food and drink as a medicine.

[16:19] - Shirley discusses helping people find the bigger "why" in their lives, which she often does by asking them how they saw themselves and imagined the future as a young child. Her own bigger "why" is to teach people, she reveals.

[18:35] - Shirley points out that "leaders are readers," which she attributes to Zig Zigler. She then discusses the relation between science and religion, which she doesn't see as being at odds; the more she learns about science, the more she realizes that God has to exist.

[20:16] - Dr. George discusses God's time as opposed to our time. He then mentions an Ageless Energy event coming up on October 21st. To get in for free, subscribe to the podcast and leave an honest review. Dr. George provides the details here.

[21:51] - Shirley offers some parting words "routine is a killer." She suggests that you challenge yourself to something new every day and figure out what you're made of. Dr. George then ties this back into the concept of Ageless Energy.

007: The Ageless Power of Music with Chris Scappatura 007: The Ageless Power of Music with Chris Scappatura Tue, 23 May 2017 07:00:00 +0000 Chris Scappatura is a remarkable guy who has a background in everything from a cappella music to sales to professional speaking to sales and much, much more.

While he only touches on it in this conversation, Chris is an expert in the dental industry, which he's been involved in for over 20 years. At this point, he has spoken at every major dental convention at least once, and at many multiple times. He has also been involved with sales and marketing, and is an experienced coach in both fields.

All that aside, Chris readily admits that he has the most fun when he's singing. He's a member of the quartet Supertonic!, and has been known to rehearse all the way through the night with them until it's time to go out to breakfast the next day. The group is getting ready for their second album, and plans to tour Germany in the fall.

In our conversation, Chris shares what exactly makes singing so magical for him. He even talks about it pausing time in a way, which of course directly ties into the concept of ageless energy. He's particularly enthusiastic about tags, which he describes in a way that makes them sound almost magically potent and powerful. And, while he doesn't sing any tags on the show (because he would need three other people), he offers to give a bit of coaching in singing to anyone who shows up to a Catchcire Coaching event where he's present.

As you'll hear, our conversation then shifts to the subject of physical health. Chris had a bit of a health scare that has led him to drastically change his diet and lifestyle, and he explains the sorts of physical changes he's seen from making this shift. We end the episode with him sharing some incredibly powerful advice about not taking our time here for granted.

Listen in to hear all of Chris' great advice, and maybe even catch the singing bug!

[01:52] - What does Chris think the highlights about him that people should know are?

[03:18] - Chris explains more about the role that singing has in his life, sharing how he got interested in doing it and discussing the importance of immersion.

[06:53] - Dr. George draws out several threads of what Chris has been saying, tying it back to the concept of ageless energy.

[08:16] - We learn that Chris' quartet focuses on barbershop harmonies. He then talks about tags, describing what they are and how the quartet uses them.

[11:13] - Dr. George compares the experience of standing and talking for eight hours at a trade show (which can be tough) with that of singing for the same length of time, which feels easy.

[12:15] - Unfortunately, Chris can't sing a tag on the show because he needs three other people to join him. He then enthuses about tags again, uncovering other facets of how compelling they are.

[15:45] - Chris has been happily married for years (sorry, fans!). His quartet is called Supertonic!, and you can see their upcoming events on their website. He also offers to coach anybody briefly in singing at any Catchfire Coaching event he's at.

[17:55] - Dr. George shares the details of the next such event: June 9th in Southlake, TX. For more details, email info@catchfirecoaching.com! He also reveals how to go to the event for free instead of paying several hundred dollars for admission (listen to the podcast to find out how!).

[19:23] - We learn that Chris had a health scare, where his cholesterol and iron were so extremely high that he was sent to the hospital to check for organ damage. He reveals that this led him to make a decision to change his food consumption.

[22:40] - Chris hasn't had red meat since February, opting for fish instead.

[23:14] - What changes has Chris noticed (other than lab results) since his changes to his lifestyle and diet?

[26:30] - Chris offers listeners some advice: don't wait for a wake-up call when it comes to your health, but rather make changes now. He then takes a moment to honor a friend of his who recently passed away, and emphasizes the importance of not taking tomorrow for granted.

