I made this design after a charcoal drawing I made of a live model on the Realisme Amsterdam art expo. The Wackers Academy gave a workshop, while visitors of the expo where watching over our shoulder. I saw a student there, that had never ever drawn a live model before. Very brave then, to expose yourself to the public like that!
It was a very nice workshop though, and a very nice exhibition. If you get the chance to go there next year, just do it!
I like this cover, but for a real tiny shop thumb, it’s just too dark. So I’ll suppose I’ll change this one sooner or later.
Since the book covers are so tiny on some of the shops, this kind of detail doesn’t really work. It’s just a blurr in some of the stores.
The drawing is of the American artist Thomas M. Overton. He made this a couple of years ago specially for me – check the initials.
This is a hand made water color that I scanned in, but in PS Touch – oh, I love it! – I added the lower leg.
