A few years ago I was asked – and very privileged – to do a photoshoot for a school’s centenarian book.  The school gave me a few products to photograph that they felt was very valuable to the school and its rich tradition.  They wanted the photographs on a white background for the printers to re-arrange it more easily into the book without a disturbing background.  I had to take some of the products to my studio, so I could easily photograph them without a busy background. Unfortunately I couldn’t take everything to my studio because of the value of some of the products, so I had to work my magic to put that items on a pure white background.

From behind the lens to the magic of photoshop capturing the essence of each item was a joy. Product photography is no easy task, but seeing the clients delight as they admired the final images made every pixel perfected worth it.

Due to the privacy and respect I have for the school, I decided to only put up a few of the products I took photos off.

If you ever wanted to know what defines love, the Bible says in the scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4-a

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it it’s not arrogant or rude.  It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.

I was fortunate to feel the presence of love between this couple I photograph.  They are absolutely beautiful people and I could feel the love they had for each other.  We had the most perfect day for this photo session and one of my favourite engagement photo sessions yet.  Take a look at the photos and judge for yourself.  Perfect couple indeed.

This family is near and dear to my heart.  It was not the first time (or second) they were in front of my lens, and what a special family they are!  I took the photos at their family home’s beautiful garden and it came out beautifully.  It is always special for me when families invite me back to capture memories that will last forever.  One must never wait until “the right time” to have photos taken, because you don’t know what life will throw at you.

Lombard Wedding Photography

I had the great privilege to photograph this beautiful wedding of Hannes and Marieke.  The weather turned very bad on us and it was raining (pouring) the whole wedding through, but hey, what do they say about rain on a wedding day?! Otherwise it was a perfect wedding with love, laughter.  I want to wish them all the love and happiness they so deserve.

Wow! This was such a special shoot! Linda turned 70 and decided to have a photoshoot done.  Her children are from all over the world, and it was the first time they were all together.  Some of the grandchildren met their cousins for the first time, so this was really a special occasion.  We went to a very beautiful venue, the weather turned out great and I am very pleased with the photos I got.  I went to Linda a while later, and it was so nice to see my photos hanging on the wall.  Hope to see them again soon!

Meet the Coetzer family.  I met their little girls when they were little babies.  Their fist shoot with me was for newborns photos.  One year later, I was privileged to have them in front of my camera again.  They are such a beautiful family! I gave the twins each candy, and…well, you guessed it, it was a messy business, but at least they sat still for a while so I could take some pretty pictures of them!  Enjoy the photos!

Meet little Henri.  He came to my studio for his first birthday smash the cake session.  The set up I made was  an Indian theme. He wasn’t very fond of the teepee tent, but when he saw his teddy inside, he was happy to go in.  His parent brought along a cake fit for the theme, and oh boy, did he enjoy smashing it!

At the end, we had dad also involved and both was covered in cake and icing!  He was such a pleasure to work with.  Here, some photos taken on the day.

Matric Farewells are always special.  It marks the end of your school career and it’s always a wonderful celebration.  Abby looked  breathtaking and she is such a beautiful young lady.  The weather turned really bad that day, and there was a massive thunderstorm, so we had to rush with some of the photos, but I still managed to get some memorable photos

It was not the first time this amazing family was in front of my camera.  From newborn shoots to smash the cake and smaller family photos, this family is like family to me!

This time, the grandmother of the family turned 60, and what a wonderful way to celebrate her birthday with a family photo shoot.  Even the great grandmother was present, which made it even more special.  I took this photo shoot at the beautiful Irene Farm Village, and the weather played along perfectly.  I was so honoured to be a part of this family and their special occasion.
