Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina Announces Kelly D. Webb as Vice President of Development & External Affairs
SANFORD, N.C. — June 2026 — Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina (BGCCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly D. Webb as its new Vice President of Development & External Affairs (Chief Development Officer).
This newly created executive leadership position reflects BGCCC’s commitment to strengthening philanthropic investment, expanding strategic partnerships, and building the infrastructure necessary to support sustainable growth and greater impact for youth across Lee, Chatham, and Harnett Counties.
Webb brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in resource development, external affairs, strategic partnerships, and communications for mission-driven organizations dedicated to improving outcomes for young people and communities.
Most recently, Webb served as Vice President of External Affairs for Communities In Schools of North Carolina, where she led a comprehensive statewide strategy integrating fundraising, communications, and partnership development. Under her leadership, the organization achieved a 455% increase in revenue over four years while expanding statewide visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Her career also includes leadership roles with Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County and Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix. Throughout her tenure with the Boys & Girls Club Movement, Webb successfully expanded grant funding, secured transformational philanthropic investments, led major capital campaign efforts, and cultivated innovative partnerships that strengthened organizational sustainability and expanded opportunities for young people.
“Kelly’s appointment represents a significant investment in our future,” said Dr. Fallon McIver Brewington, Chief Executive Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina.
“We are building an organization that is positioned for long-term impact, one that can meet the growing needs of youth, families, and communities across our region. Kelly brings the strategic vision, relationship-building expertise, and proven results necessary to help us scale our mission and deepen our impact. Her leadership will play a critical role as we continue expanding opportunities for young people and strengthening the support systems that help them thrive.”
As Vice President of Development & External Affairs, Webb will oversee all fundraising and external engagement efforts, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation and government grants, communications, marketing, and community relations. She will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, staff, and community stakeholders to advance BGCCC’s mission and long-term strategic priorities.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina Launches Free Summer Meals Program Across Lee, Chatham, and Harnett Counties
SANFORD, NC — Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina to kick off the 2026 Summer Meals Program, which provides free, nutritious meals to all children and teens ages 18 and under at open sites across Lee, Harnett, and Chatham Counties.
In partnership with the NC Department of Public Instruction and No Kid Hungry North Carolina, the Clubs are working to connect more youth to this essential summer nutrition program by raising awareness and increasing accessibility for families across the region.
“Summer should be a time of fun, learning, and connection—not hunger,” said Dr. Fallon Brewington, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina. “Our summer meals program provides dependable access to healthy meals for kids who rely on school-year nutrition.”

Sanford, NC – Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina is proud to announce the appointment of Jason Macchia as the new Unit Director of the OT Sloan Park Clubhouse in Sanford, North Carolina.
Jason brings more than two decades of experience in youth development and nonprofit leadership to the role, along with a deep-rooted passion for the Boys & Girls Club mission. His career began at the Burroughs Community Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he served as Assistant Executive Director. In that role, he partnered with Wakeman Boys & Girls Club to launch a Club branch in an underserved neighborhood and later became the Program Director for the site.
“Jason is a seasoned leader whose dedication to youth, operational excellence, and community engagement is unmatched,” said Dr. Fallon Brewington, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the OT Sloan Park team and look forward to the impact his leadership will have on our members and families.”
“I’m excited to join the team,” said Macchia, “and look forward to the opportunity to have a positive impact on the youth of this community. We have a dedicated staff and great kids, and I look forward to doing great things with them at the OT Sloan Club.”
In 2010, construction began on a new stand-alone Boys & Girls Club on the community center’s grounds. Jason played a pivotal role in the planning and outfitting of the facility and was selected as the first Unit Director when the new clubhouse opened its doors in 2011.
In 2017, Jason relocated to Paris, Texas, where he served as Chief Executive Officer for the Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley, overseeing programs and services across Lamar and Red River Counties. Most recently, in March 2025, Jason moved to North Carolina to take on his next leadership opportunity with Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina.
“We’re excited to welcome Jason to the Sanford Club. He brings deep experience from his work with Boys & Girls Clubs in other communities, and we’re glad he’s chosen to lead here. With such a dedicated team already in place, this is a great opportunity to refocus and keep building on the strong work already being done for our kids” said Kyle Shipp, Board Chair, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina.
When he’s not at the Club, Jason enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two daughters.
