March 13–19 by Rob Brezsny

ARIES (March 21–April 19): The coming weeks might be a good time to acquire a flamethrower. It would come in handy if you felt the urge to go to a beach and incinerate mementos from an ex-ally. It would also be useful if you wanted to burn stuff that reminds you of who you used to be and don't want to be anymore, or if you got in the mood to set ablaze symbols of questionable ideas you used to believe in but can't afford to believe in anymore. If you don't want to spend $1,600 on a flamethrower, just close your eyes for 10 minutes and visualize yourself performing acts of creative destruction like those I mentioned.

TAURUS (April 20–May 20): Taurus aphorist Olivia Dresher writes that she would like to be "a force of nature," but "not causing any suffering." The way I interpret her longing is that she wants to be wild, elemental, uninhibited, primal, raw, pure—all the while without inflicting any hurt or damage on herself or anyone else. In accordance with your astrological omens, Taurus, that's a state I encourage you to embody in the coming weeks. If you're feeling extra smart—which I suspect you will—you could go even further. You may be able to heal yourself and others with your wild, elemental, uninhibited, primal, raw, pure energy.

GEMINI (May 21–June 20): In some major cities, the buttons you push at a crosswalk don't actually work to make the walk light turn green faster. The same is true about the "Close Door" buttons in many elevators. Pushing them doesn't have any effect on the door. Harvard psychologist Ellen Langer says these buttons are like placebos that give you "the illusion of control." I bring this phenomenon to your attention, Gemini, in hope of inspiring you to scout around for comparable things in your life. Is there any situation where you imagine you have power or influence, but probably don't? If so, now is an excellent time to find out—and remedy that problem.

CANCER (June 21–July 22): Philip Boit was born and raised in Kenya, where it never snows except on the very top of Mount Kenya. Yet he represented his country in the cross-country skiing events at the Winter Olympics in 2002 and 2006. How did he do it? He trained up north in snowy Finland. Meanwhile, Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong competed for Ghana in the slalom in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Since there was no snow in his homeland, he practiced his skills in the French Alps. These two are your role models for the coming months, Cancerian. According to my analysis of the astrological omens, you'll have the potential to achieve success in tasks and activities that may not seem like a natural fit.

LEO (July 23–Aug 22): In the process of casting for his movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, director David Fincher considered selecting A-list actress Scarlett Johansson to play the heroine. But ultimately he decided she was too sexy and radiant. He wanted a pale, thin, tougher-looking actress, whom he found in Rooney Mara. I suspect that in a somewhat similar way, you may be perceived as being too much something for a role you would actually perform quite well. But in my astrological opinion, you're not at all too much. In fact, you're just right. Is there anything you can do—with full integrity—to adjust how people see you and understand you without diluting your brightness and strength?

VIRGO (Aug 23–Sept 22): In 1993, an English gardener named Eric Lawes used his metal detector to look for a hammer that his farmer friend had lost in a field. Instead of the hammer, he found the unexpected: a buried box containing 15,234 old Roman silver and gold worth more than $4 million today. I bring this to your attention, Virgo, because I suspect that you, too, will soon discover something different from what you're searching for. Like the treasure Lawes located, it might even be more valuable than what you thought you wanted.

LIBRA (Sept 23–Oct 22): "The role of the artist is exactly the same as the role of the lover," wrote author James Baldwin. "If I love you, I have to make you conscious of the things you don't see." To fully endorse that statement, I'd need to add two adverbs. My version would be: "The role of the artist is exactly the same as the role of the lover. If I love you, I have to kindly and compassionately make you conscious of the things you don't see." In accordance with current astrological omens, I recommend that you Libras enthusiastically adopt that mission during the coming weeks. With tenderness and care, help those you care about to become aware of what they've been missing—and ask for the same from them toward you.

