NIMBYs By Any Other Name Are Still Progressives      Comment   Translate Page

I am hereby awarding my 2019 Award for the “Best Use of Alinsky’s Rule #4: "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules" to President Trump. I know it’s still early but the President’s plan to resettle “refugees” in sanctuary cities cannot be topped.

In one short tweet he’s exposed every progressive twit in America, along with all their talking points, for the pack of hypocritical NIMBYs they are.

Because every Progressive Democrat worth their salt has gone on record praising the virtues of “undocumented” immigrants, who they refuse to call “illegal.” How many times have they told us that all immigration is good and more immigration is even better? How many times have they told us that there is no such thing as an illegal human, that there is no distinction between legal and illegal immigration? And if you disagree you are worse than Hitler.

“Everyone is welcome in California”- Gavin Newsome

“We offer a home to immigrants, that’s who we are”- Elizabeth Warren

“Bring these people out of the shadows” –  Kamala Harris

“Immigration is not a security issue…there is no such thing as an illegal human.” – Kirsten Gillibrand

Yet offer to give them what they claim they want and they will accuse you of “dumping” - their word, not the President’s – refugees in their back yard, of using immigrant/refugees as “props” to “punish political enemies.”  Be careful now progs, your slip is showing. I mean, refugees never used to be considered “props used to punish political enemies,” not when Obama targeted small towns to resettle Syrian refugees.

Rural folks in Montana are pushing back against plans by urban elites to plant hundreds of Muslims from the Third World into Helena and Missoula. They plan a protest rally at 10 a.m. Monday in front of the county courthouse in Missoula.

So how, I ask you, can salt of the earth immigrants possibly be used as props? How can sending these cities, run by enlightened progressives, more of the very people they say they welcome with open arms be considered a punishment? Unless, as Obama said, you mean they’re being punished with a baby - or babies as the case may be.

Otherwise I don’t see how you can possible object to President Trump’s offer to resettle these human beings in some of the finest cities in America. It sure seems better than holding them in cages like Obama did, before eventually transferring them to what Progressives consider “hell holes” in flyover America like Podunk Iowa, South Dakota, Montana and Nebraska.

Instead Trump’s refugees will get to enjoy all the privileges of living in  LA, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Boston. There they will be able to avail themselves of all the finest medical care public money can buy in their overburdened emergency rooms, enjoy the finest education in their overloaded schools and overwhelm their overtaxed social services system.

I would have to say, well played Mr. President. Even Mr. Alinsky would have to commend your gamesmanship.

“The American people have resoundingly rejected this Administration’s toxic anti-immigrant policies, and Democrats will continue to advance immigration policies that keep us safe and honor our values.”

Have they, Nancy?

Report: Former top Clinton aide running 'dark money' campaign to get Brett Kavanaugh fired from teaching job      Comment   Translate Page

Hillary Clinton's former campaign spokesman is leading a "dark money" campaign to get Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh fired from his summer teaching job at George Mason University, according to a new report.

What are the details?

Fox News reported that Brian Fallon, who served as Clinton's 2016 national spokesman, is backing an effort to prevent Kavanaugh from teaching for the university this summer. Fallon leads Demand Justice, a progressive advocacy group that does not disclose its funding.

The effort, which has been dubbed "Mason 4 Survivors," is circulating a petition that has so far garnered more than 5,000 signatures. The group is urging George Mason president Angel Cabrera to "terminate AND void ALL contracts and affiliation with Brett Kavanaugh at George Mason University."

"There is a historic amount of institutional negligence on your part to support survivors of sexual assault and the student body as a whole, which has bred a sense of mistrust and suffering within the Mason community and allies," the petition claims.

According to HuffPost, Fallon's group is running a Facebook advertisement campaign that targets anyone connected with George Mason University urging them to sign the petition. The ad also directs targeted users to sign a separate petition that calls on Congress to investigate Kavanaugh.

Though sexual misconduct allegations surfaced against Kavanaugh during his Supreme Court confirmation process last, none of the accusations ever proved credible.

What's the background?

It was announced last month that Kavanaugh would join George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School as a distinguished visiting professor. He is set to co-teach a two-credit course this summer in England called "Creation of the Constitution."

Kavanaugh's appointment was met with immediate pushback and protests.

Fortunately, Cabrera has defended Kavanaugh's appointment, saying in a statement last month that the university will not revoke Kavanaugh's appointment.

"I respect the views of people who disagreed with Justice Kavanaugh's Senate confirmation due to questions raised about his sexual conduct in high school. But he was confirmed and is now a sitting Justice," Cabrera said. "The law school has determined that the involvement of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice contributes to making our law program uniquely valuable for our students."