006: Why Early Detection is More Than Breast Health 006: Why Early Detection is More Than Breast Health Tue, 16 May 2017 07:00:00 +0000 Today, is awesome because I have a special guest who not only treats me and my family, but many other people that I've known over the last 20 years. Dr. Daniel Beilin is an O.M.D. and a scientist who has done incredible research. Dr. Beilin does work that I believe in, and everyone from a patient to a healer should look into his incredible work.

When Dr. Beilin was in 8th grade, he wanted to be a neurophysiologist because he knew he liked studying the brain. This desire has taken him to where he is now. He consults with patients to help find strategies to treat disease and dysfunction through dietary modifications. He also uses scan-analysis through computer regulation thermography to treat patients. He believes in healing through science and nature.

Dr. Beilin explains how his state of the art testing can identify physiological dysfunction very early in the disease process. He talks about how he didn't invent the technology, but he understands how to use it and how to prevent the likelihood of the disease that these tests can predict. Stay tuned to find out about Dr. Beilin's research, testing, and practice, and how it helped me personally, and many others as well.

[01:53] Dr. Bielen introduces himself and his background.
[02:10] Dr. Bielen talks about how he didn't create the technology he uses, he found it in Germany and the science is based on data from 1000s of patients.
[03:00] The testing procedure consists of taking the skin temperature and then subjecting the skin to cool air and measuring the change in the internal organs. This is a noninvasive way to measure organ function and inflammation markers.
[04:16] this test is for predicting inflammation and the potential for cancer.
[05:10] Inflammation impacts the organ systems and there are related co-infections that can go into the brain. Which means that brain diseases like Alzheimer's are also related to infection.
[06:10] This test has a "signature recognition" that differentiates between infection and toxins.
[07:14] If a disease is present the temperature won't decrease like it normally would.
[07:44] Computer assisted diagnostics is the future of radiology.
[08:26] How these scans can help pinpoint the area that actually needs to be tested to treat the condition. Such as thyroid and autoimmune issues.
[10:30] AlphaSight 9000 is the tool Dr. Bielin uses, and it provides as much information as an MRI.
[10:59] How Dr. George worked with Dr. Bielin to find out that he had a thyroid issue. No other doctor was doing anything like this or knew how to treat the issue.
[12:11] Exercise turns on anti-aging mechanisms. Knowing the processes before we get the disease is the time to reverse that disease.

[14:25] How we need to find doctors that look at all of our systems as a whole.

[15:03] Scanning thermography will let doctors know what questions they need to ask the patient.

[16:50] How the AlphaSight 9000 can predict concussions and how the brain is utilizing oxygen and the brain's vascular health.

[18:00] There are about 150 doctors using the AlphaSight 9000. You can find one by emailing info@alpha.global or Dr. George at Info@CatchFireCoaching.com

[19:05] Low-grade viruses can be in the lymph system. To treat limit dairy, decrease protein, take elderberry, or lysine to support the immune system. Ketogenic diet for the immune system.

[23:15] How modern medicine won't get you where you want to get without finding someone to take a holistic alternative medicine approach.

[24:43] How the Alpha System can show that a tumor is dying or cysts on the liver.

005: Why God? 005: Why God? Tue, 09 May 2017 07:00:00 +0000 Today's guest is my long-time friend and client, Dr. Neema Randall from Manassas, Virginia. Dr. Randall is an incredibly accomplished (and busy!) woman who juggles being a physician, a business owner, and a mother of twins.

Dr. Randall and her husband share a mission in both their personal and professional lives: helping people create their vision for their lives and live out their dreams. Everything they do together surrounds that mission, which has become part of their purpose and identity as husband and wife.

As part of this mission, Dr. Randall is in the process of crafting an online course called "Love, Health, and Happiness" that will help people learn how to create these things in their lives and shape the life they're destined to live.

Our conversation today revolves around the three pillars of truly ageless energy: mind, body, and spirit. We discuss each of these aspects in depth, with Dr. Randall offering her thoughts, tips, and insights for each one.

We start by talking about the mind, with Dr. Randall providing tips on how to stay mentally grounded and refreshed, and how to avoid feeding the monster in your head that tells you that you can't or shouldn't do things.

Next, we move onto the body, for which Dr. Randall recommends exercise. It's important to note that this isn't just about hardcore exercise or losing weight, but rather about moving in any way. This helps you stay connected with your body and reconnect with nature. Instead of signing up for the gym, try stretching or taking a walk outside and filling your lungs with fresh air.

