In flight testing, the kit lowered cabin noise by an average of 3.1 dB(SIL) from forward cabin to aft cabin.

With this approval, Canadian operators, MROs and completion centers can now install the kit on the Canadian-built Challenger. FAA and EASA operators have been approved since 2022.

Skandia engineered and tested the kit in-house using its own acoustic materials. A 3.1-dB reduction roughly halves cabin sound energy, with minimal added weight.

The kit is offered as an à la carte menu, so each operator can pick the treatments that fit their aircraft, budget and maintenance schedule. The options are:

Skin damping

Floor damping and carpet pad

Thermal acoustic insulation bags

Overframe blanket.

The kit is turnkey and ships with installation schematics and instructions. Skandia can also measure noise in an operator’s own cabin during a flight and recommend which materials will be most effective.

“With Transport Canada approval, operators in the Challenger’s home market now have access to the same proven cabin-noise reduction that FAA and EASA operators have had since 2022," says Manny Valtierra, Site Manager at Skandia. "Our à la carte approach means every operator can build the right solution for their aircraft and their passengers.”

The Challenger 600 series kit joins Skandia’s soundproofing systems for more than 80 aircraft models. The range covers turboprops, such as the King Air 200 and Pilatus PC-12, as well as large-cabin jets. Skandia also offers acoustic consultation and custom solutions for aircraft of any size.

NBAA-BACE attendees can learn more about the kit at Booth #2025 in the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall.

The latest addition to Web Manuals’ Amelia AI suite, Amelia Compliance Assistant uses reasoning AI to help operators find and understand regulatory information. Users can ask questions in plain language and receive answers based on their Compliance Libraries, with clear references to the source. Customers can then directly review the relevant regulation and link it to their documentation, making it easier to put information into practice.

FAA DCTs have also been added to help U.S. operators prepare for FAA assessments. Users can connect DCT questions directly to their manuals, quickly identify where information may be missing, and prepare supporting evidence in advance, reducing the time involved in assessment preparation.

More broadly, a streamlined interface gives teams a clearer view of regulatory changes, how they relate to their manuals, and who is responsible for them. Tasks can be assigned alongside each regulation, helping users keep track of what needs to be done and reducing manual work.

Richard Sandström, chief product officer and founder, Web Manuals, says, "Web Manuals was founded on the belief that aviation safety should be simple and accessible, and our Compliance Libraries are central to that mission. As our customers’ needs evolve, we continue to look for ways to make managing compliance simpler, faster and more intuitive.

“Today’s unveiling marks the next step in our journey. Shaped by direct user feedback, we’ve enhanced the experience to make regulations easier to navigate and manage, while our new Amelia AI functionality provides greater clarity and confidence throughout the compliance process. The result is a smarter, more streamlined way of working that reflects the realities of aviation compliance today.”

The enhanced Compliance Libraries are now available to customers. Attendees at NBAA-BACE can see the function in action at Web Manuals’ booth (#2457), where the team will be offering live demonstrations.

The collaboration combines Airmont's StreamTime technology with DPI Labs' cabin-entertainment infrastructure to bring seamless live television into the business-aviation passenger experience.

At the core of the integration, the Airmont Gateway operates as a virtual machine hosted directly within DPI Labs' Multimedia and Moving Map Server, eliminating the need for a separate physical gateway. The MMS can support more than 100 simultaneous passenger streams. Airmont's proprietary live TV streaming technology, StreamTime, transports and optimizes live television streams over the aircraft's available connectivity, making efficient use of bandwidth and helping operators manage connectivity costs. The solution operates seamless on Eutelsat’s Oneweb constellation, used by Gogo Galileo system. The Airmont Player application runs on an aviation-grade Apple TV provided by DPI Labs, while passengers can access and control the TV experience using an iPad by scanning a QR code.

As onboard connectivity continues to evolve, business-aviation passengers increasingly expect access to live news, entertainment and major events, just as they do on the ground. This integration enables operators to meet these expectations by adding live television to the cabin-entertainment experience while making better use of their existing onboard connectivity.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to making advanced live-TV technology easier to integrate into business aviation,” says Jean-François Gault, CEO of Airmont. “Working with DPI Labs allows us to combine our respective expertise and offer operators new possibilities to enhance the passenger experience. It is an important step in expanding the reach of our technology across established avionics platforms.”

“Our Multimedia and Moving Map Server was designed to serve multiple passenger needs on a single platform, from cabin control through personal devices and FlightPath3D moving maps to onboard entertainment content storage,” says Martin Hamilton, VP of Business Development, Sales and Marketing at DPI Labs. “Hosting Airmont’s live TV gateway adds another highly desired capability to that same server, eliminating the need for a separate gateway box. This deployment shows how the MMS can enhance the passenger experience while keeping the onboard hardware footprint simple and compact.”
