Like most Israelis, Puder is convinced that a military solution is the only way. Since the advent of Sharon 30 odd years ago, this belief has undermined and weakened Israel, and continues to do so.
Time, demographics, the surrounding environment, Israels increasing isolation are factors Israelis disregard at their peril.
A military deterrence for self defence is vital, but using it as a political tool is disastrous. Israel today is more hated in the Arab world than ever before. Israel reacts to this rage with arrogance and violence, refusing to climb down from its high horse, as well as put its greed aside.
With each misadventure Israel fast forwards the CIA's prediction of a likely one state solution.

Hamas is following the advice of an obscure 18th century Prussian General-cum-Philosopher who said, "War is merely a continuation of politics by other means".

it will be extremely difficult to destroy Hamas completely, especially with such weak and neutered leadership in Jerusalem have decided that toppling Hamas is not their plan according to Lieberman today.
Israel on this 3rd day of the war is still fighting the loser Ehud Barak's restrained war which will fail.
The weak and fearful leaders and people who hitched Israel's wagon to the failed US peace trap are in for some serious pain and suffering.
Hamas, Egypt and the rest see a retreating, capitulating, appeasing Israel as weak and ready for the kill and that makes a restrained Israel too stupid to defeat Hamas in grave 'Sampson Option' danger.

We have become soft and neutered and are tired of war and can't even defeat Hamas.
Appeasement and retreat is what we do best now.
We decided to listen to our pimps of no peace instead of finishing of Hezbollah in 2006 and did the same again in 2009 by retreating from Gaza before finishing off Hamas. We don't have the green light from our god of the Potomac to win anymore , so please don't test us.
