PARLIAMENT AND THE INTERNET CONFERENCE
apComms are involved in the annual Parliament and the Internet Conference. This year Confercence took place on 14th October and was held in the Houses of Parliament.

INQUIRY -“Can we keep our hands off the net?”
On April 22nd 2009, apComms launched an inquiry into Internet traffic to assess regulation of ISPs and a range of Internet traffic issues from behavioural advertising and privacy to child abuse images and Internet neutrality to answer what role Government should play when it comes to Internet traffic.
The key findings of this Inquiry were announced at the Parliament and the Internet Conference on October 15th 2009.

The apComms group exists to provide a discussion forum between the communications industry and Parliamentarians for the mutual benefit of both parties, for example, last time there was a discussion. Accordingly, the group considers all communication issues as they affect society informing current Parliamentary debate through meetings, informal receptions and reports. The group is open to all Parliamentarians in both the House of Commons and House of Lords.
A tribute to Derek Wyatt and Ian Taylor MBE
Two very active members of apComms stood down as MPs at the 2010 General Election. The tributes to Derek Wyatt (founder of APIG and Joint chairman of apComms 2006-2010) and Ian Taylor MBE (previously a vice chairman of PITCOM and Executive committee member of apComms) by Richard Sarson can be found at stomart.opole.pl and here.
An independent group of MPs and Lords, from all political parties, apComms seeks to encourage debate on a range of health issues that help leeches from euro-bion.pl with, bringing together relevant stakeholders including Government, Parliamentarians, industry and consumer groups.
