Priyanka’s write up in the magazine was authored by her Baywatch co-star, Dwayne Johnson. “It’s an amazing time to watch as [Priyanka] pierces the U.S. market. She has an ability to inspire people to do more and achieve more,” he wrote.
In the midst of her huge success in Bollywood, Priyanka is currently involved in a number of high-profile Hollywood projects, including the ABC series Quantico (which has been renewed for a second season) and the upcoming film, Baywatch alongside Johnson, Zac Efron and others.

Priyanka isn’t the first Bollywood star to be recognized by TIME magazine. Aamir Khan was named to the TIME 100 in 2013 and Shah Rukh Khan was named one of 20 Asian heroes in 2004.

Acclaimed film Bajirao Mastani also took home three awards: Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Best Director, Tanvi Azmi for Best Supporting Actress and Remo D’Souza for the choreography of Deewani Mastani. The quirky Dum Laga Ke Haisha won the Best Hindi Film award.
“I’m very happy for getting my second National Award after ‘Kabul Express’. National Awards are the only relevant awards left today in the country,” filmmaker Kabir Khan said after Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s win for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

Indian audiences saw a familiar face last night at the 88th Annual Academy Awards. Bollywood actress and star of the ABC drama series Quantico, Priyanka Chopra, presented the award for Best Film Editing alongside actor Liev Schreiber.
Priyanka looked simply dazzling in a white, embellished Zuhair Murad gown and a reported $8 million USD worth of jewels by Lorraine Schwartz. Several U.S. outlets including E! Online and USA Today named the beauty to their Oscars’ best dressed lists.
In fact, Google announced on Monday that Priyanka was the second most searched celebrity in India after Best Actor winner Leonardo DiCaprio.
Seems like Piggy Chops has certainly hit her stride in the Hollywood scene. While her hit series Quantico returns on March 6, she is currently busy gearing up for her Hollywood film debut in Baywatch with none other than Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson.
As a presenter, Priyanka joins the ranks of other Hollywood stars like Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Lady Gaga and more.
“These artists have enriched the international movie going experience with a range of memorable work from the comic to the profound,” Oscars’ producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in a statement.
“In the process, they have won over millions of fans, and we count ourselves among them.”

King Khan is at the top once again. After slipping to No. 3 in 2014, Forbes India named Shah Rukh Khan the top earning celebrity of 2015. Last year’s winner? None other than Salman Khan, who bagged second place on this year’s list.
In partnership with various media and data agencies, Forbes India compiled this coveted list by measuring earnings estimates and fame scores. SRK reportedly made an astonishing Rs 257.5 crore this year – the highest any celebrity has made since the Forbes India Celebrity List 100 was instituted in 2012. The actor will see three major releases within the next seven months: Dilwale, Fan and Raees.
“I had always promised myself that at the age of 50 I will do films for myself…Yes, there will be a commercial film as well, but now I am also going to do the cinema I want to do. So I will do three films a year,” Shah Rukh told Forbes India.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan slipped to No. 3 this year, but comes first in terms of fame with about 17.5 million Twitter followers.
Deepika Padukone, whose next major release Bajirao Mastani will rival SRK’s Dilwale at the box office on December 18, was the only female celebrity to break the top 10.
