]]>22 LEGO® fan communities come together to celebrate 20 years of the LEGO Icons Modular Building Collection
In 2027, the LEGO Icons Modular Building Collection will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
To mark this milestone, 22 Recognized LEGO Fan Communities from around the world are taking on an extraordinary challenge of recreating iconic LEGO Modular Buildings at approximately four times their original scale.
Together, the communities will use millions of LEGO elements to bring a collection of giant Modular Buildings to life, with the creations eventually coming together at events and exhibitions around the world.
The participating communities represent a truly global collaboration, spanning North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
The LEGO Fan Communities Taking Part:
United States
• BuffaLUG
• Charm City LUG
• ColonialLUG
• Houston Brick Club
• IdahoLUG
• Lincoln Omaha LEGO User Group
• LUGVegas
• Western Michigan LEGO User Group

Australia
• Bendigo LEGO User Group
• Canberra LEGO User Group
• MUGs
• SYDLUG
Denmark
Germany
France
United Kingdom
Japan
Each community will be responsible for designing, engineering and constructing its own Modular Building. While the communities will work within shared standards to ensure that when the buildings can come together, they create a cohesive collection, each group will have significant creative freedom to determine how its building comes to life, while maintaining the overall exterior DNA of these iconic buildings.
And this won’t be a small undertaking.
Most communities will work with approximately 500,000 LEGO elements, while two of the largest builds will use approximately 750,000 elements. Across the project, that represents approximately 11.5 million LEGO elements.
Throughout 2027 and into 2028, we hope to see the modulars appearing at major LEGO fan events and public exhibitions around the world. Where opportunities allow, multiple buildings will come together to create even larger displays and celebrate the scale of what these 22 communities have accomplished together.
Building at this scale is going to take time, creativity, problem solving and a lot of LEGO elements. But most importantly, it will take communities coming together.
Over the coming months, we hope you will follow these communities as they take on the challenge. Watch their designs develop, see the builds take shape, celebrate their progress and discover the stories they choose to tell.
Where opportunities arise, we encourage LEGO fans to visit the events where these Modulars are displayed, meet the communities behind them and experience the builds for themselves.
And if you are part of the wider LEGO fan community, get involved where you can. Share their progress, cheer them on, ask questions, celebrate the milestones and help us recognize the incredible work happening in communities around the world.
This is a celebration of 20 years of Modulars, but it is also a celebration of the people who have built, displayed, talked about and been inspired by them over the past two decades.
Follow the communities, follow the builds, and help us celebrate Modulars Around the World.
22 communities. 22 Modulars. 11.5 million LEGO elements. One global celebration.

