Blaenavon Town Council is delighted to once again be working in partnership with Torfaen Play to bring the FREE Food & Fun Camps to Blaenavon.

Children aged 5–11 years can enjoy a summer of fun-filled activities while receiving free breakfast and lunch each day.

Due to their huge popularity last year, we’re delighted to be bringing our Summer Bike Workshops back for two dates this summer in partnership with Torfaen Health, Sport & Fitness and Fusion Extreme

Whether you’re a complete beginner or already love riding, come along and have a go! We’ll have:

Bikes and helmets provided (or bring your own bike if you prefer!)

Ramps and trick skills sessions

Sports activities

Games

Fun competitions

Plenty of opportunities to get active and have fun!

Coach transport will also be provided, with the coach leaving Blaenavon at 10.30am.

The swimming session is taking place 11am-12pm.

Blaenavon Town Council would like to congratulate our Youth Representatives on delivering a fantastic Family Quiz Night!

The evening was a huge success, bringing together families for a fun-filled night of laughter, friendly competition, fantastic prizes, and a wonderful community atmosphere.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication shown by our Youth Representatives in planning and organising this event. Their efforts helped create a memorable evening enjoyed by all who attended.

A special thank you to Butterflies Steakhouse Munchies Blaenavon Est. 1994 and Chepstow Racecourse for their generous prize donations, which helped make the evening even more enjoyable for our participants.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event and to Blaenavon Constitutional Club.

We look forward to seeing what our Youth Representatives achieve next.

Last week we welcomed lots of children and families to our first FREE Summer Activity Session, delivered in partnership with Fusion Extreme and Torfaen Health, Sport & Fitness, what a brilliant morning it was!

There was something for everyone, including:

Bike skills coaching and confidence building

Fun obstacle courses and challenges

Sports sessions and games

Plank Challenge, where everyone gave it their best effort! A huge congratulations to our overall winner, who held an incredible plank for over 7 minutes – an amazing achievement!

It was fantastic to see so many young people learning new skills, building confidence, staying active and, most importantly, having fun!

It was wonderful to see so many families and friends enjoying the session together. There were lots of smiles, plenty of laughter, and everyone had an amazing time making the most of this free activity during the school holidays.

These sessions are a great way to bring our community together, giving children and families the chance to have fun, stay active, and make lasting summer memories – all at no cost.