SCORPIO (Oct 23–Nov 21): For thousands of generations, our early ancestors were able to get some of the food they needed through a practice known as persistence hunting. They usually couldn't run as fast as the animals they chased. But they had a distinct advantage: They could keep moving relentlessly until their prey grew exhausted. In part that's because they had far less hair than the animals, and thus could cool off better. I propose that we adopt this theme as a metaphor for your life in the coming weeks and months. You won't need to be extra fast or super ferocious or impossibly clever to get what you want. All you have to do is be persistent and dogged and disciplined.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22–Dec 21): Wompsi'kuk Skeesucks Brooke is a Native American woman of the Mohegan tribe. According to her description of Mohegan naming traditions, and reported by author Elisabeth Pearson Waugaman, "Children receive names that are descriptive. They may be given new names at adolescence, and again as they go through life according to what their life experiences and accomplishments are." She concludes that names "change as the individual changes." If you have been thinking about transforming the way you express and present yourself, you might want to consider such a shift. This year will be a favorable time to at least add a new nickname or title. And I suspect you'll have maximum inspiration to do so in the coming weeks.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22–Jan 19): For many of us, smell is our most neglected sense. We see, hear, taste, and feel with vividness and eagerness, but allow our olfactory powers to go underused. In accordance with the astrological omens, I hope you will compensate for that dearth in the coming weeks. There is subtle information you can obtain—and in my opinion, need quite strongly—that will come your way only with the help of your nose. Trust the guidance provided by scent.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20–Feb 18): Essayist Nassim Nicholas Taleb says humans come in three types: fragile, robust, or antifragile. Those who are fragile work hard to shield themselves from life's messiness. The downside? They are deprived of experiences that might spur them to grow smarter. As for robust people, Taleb believes they are firm in the face of messiness. They remain who they are even when they're disrupted. The potential problem? They may be too strong to surrender to necessary transformations. If you're the third type, antifragile, you engage with the messiness and use it as motivation to become more creative and resilient. The downside? None. In accordance with the astrological omens, Aquarius, I urge you to adopt the antifragile approach in the coming weeks.

PISCES (Feb 19–March 20): In 2014, NASA managed to place its MAVEN spacecraft into orbit around Mars. The cost of the mission was $671 million. Soon thereafter, the Indian government put its own vehicle, the Mangalyaan, into orbit around the Red Planet. It spent $74 million. As you plan your own big project, Pisces, I recommend you emulate the Mangalyaan rather than the MAVEN. I suspect you can do great things—maybe even your personal equivalent of sending a spacecraft to Mars—on a relatively modest budget.

Homework: Upon waking up for the next seven mornings, sing a song that fills you with feisty, glorious hope.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble: Mary Had A Little Lamb
[purchase]

Ultimately, what underlies this blog, over its long history, is recorded music. And while Edison may not have been the first person to figure out how to record stuff that could be played back (that achievement is currently credited to Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville, who invented the phonoautograph in the mid-1850s, but never profited from it), he was the one who popularized it, and in the technology world, the glory often goes not to the first, but to the best or luckiest marketer.

The first thing that Edison recorded in 1877 was the nursery rhyme, “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” That original recording has been lost, but a recording of the rhyme on an Edison machine in 1878 by Thomas Mason, a St. Louis newspaper political writer, still exists, and you can hear that here, after some music.  (It is wrongly attributed to Edison, as you can read here.) In 1927, at the Golden Jubilee of the Phonograph ceremony, Edison recalled that fateful day, and you can hear that here. And if you are interested in the disputed history of the writing of the original rhyme, the Wikipedia article is here.

Although there’s sort of a sing-song tune that goes along with the rhyme, we are not going to discuss that, even though it is probably already lodged in your brain right now.  Sorry.  Instead, we will jump ahead to 1968, and an album by soon to be Blues Legend Buddy Guy, A Man and the Blues, on which he recorded a fun, bluesy version of “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” throwing in a little “A Tisket, A Tasket,” for good measure.. (In 1990, when my son was all of two months old, my wife and I brought him to Central Park to a free Buddy Guy show. We did stand in the back—somewhere in this picture, maybe--but Buddy jumped off the stage and ran through the crowd playing, and came right up to us. Begging the question whether we were very good or very bad parents. I don’t recall whether he played “Mary” that day, because I was enthralled by his playing, and was worried about my infant son and his mother, considering that I had been a father for all of two months and had no clue what I was doing.)