Finally, we talk about spirit. As we discuss, this is about the intention of connecting with something higher with you and plugging in with your spiritual source, whether you call it God, spirit, the universe, or something else entirely. This is something you can achieve through meditation, prayer, and living consciously and purposefully.

But that's just the overview! Listen in for much more of Dr. Randall's insight into how to achieve ageless energy in mind, body, and spirit.

004: Key to Sleep 004: Key to Sleep Tue, 02 May 2017 07:00:00 +0000 I have a very special guest today: my long-time friend, colleague, and a true inspiration, Dale Ann Springer. I met her way back when at a National Speaker Association Conference where she was looking for a chiropractor. Since then, we've gotten to do some incredible things together, including public speaking, attending conferences, and even some research.

About ten years ago, Dale Ann shattered her leg, which left her in too much pain to sleep. That was the inspiration that led to the development of the Master Key, which is the device she's here to talk about today!

Let me give you a brief overview before the show begins in case you haven't already heard of this groundbreaking technology. The Master Key is a headset that takes guided meditations and adds binaural beats and blue light frequency technology. This combination allows for deep relaxation that allows you to feel as energized as if you'd had a nap for several hours, but takes only a few minutes. It's also effective as a sleep aid.

Now, if you've heard of blue light and associate it with device screens, it's important to clarify that these things are not the same. In fact, It was only in the last few years that it was discovered that we have blue light receptors in our eyes. This kind of light offers a calming effect, and even airlines are taking advantage of this by changing out the cabin lights for blue light.

Dale Ann explains this and much more in great detail, exploring how the Master Key can lead to rejuvenation, refreshing rest, and that all-important ageless energy. While it's a shame her husband Bruce couldn't join us, I look forward to introducing you to Dale Ann and all that the Master Key has to offer!

[10:01] - We hear about how the device's four programs can be used to put you to sleep or bring you back to wide awake.

[12:20] - Dale Ann explains the equipment itself in more detail.

[18:38] - If you come to an Ageless Energy experience, you'll be able to try the Master Key and experience itself for no charge. You can get two free tickets to the event by subscribing to the Ageless Energy podcast (you'll also get the Ageless Energy Adult Coloring Book).

003: The Keys to Energy 003: The Keys to Energy Mon, 24 Apr 2017 22:29:42 +0000 A lot of businesses are setting up opportunities for team members to adopt a healthier lifestyle.  Investing in this area allows businesses to save thousands of dollars.  Implementing these programs requires energy, and in this episode of Ageless Energy Podcast, we look at the different types of energy.

One key to energy is eating fresh foods that have an energy and aura to it.  I explain the role food has in our energy and our growth and development.  I encourage you to take your focus away from food and track your food intake to see how it impacts your energy.

You will also hear what things in life can cause stress and eliminate energy.  I'd encourage you to identify the things that sabotage your ageless energy.  Then, through the information you gain from guests and me in upcoming episodes of this podcast, you can gain that energy back.

002: Identifying and Minimizing Energy Flares and Disruptions 002: Identifying and Minimizing Energy Flares and Disruptions Mon, 24 Apr 2017 22:25:47 +0000 Today we'll be exploring the concept of energy flares, energy disruptions, and energy eruptions, which are basically anything that gets in the way of increasing your energy. These are very different from person to person, so it's important to figure out what yours are so you can act accordingly. For example, thanks to my mom's playing, I can sleep to the sound of harp music -- but for someone else, this might be disruptive.

Other common causes of energy disruptions are things like too much noise and an overstimulation of sound. This can take many forms such as barking dogs, loud kids, or even airplanes. Allergies are another common energy disruption. Being around too many people can be as well (though, again, this depends on the person). Often, our energy disruptions change and we become more sensitive as we get older.

As you work toward figuring out your own sources of energy disruptions, it's important that you think very specifically about your own experiences instead of just basing your responses on common ones. Keep in mind that some people need more stimulation to feel alive, with the extreme example being adrenaline junkies. Your own need for stimulation is very personal and may not conform to common causes of energy flares and disruptions.

In this episode, you'll learn more about how to find your own energy flares. I'll also give advice on how to take the best care of your body, which involves treating it well before it starts to show symptoms! There's also a quiz with a prize: a copy of the Ageless Energy Adult Coloring Book. In future episodes, we'll have guests, more opportunities, and great contests, so keep listening!