Facebook has unpublished the page of Ecuador’s former president, Rafael Correa, the social media giant confirmed on Thursday, claiming that the popular leftist leader violated the company’s security policies.

"...Since 2015, Correa—who lives with his family in Brussels, Belgium—had used the social platform to great effect, using strongly-worded posts, video interviews, and live-streams as a platform amid the Ecuadorean media’s de facto blackout of the former leader, who remains reviled by the center-right former opposition and sections of the country’s left.
Former President Correa minced no words in his assessment of Moreno, denouncing him in an English-language tweet as “the greatest traitor in Ecuadorian and Latin American history … Moreno is a corrupt man, but what he has done is a crime that humanity will never forget.” ...

IT IS STRAIGHT-UP TREASON, IT'S A DAMN MASSIVE INVASION...

Trump Fires Off Late Night Tweet – Calls Democrats’ Open Border Policies “TREASONOUS”

President Trump fired off a late night tweet Wednesday, calling the actions taken by Democrats to keep the borders wide open, “TREASONOUS.”

Thank you, President Trump for calling it what it is!
“I think what the Democrats are doing with the Border is TREASONOUS. Their Open Border mindset is putting our Country at risk. Will not let this happen!” Trump said in a tweet.

There is a huge crisis at the US-Mexico border with record number of illegal aliens flooding into the United States.
Asylum seekers are being released into communities because of dangerous “catch and release” policies and Congress refuses to act.
No doubt these caravans of illegals are being funded by open border zealots looking to destroy US sovereignty.
Multiple caravans full of military-aged Central Americans and other migrants from all over the world are currently marching to the US border where they will seek asylum then be released into the US.

Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodolfo Karisch said that in his sector alone, border agents have captured people trying to enter the country illegally from more than 50 different countries, including Turkey, China, Bangladesh, Egypt and Romania. “People are traveling across hemispheres to attempt to illegally enter the U.S., using the same pathways as the Central Americans,” he told lawmakers.
“Karisch noted that Border Patrol has apprehended more families illegally crossing the border in the first five months of fiscal 2019 than during all of fiscal 2018,” Fox News reported. “Customs and Border Protection (CBP) apprehended more than 76,000 migrants across the border in February and said it was on track to apprehend more than 100,000 in March. In the Rio Grande Valley alone, Karisch said that at current pace, they would have more than 260,000 apprehensions in his sector by the end of fiscal 2019. There were 162,000 in RGV last year. He also said that his agents apprehend, on average, 1,000 people a day.”
President Trump declared a national emergency in February to secure funding for a border wall, however, the insanely dangerous asylum laws are causing the biggest surge of illegal aliens flooding over the border.
Despite nearly 100,000 illegal invaders being apprehended by border patrol in the month of March alone, Democrats continue to give comfort and aid to the invaders by refusing to stop the border surge.
Judge Richard Seeborg on Monday blocked President Trump’s policy of returning asylum seekers to Mexico as they wait their turn for an immigration judge to hear their cases.
Judge Seeborg, an Obama appointee in San Francisco, granted a request by a civil liberties group that sued the Trump Administration on behalf of 11 asylum seekers from Central America.
Trump is right — what the Democrats are doing with the border is treasonous.

Dear Savannah,

You can’t make this up.
Yesterday I went to the Attorney General’s Office in New Hampshire to give them proof of voter fraud.  An admission from an Atkinson man who voted twice in the same election in two different states.

You can view the video HERE.
How did they respond?
They handed me and my executive producer a grand jury subpoena.
Did the summons mention anything about voter fraud or double voting?  Of course not.
We are now ordered to appear before a grand jury in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire for an investigation.

Our journalists found a man who admitted to double voting.  Breaking the law!
Now, the response of the AG’s office isn’t to investigate the double voter, but instead our operations.
I will not budge.  I will not capitulate.  And I will not cave to this political pressure.
I will keep releasing voter fraud videos in New Hampshire and I will not be not be intimidated by the misguided use of the grand jury process to try and prevent our lawful investigative journalism.
I'm not asking for your money, I'm asking for your help.
Please help me put pressure on the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office to investigate this voter fraud case right now.
Please call their investigator Robert J. Sullivan at:603-271-1182
Or you can email him atRobert.Sullivan@doj.nh.gov
Tell him the following:
Please investigate Robert A. Bell for admitting to voting twice.  Why did you subpoena James O'Keefe, the journalist, instead of subpoenaing the person who voted twice?
Be Brave!

Your car is watching you. Who owns the data?