Frankly, though, I first became aware of the tune from Stevie Ray Vaughan’s version on his debut album from 1983, Texas Flood, which spawned the better known singles "Pride and Joy" and "Love Struck Baby," and the great live version on Live Alive. There’s really not much more to say about it—it was clearly a goof when Guy recorded it (if brilliantly done), and Vaughan seemed to regard it similarly, but also as another showcase for his incendiary guitar playing.

OK—one more thing. This article, which discusses the song, posits that Guy swiped the song, knowingly or not, from Freddie King’s instrumental “Just Pickin',” which itself may have been nicked from another bluesman, Earl Hooker, whose song “Two Bugs and a Roach” sounds similar. Who knows?

No one, though, seems to have sued anyone over the royalties.

One Direction arrive in Tokyo wearing traditional Japanese kimonos      Cache   Translate Page

They were greeted by hundreds of excited fans - some even made GIANT signs - as they touched down in Japan for the first time
This is amazing

They’re certainly racking up some air miles after returning from Africa ust a few days ago - One Direction are already on the other side of the world.

The band arrived in Tokyo this morning and ditched their high-end fashion labels and trademark preppy style for Japanese traditional costumes – which was obviously a popular decision with hundreds of locals waiting for their arrival.
Embracing the kimonos, they bowed and laughed for the cameras. It feels like the phrase 'when in Rome' was invented for these pictures but this isn't Italy, duh.
And here's a useless fact for you, the Japanese writing on 1D's jackets spells out 'One Direction'. Clever stuff.
Fans turned up at Narita International Airport with signs and immeasurable levels of excitement at the thought of touching Harry Styles.
One Direction in Japan
Niall was definitely the most popular

It’s the first time One Direction have visited Japan and they’ll mostly be doing promo for second album Take Me Home.
We did some deep research into the album and analysed some of their hilarious lyrics  you will be surprised by how sexual they can actually be. Unless of course you’re Taylor Swift or another bandmates conquest.
One Direction in Japan
This is what their careers have been building up for

Spare a thought for the 'normal' people using that airport

One Direction in Japan
Told you, they LOVE Niall

The young singers spent the weekend in Accra, Ghana, and were overwhelmed by what they saw.
To be fair, if you’re a world famous boyband who visit glamorous cities and stay in five star hotels then a charity visit to the ‘slums’ of Africa is always going to be a shock.
They are recording a cover of Blondie’s single One Way or Another to raise money for the annual event and it’s believed they made video diaries on their trip.
Obviously humbled, singer Harry tweeted: ‘Today was the most amazing day I've had so far.. In my life ever,’ before adding: ‘@rednoseday Thank you so much for having us. It was amazing and we'll see you soon xx.’
Niall Horan added a string of Twitter messages and told one fan that the visit ‘changed my life’.
One Direction in Ghana
What a bunch of legends. And the band are pretty nice too

He wrote: ‘Just arrived back from Accra,Ghana! Best life experience ever! This @rednoseday please get involved!!’ he wrote.
‘Watch comic relief this @rednoseday, you are in for a shock and eye opener ! and fun too.’
The Irish singer continued: ‘I've seen the slums right in front of me! This is no joke! They really need your help! Poverty is real!’
In a direct message to a fan, he explained: ‘We all are the most selfish people ever! U would not believe that country.’
We’ll ignore the fact that sentence could have been written in crayons by a toddler because he’s done a bit of charity work.
Plus, he's probably still buzzing after passing his driving test so we'll let Niall have his moment.
At least we all know that 1D have a few quid in the bank to make a donation when Red Nose Day is broadcast on March 15th.

