A legend - too old for me now.

Pilsen won its first orange-vest match so the finalist will be decided in Třinec on Monday. Meanwhile in Linz, Austria is playing against Czechia, 3-to-4. Nine minutes before the end. It's embarrassing when such an apparently weak team as Austria is this close to us in the score but as long as we win, it's OK.

I really plan to contact Straka and tell him to reserve CZK 2 million out of a CZK 100 million budget - for the "preservation of the fan atmosphere" (two million to pay fines for vulgarities and a reserve for a closed stadium if this punishment comes). This is really a tiny fraction of the budget - even of the revenues from the tickets. This would make the fans feel better about the team and, as wealthier people, they could also behave in a bit more fancy way. ;-)

Erwin, Pilsen is just playing the 6th match against Třinec in the semifinals. Pilsen has to win, otherwise the final dream is over, and we're ahead, 1-to-0 now.

The yellow vests are amazing and the peaceful distortions of the meaning of the vests on the public TV channel that broadcasts it is touching. This is so amazing. If people could always create peace in this way.

First of all, the atmosphere is the standard perfect Pilsner ice-hockey atmosphere, lots of melodic enough shouting. But in the audience, there's a lot of orange vests, not only in the typical cauldron places. The pro-freedom side is obviously hugely powerful. If Straka wanted to ban all fans who are ready to take the orange vests (the easily available vests are in cars and in Czechia, they just happen to be orange), he would lose a huge fraction of viewers, and maybe more because those are dependent on the first ones, and so on.

I really don't recommend him to try this full-blown war.

But what I love are the comments of the TV hosts who "always loved to go to Pilsen" and "who love Pilsner fans". They're great, you know. We're only hear about those who probably don't belong to the stadium but no one talks about the wonderful Pilsner fans! You can imagine it's touching. And the orange vests themselves were interpreted as the "desire to be polite but..." plus some other distortions. The reality is that the orange vest expresses the fan's desire to keep the authentic Pilsner ice-hockey mood including the expletives, without reeducation.

But in this case, when the TV hosts say something that actually isn't quite true, I sort of appreciate it because in some serious enough contexts, the peace and melting hearts is more important than the accurate truth. At least I think that they distort the meaning of the vests deliberately...