Computers on wheels raise thorny questions about data privacy

If you’re driving a late model car or truck, chances are that the vehicle is mostly computers on wheels, collecting and wirelessly transmitting vast quantities of data to the car manufacturer not just on vehicle performance but personal information, too, such as your weight, the restaurants you visit, your music tastes and places you go.
A car can generate about 25 gigabytes of data every hour and as much as 4,000 gigabytes a day, according to some estimates. The data trove in the hands of car makers could be worth as much as $750 billion by 2030, the consulting firm McKinsey has estimated. But consumer groups, aftermarket repair shops and privacy advocates say the data belongs to the car’s owners and the information should be subject to data privacy laws.
Yet Congress has yet to pass comprehensive federal data privacy legislation. And although Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi, chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, has said he would like to see federal privacy legislation passed by the end of the year, it is unclear if that goal can be met.
Financial technology is changing how we do business, and regulators are trying to catch up

If this crap passes, more people will leave Californicated      Comment   Translate Page
(and those who can't will make plans for when they can), which means a smaller tax base, which means these idiots will want to raise even more taxes...

Just picking one of this mix of "We need more money! AND we need more control over people!",
Following a national trend – and concerns over the risks of obesity and diabetes – Democratic lawmakers in the state have proposed a tax on the sugary beverages, which include soft drinks, sweetened iced teas, coffees and sports drinks. While details have remained vague on how much these taxes would be, Democratic Assemblyman Richard Bloom has supported a 20-cent-per-ounce tax in previous proposals.
I foresee a blossoming of smuggling of any "How dare you want to drink something we disapprove of!" drinks.

Someone should propose a tax on illegal aliens; that would raise one helluva lot, except the illegals wouldn't pay it and Californicated wouldn't try to make them.  Also, that's probably the ONE tax those idiots wouldn't support.

Trump Sends Glowing Tweets About North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un, Suggests Possible Third Summit      Comment   Translate Page

U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un

On Saturday, President Donald Trump issued a series of glowing posts on Twitter, describing the two leaders as having a relationship that is “very good,” before adding that “perhaps the term excellent would be even more accurate,” as Fox News reports. The president also hinted at the possibility of a third summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, while suggesting that their strong personal relationship would serve to outweigh the largely ineffectual policy negotiations between the United States and North Korea.

As part of his praise of Kim and North Korea in general, Trump set the stage for the country to find traditional success on the world stage that is free from the economic and military sanctions currently directed at North Korea.

The next level is the Council on Foreign Relation made up of leftist New World Order global Communist who have been at work destroying our Sovereignty since 1921! Think NOT? Then note how happy Hillary Clinton was when they opened up an office in D.C. so she could just "walk down the Street" to get her marching orders instead of going to NYC. The CFR OWNS all of the main stream media (owners such as Rupert Murdock - FoxNews) are hard line "progressives". Report: Former top Clinton aide running 'dark money' campaign to get Brett Kavanaugh fired from teaching job

Anything to stop Kavanaugh

Bergman Blasts EU's Collusion With Iran      Comment   Translate Page

Authored by Judith Bergman via The Gatestone Institute,

On January 31, Britain, France and Germany announced a new payment mechanism known as the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX). It was designed to preserve the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal, after the US left the deal in May 2018 and reinstated -- as well as broadened -- US sanctions on the country in November 2018. The main purpose of INSTEX is to ensure that Europe -- and potentially third countries – can continue doing business with the mullahs in Iran without risking US penalties for contravening US sanctions.

"INSTEX will support legitimate European trade with Iran, focusing initially on the sectors most essential to the Iranian population -- such as pharmaceutical, medical devices and agri-food goods," the foreign ministers of Britain, Germany and France said in a joint statement. In the longer term, INSTEX aims to be open to other countries wanting to trade with Iran, the statement said. Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, said INSTEX was "essential for the continued full implementation of the nuclear deal".

Mogherini seems strongly committed to ensuring that Iran -- and Europe -- continue receiving economic benefits from the illegal, unsigned, and unratifiedIran deal. "Alongside Iran's implementation, the lifting of nuclear-related sanctions is an essential part of the deal so we will continue to work to preserve the economic dividends of sanctions lifting," Mogherini said recently. "Our collective security requires a solid multilateral architecture for non-proliferation and disarmament. This is why the European Union will continue to work to preserve the nuclear deal with Iran," added Mogherini who insisted that Iran is complying with the JCPOA.