Not Everyone Is Celebrating on Independence Day in Ghana      Cache   Translate Page

More than 60 men with real or perceived psychosocial disabilities are confined in one room, including some who are chained, at Mount Horeb Prayer Camp in Mamfi, Ghana.

© 2018 Human Rights Watch
On my Twitter feed last week, I saw many images of Ghanaians celebrating Independence Day: people dressed in their finest, cheering and waving flags, marching bands playing, ordinary Ghanaians dancing in the streets.

But I had trouble reconciling these images with those I’m more familiar with in Ghana: a dark room with dozens of men cramped together with little to no ventilation, their legs bound by heavy metal chains; men and women stripped of their dignity and their clothes, calling out to me to bring them food and help get them out.

These Ghanaians are not celebrating Independence Day. Instead, they are locked away in prayer camps simply because they have real or perceived psychosocial disabilities (or mental health conditions).

In October 2017, the Ministry of Health pledged to enforce a newly adopted ban on shackling. But when I visited one year later, little had improved. I joined the head of the Mental Health Authority, Dr. Akwasi Osei, to visit Mount Horeb Prayer Camp in Mamfi, where we saw firsthand how people brought there by their families for prayer and healing were locked up in chains, and denied adequate food, hygiene, and freedom. He was clearly moved and called on the leadership of the camp to end the use of shackles, citing the government’s commitment to enforce the ban.

As Dr. Osei said, “You and I can be in their shoes. …Would [you or] I be happy to be treated in that way? All of us would say ‘No’.”

Just one month later, I sat with the deputy minister of health on the “friendship bench” during the Global Summit on Mental Health, where she reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to end shackling and ensure that people with psychosocial disabilities are treated with dignity.

Deputy minister of health of Ghana, Tina Mensah, and Shantha Rau Barriga.

There are some signs of progress. On February 26, the WHO launched its Quality Rights initiative in Ghana, supported by the UK’s development agency, a program aimed at training at least 5,000 people on ways to improve the quality of mental health services and ensure respect for human rights. This effort, by the government’s own admission, aims to address the well-documented abuses against people with psychosocial disabilities.

This is an important step forward, but it should not overshadow the reality that hundreds of people with mental health conditions remain in shackles.

Ghana needs to enforce the ban on shackling and ensure that conditions in prayer camps and psychiatric hospitals meet international human rights standards.

The people I met in Mount Horeb are not in a position to post joyful photos on social media, but the government should ensure that they – like all Ghanaians – can celebrate their independence from chains and indignity

Successful Project with a Derbyshire school and housing agency      Cache   Translate Page
This is a good story in the year of Swift Awareness Week
by Nick Brown

Last autumn a meeting was arranged by the Derbyshire Swift Conservation Project with Rykneld Homes with additional support from Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. Rykneld manages the social housing for NE Derbyshire District Council.

An Ibstock Swift brick
While most of their work is maintaining the 8000 houses they have already, occasionally they build new properties. Jude Milburn, Rykneld’s Community Involvement Officer, attended the meeting and took up the Swift cause. Liaising closely with us, he worked to get internal Swift boxes put in nine of the 50 houses in a new social housing development in North Wingfield, close to the village school (with some bat boxes in addition).

He also arranged for the Project to meet Rachael Peacock, the head teacher at the newly built village school. We explained how Swifts would make a great learning topic for the children – an idea she embraced enthusiastically. In addition, Jude gave her six Swift boxes to put up on the school. On 20th April, Rykneld organised a small ceremony to mark the completion of the new houses.

Swift boxes in 6 country colours
On a lovely sunny afternoon, thirty children from the school joined in by painting their six boxes in the colours of the flags of some of the countries the birds fly over on migration to and from Africa (Spain, Morocco, Ghana etc). This novel idea was first dreamed up by Ian Carstairs in Harleston, Norfolk so we can’t claim it as our own!