]]>Pieces: 4711 | Price: £269.99 / $349.99 / 299.99€ | Available: Oct 1st (Insiders) Oct 4th (General)
LEGO® Ideas model recreates the iconic Downton Abbey, rich with flourishes and complete with 13 Minifigures
4,711-piece build spans the fabulous upstairs and below stairs, from the grand dining room, main hall and library to the kitchen, Mr. Carson’s office and servants’ hall
Available for LEGO Insiders Early Access from 1 October 2026 and for all from 4 October 2026
BILLUND, DENMARK, 10 SEPTEMBER 2026: Today, the LEGO Group unveils the LEGO® Ideas Downton Abbey (21373), a spectacular 4,711-piece building set designed for adult fans. Inspired by the beloved TV series and movies created by Carnival Films, the richly detailed model of Downton Abbey based on the real-life Highclere Castle invites builders to answer the bell, cross the threshold, and step into a world of sweeping architecture and secrets tucked behind every door.
The set pays tribute to the award-winning franchise, allowing fans to explore the distinct division of life “upstairs” and “downstairs” in a stately Edwardian home. As the Dowager Countess herself famously asked, “What is a ‘weekend’?” For fans, it is now the perfect occasion to settle in, take tea and construct this magnificent display piece steeped in Downton Abbey detail.
The set’s modular design allows builders to lift off the top level to explore the bustling kitchen, servants’ hall, and Mr. Carson’s office below, before ascending to the grand dining room, main hall, and library. From the ornate exterior architecture and the towering cedar tree to the intricate interior details, the set serves as an elegant home or office decor piece, befitting even the stateliest spaces.
Authenticity is at the heart of this set, capturing a fascinating era of historical transition when candlelight still flickered beside the first glow of electricity. Builders will discover authentic period details, including a mix of lighting sources, an early electric mixer in the kitchen, and a 1910s–1920s candlestick telephone in Mr. Carson’s office. The set also includes historical portraits, dining etiquette layouts, and a servants’ hall dining table arranged strictly by rank.
The set includes 13 detailed Minifigures representing the iconic Season 6 household: The Dowager Countess, Lord Grantham, Lady Grantham, Lady Mary, Lady Edith, Tom Branson, Mr. Carson, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Bates, Anna Bates, Thomas Barrow, Mrs. Patmore and Daisy Parker. Each minifigure features double-sided face prints, and additional clothing elements specifically designed for seated positions at the dining table.
The LEGO Ideas Downton Abbey product idea was originally submitted by Czech Fan Designer Sebastian Veselka (LEGO Ideas name: BRO3) as part of the LEGO Ideas crowdsourcing platform. LEGO Ideas invites fans to submit product ideas, which are then voted on by the community before being considered for production as official LEGO sets.
Sebastian Veselka comments: “Rebuilding Downton Abbey as a LEGO set felt like the perfect way to celebrate the series in a personal way, bringing together my love of British architecture, my memories of watching the show with my family, and the atmosphere of the 1920s. Seeing the project reach 10,000 supporters in just three months was incredible. I’m so grateful to everyone who supported it and can’t wait for fans to travel back in time and step inside the Crawley family’s iconic home in LEGO brick form.”
The building experience is filled with society secrets and below-stairs discoveries, including easter eggs referencing Sebastian Veselka. Builders can search for the servants’ bell board featuring a playful “LEGO room” label, newspapers bearing the fan designer’s initials (SV), and a heart-shaped tree base nodding to the series’ romantic scenes.
LEGO Ideas Downton Abbey (21373) is available for LEGO Insiders from 1 October 2026 and for all customers from 4 October 2026, priced at £269.99 / €299.99 / $349.99. Discover more and purchase at LEGO.com/DowntonAbbey or visit your nearest LEGO Store.

]]>Several minifigure versions of Frankenstein’s Monster have been released, but this latest version is a little more unique. It doesn’t use the usual flat headpiece, which makes it look a little odd. Despite the difference with the head, the rest of the character includes the usual traits associated with the character. This includes tatty clothes, complete with sweet-filled pockets, and dual-moulded legs.
Similar to Frankenstein’s Monster, there have been a couple of wolf-themed minifigures, and this one uses a recoloured version of the Wolf Costume character featured in the costume-themed Series 23 Collectable Minifigures. This time, the head is brown and is paired with a furry suit featuring pockets filled with Halloween sweets.
Zombies are always popular, and the latest is a Zombie Girl. It has a similar red-eyed expression as past versions, which is generic enough should you wish to use it to craft your own zombie hordes. The torso is great, but it’s a shame there’s no print detail on the sloped base of the character.
The current Halloween wave of Build a Minifigure characters is available now in LEGO Stores and selected Certified LEGO Stores. Thanks to Robin for grabbing these for me.

LEGO NINJAGO will host a fan celebration event on September 18, featuring a special appearance by FUTURA in Seoul, Korea, and the world premiere of LEGO NINJAGO: Legends DuskFall, the brand’s first-ever anime stories
NEW YORK CITY, USA, 08 SEPTEMBER 2026: Today, the LEGO Group takes the next exciting step in celebrating the 15th anniversary of LEGO® NINJAGO with the announcement of a new creative partnership with legendary artist FUTURA, naming him as an official creative collaborator and artistic co-creator to the brand. To celebrate the partnership, they unveiled the ‘Ninja of the Futura’ and two other custom designed, hand-embellished minifigure artworks and exclusive event giveaway merchandise at an event held at the Brooklyn Museum, offering an exciting first glimpse into the collaboration.
This first creative exploration sees FUTURA re-imagine the NINJAGO universe through his own artistic lens, giving fans a unique new perspective on the world they know and love. Through this new partnership, FUTURA will bring his distinctive artistic style to the universe of NINJAGO Legends and aims to inspire new characters and storylines.
The ‘Ninja of the Futura’ art piece unites the iconic LEGO minifigure, design inspiration from the LEGO NINJAGO universe and FUTURA’s signature style, channelling his iconic Pointman artworks and personalized graphics into a bold reinterpretation of the NINJAGO universe. The piece re-imagines a NINJAGO hero through FUTURA’s unique artistic lens, bringing together these two powerful creative worlds into a striking never-before-seen interpretation, highlighting the potential for creative exploration and inspiration for the NINJAGO Legends.
