Polymer clay is an easy to work with clay that hardens. It is wonderful for all kinds of crafting projects. You can paint on it, sculpt it into any shape, and use it to patch. Getting a good recipe is always problematic. They either are too dry, too running, break easily or just don’t last. Buying it is fine, but it can be expensive and why buy it, if you can make it! Is there anything more fun than slime? Also known as gak or goo. You can make it in any color and it really is a great educational tool for studying visco-elasticity. I used to have my lab students make it in lab and then do all kinds of experiments on it. It is very easy to make and only takes a couple of ingredients. One hint for making it – if you change out the glue, you can get different viscosities. Try using wood glue for example. I LOVE sourdough bread. There is just something special about it. When I was a little girl, my grandmother kept a starter. You were then able to make it from the starter at any time and you always had the starter going. Eventually it died off and we never restarted another batch. I miss it.