The children worked enthusiastically and the boxes will be put up on the school as soon as possible.

There are Swifts nesting in the village and we hope Rachael will be able to get the children to ask their parents if they know where, prior to us doing some survey work in the summer.

In addition, some of the children from the school will be moving into the new houses. Should they move into the ones with Swift boxes, Jude will ensure that they are made aware of their boxes and the reasons they were installed. Ideally we hope Jude will be able to engage with all the new tenants and to that end we will be providing him with copies of the new AfS leaflet and booklet to hand out.

Engaging the next generation

Job done!

If you sit in a cliff-top café in Varkala, close your eyes and let your mind drift, then it doesn't take a lot of imagination to drift off to Indonesia, Ghana, Thailand, or any of a whole host of travellers' haunts the world over. The sea breeze is warm and keeps you cool as you shelter from the hot afternoon sun; the surf crashes onto the beach below; the sound of trance music throbs gently from speakers sitting on the sandy floor of the bar; and contented travellers wander past in...

In other words, my experience will only apply to people who are young, very attractive, naturally masculine, and are naturally fun for a Ghana boy to hang with... otherwise what would be his natural incentive?

As much as I'm sure you'd like, certainly I will NOT violate trust and share any of these boys details to any of you without the boy's permission. Don't have anything to prove to anyone on here... you can believe it or not, it's your choice. Keep in mind, just because someone was personally into me, of course this has no bearing on whether they might harbour similar feelings for you. I believed the purpose of this particular thread was to share your experiences while in Africa, but I can see that some of the readers possess other agendas, which is pathetic and unfortunate; I will not participate in this.

But for anyone who is simply perusing my thread for the pleasure of listening to one's experience, and is looking for an informed opinion on what might make their holiday in a place like Ghana a smashing success, my best advice is to bypass trying to prearrange friendships via the internet and simply attempt to make friends only upon arrival. This will allow you to better gauge whether the person is being genuine with you or not (assuming you possess a good judge of character). A prearranged internet "friendship" only invites the boy to take his time to devise a plan on how he wants to take advantage of you upon your arrival. Please don't be so hungry and desperate.

WARNING: like I told you in a previous post (but only worded more vaguely then), my experiences are specific only to me, and will not be specific to you. It's ultimately up to you to figure out how to make your own experience successful. As a rule of thumb, however, if you are generally unsuccessful on getting dates in your native country, then why in the world do you expect it to be any bloody different in Ghana unless you're willing to flaunt your Pounds/Euros/Dollars and/or your elite country citizenship to get laid. Be realistic mates, but have fun.

This is no charity-all models- were get paid wery well.
And sending more pics to forum and trying to cheat money from EU guys is something weird. ???????????
Do we the same ? do we ask Africans for sending money to us and telling them false stories about our lives here in EU?
I dont think so.
I think africa is poor just because those lying , cheating, and fear etc.
For exaample it never happens in Asia. NO asian boys ask for money on web , no lie strories about their family poverty , and they are same poor as africa boys !!!maybe more- but they are fair.
So forget this nonsense with "friends" asking money and send more nude pics cause this is great EROTIC website!
More dicks, ass and cumshots, and less lies - stories about poverty and "problems" /this word is african mantra/!

Shut up idiot. I asked you some questions in my last post which you ignored. You think i don't know you're the homophobic self-hating Ghanaian fool that contacted me with threats a few weeks ago?

I asked you to mention the friend of mine that you contacted, and provide any emails you and i may have exchanged since you say i asked you for money as well. Idiot.

I always made it clear from the beginning that i'm looking to get any of my friends linked up with someone that can help them, or at least send them something in exchange for a few private pics or webcam show. It's a free world, so if that wasn't your cup of tea, you should have just moved on and ignored my post.

Imagine this fool hoping for a romantic, no strings attached hook-up from contacts on a pornsite  ?

