Antelope Valley Showcase Chorus Celebrates Winter with Palmdale Chamber of Commerce!

A small group of the Antelope Valley Chorus membership had a wonderful time entertaining during the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce luncheon yesterday.

Prior to the beginning of the last meeting of the Palmdale Chamber for 2015 at the Antelope Valley Country Club, the walls were filled with the sounds of sweet harmony as members of the chorus entertained the early birds with songs like Winter Wonderland, Jingle Bell Jazz and many more.

With a few remaining performances for the year the chorus is looking forward to 2016 and bringing in new members, new music and spreading harmony through the valley and beyond!

Sweet Serenade at Summer Sizzler

Antelope Valley Showcase Chorus was thrilled to be represented during the 2015 Summer Sizzler this past weekend during the Novice Quartet contest by Sweet Serenade!

Each summer Sweet Adelines from Region 11 gather together for education and singing. This includes guest faculty and an opportunity for novice quartets to compete (either be considering competing in the spring or just want to have the experience of singing together and get some great feedback). The latter comes in the form of a contest held on Friday evening. One lucky participant is the recipient of a "quartet make-over" where they are treated to breakfast with our regional champion quartet and coaching - culminating with a guest appearance on the "Winners Circle" show Saturday evening.

Sweet Serenade, Kim Alley, Cindy Reilly, Sabrina McClinton and Karen Morrison, did just that when they took third in the contest and chose to take advantage of the coaching opportunity.

AV Nice And AV Showcase Chorus - Nice!

Last Thursday the chorus had the opportunity to share some of our upcoming events with Chris Spicher of Antelope Valley Florists and AV Nice during the radio spot Minding Your Business with the Lancaster Chamber.

Riser Placement for Workshop

Hi all,

Trying to keep the music and the energy moving forward and knowing that there will be a lot to do on Friday night - I've simplified the riser positions for both groups.

If you were on the floor for Sweet Dreams I believe I've kept you on the floor. The members that have the furthest to move are those that are playing the cups in the opening number. PLEASE look at your riser positions here