The European Union insists that Iran is complying with the nuclear deal (JCPOA). It is not. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, referring to documents seized by Israel, stated that the nuclear deal was "built on lies."(Photo by Win McNamee/Getty Images)

It is not.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, referring to documents seized by Israel, stated that the nuclear deal was "built on lies." In addition, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi, in a recent interview with Iran's state-owned Channel 2, made it clear that the flimsy "nuclear deal", initiated by then-US President Barack Obama, has done nothing to stop Iran from making advances in its nuclear program, according to Iran expert Dr. Majid Rafizadeh. "[T]he latest reports on Iran's nuclear progress," Rafizadeh wrote, "also indicatethat Iran is on the threshold of modernizing its mechanism for producing highly enriched uranium, which can be utilized to build a nuclear weapon".

EU member states such as France, Germany and the UK continue to claim that Iran is complying with its agreements: these countries evidently want to continue doing business with the mullahs. Official figures by Germany's Federal Statistics Office revealed that German exports to Iran grew by 4% to 2.4 billion euros in the first 10 months of 2018, and monthly export volumes are expected to average 200 million to 250 million euros a month in 2019. In October 2018, German goods exported to Iran totaled almost 400 million euros ($455 million), representing a surge of 85% from the previous October and the highest monthly volume since 2009, according to Reuters.

A German intelligence report also noted that, "Iran has continued unchanged the pursuit of its ambitious program to acquire technology for its rocket and missile delivery program." Much of that activity has evidently taken place in Germany: Iran's efforts to develop its nuclear and missile programs resulted in "32 procurement attempts... that definitely or with high likelihood were undertaken for the benefit of proliferation programs," in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Fox News reported in 2017.

Germany is now refusing even to disclose Iranian attempts to obtain nuclear weapons and missile technology, and claiming that it no longer keeps such statistics, Fox News recently reported.

If Iranian attempts to attain nuclear weapons leave major EU powers undeterred from doing business with Iran, what then about Iran's atrocious human rights record? Europe, after all, likes to boast that it is committed to human rights. "The European Union," the EU professes, "is based on a strong commitment to promoting and protecting human rights... Human rights are at the heart of EU relations with other countries... EU policy includes:

  • promoting the rights of women, children, minorities and displaced persons

  • opposing the death penalty, torture, human trafficking and discrimination

  • defending civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights

  • defending human rights through active partnership with partner countries, international and regional organisations, and groups and associations at all levels of society

  • inclusion of human rights clauses in all agreements on trade or cooperation with non-EU countries".

When it comes to Europe's relationship with Iran, none of those lofty principles appears to matter at all. According to Amnesty International's 2017-2018 country report on Iran:

"The [Iranian] authorities heavily suppressed the rights to freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly, as well as freedom of religion and belief, and imprisoned scores of individuals who voiced dissent. Trials were systematically unfair. Torture and other ill-treatment was widespread and committed with impunity. Floggings, amputations and other cruel punishments were carried out. The authorities endorsed pervasive discrimination and violence based on gender, political opinion, religious belief, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity. Hundreds of people were executed, some in public, and thousands remained on death row. They included people who were under the age of 18 at the time of the crime".

Women, it seems, were especially subjected to abuse. According to the report:

"Women remained subject to entrenched discrimination in law and practice, including in access to divorce, employment, equal inheritance and political office, and in family and criminal law...The authorities failed to criminalize gender-based violence... The legal age of marriage for girls remained at 13, and fathers and grandfathers could obtain permission from courts for their daughters to be married at an even younger age. All 137 women who registered as presidential candidates were disqualified by the Guardian Council. President Rouhani included no woman ministers in his cabinet, despite civil society demands. Compulsory veiling (hijab) allowed police and paramilitary forces to harass and detain women for showing strands of hair under their headscarves or for wearing heavy make-up or tight clothing..."

Evidently none of these facts bothered Mogherini and company.

Then how about the fact of Iran being the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism? After all, Iran plotted four terrorist attacks on European soil since 2015 alone, according to the Dutch government. It alleged that Iran committed two assassinations in the Netherlands, and plotted one attack in Denmark and another in France -- the latter at a rally of dissidents.

In fairness, the EU has produced the tiniest of pathetic gestures to pretend that it cares about Iranian terrorism: It imposed sanctions on Iran's intelligence ministry and two Iranian nationals. But has a little state-sponsored terrorism come between Iran and the EU in doing business -- professedly to preserve an illegal and unsigned Iran deal? Dream on.

No amount of human rights abuses, however atrocious -- or terrorism, even against its own citizens; or cheating to acquire deliverable nuclear capability to unleash on Israel, the US and eventually threaten the entire West -- will, it seems, deter the EU from its criminal collusion with Iran. Europe seems determined to wade into its own destruction with its eyes wide open.