I can tell you that anyone seeking to travel to Ghana is better-off with one of my friends, than with someone that says 'oh, i love you and i want to spend the rest of my life with you'. At least with any of my friends, you know what the deal is from the beginning, and if it's not what you want then you're free to move on and look for everlasting love somewhere else (hopefully not a pornsite).

Re: Sightseen Naked Men @ Rivers      Cache   Translate Page
I've seen young men bathing naked on beaches along the Ghana coast especially in Accra and the West Coast. I have also seen men bathing naked outside a bath house near Grace Jones Hotel at Labadi first step junction in Accra. They paid a small fee to the attendant, were given a large enamel basin full of water, soap and flannel and they all stood outside in full view of passers by on the main road, pouring water on themselves with a plastic bowl, soaping down their naked bodies, washing their cocks, balls, assholes etc and it was all normality, no one was taking a blind bit of notice. Then one of the bathers saw a pretty young lady walking past and he got a spontaneous erection, called out to her endearingly and began swinging his long soapy erection in a very provocative manner but he lady just turned her face in the opposite direction, did her best to ignore him and walked past as quickly as she could looking quite embarrassed and feeling harassed. Of course I had a very good look, laughed and enjoyed the view as I walked past feeling my cock rising & precum wetting my boxer shorts. So, I recommend Ghana for that but I heard that other African countries are similar, especially Kenya which has many quiet or isolated beaches not much visited by tourists where you can meet very well endowed guys and enjoy hot sex in a lot of hiding places... Beaches in Togo and Benin are probably equally as good. In some landlocked countries you will also have riverside and lakeside beaches where you will see naked guys bathing. Ghana too has a lakeside beach in it's Eastern Region which I hope to try out on my next visit there. Have fun!

When I was in Cape Coast, Ghana, I saw a tall strong looking fisherman taking a piss at the back of his house as I walked along a road near the beach...and he was impressively well endowed, he pissed for a long time and as he saw me looking at his cock he turned it towards me for me to get a better look and I was truly awe-struck by how long, thick, meaty and tasty it looked... then when he was finished pissing he gave it a good lengthy shake deliberately for my benefit before he put it away in his shorts and went back inside his house... Watching a handsome guy pissing is one of my favourite fetishes... and I find it a real turn on... Moreover, seeing a guy take a dump can also be a turn on if you are at a distance and can't smell anything (or seeing pics of it) can have a strange appeal and can arouse one sexually in a very unusual way... just enjoy the feeling and forget the reality... Sexual enjoyment comes in many guises...life is too short to prudish, just have an open mind and go with the flow...life is for living...enjoy!

From www gvnet.com I transfer the fllowing passage.

Human Trafficking and Modern-day Slavery

The Gambia is a source, transit, and destination country for children and women trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and commercial sexual exploitation. Within The Gambia, women and girls, and to a lesser extent boys, are trafficked for sexual exploitation, in particular to meet the demand for European sex tourism, and for domestic servitude. Boys are trafficked within the country for forced begging by religious teachers and for street vending. Transnationally, women, girls and boys from neighboring countries are trafficked to The Gambia for the same purposes listed above. Primary source countries are Senegal, Mali, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea and Benin. Trafficking of Gambian boys to Senegal for forced begging and Senegalese boys to The Gambia for the same purpose is particularly prevalent. Gambian women and girls are trafficked to Senegal for domestic servitude, and possibly for sexual exploitation. Gambian women and children may be trafficked to Europe through trafficking schemes disguised as migrant smuggling. Reports in the last two years of Gambian, Senegalese, and nationals of other neighboring countries being transported from The Gambia to Spain by boat appear to be predominantly cases of smuggling rather than trafficking. - U.S. State Dept Trafficking in Persons Report, June, 2008 [

I dont know about you but God has been kind and I discovered mine couple of days ago..... I heard from my Rohit last week and we got together the day before....As a matter of fact he,s lying in bed totally pooped out from our encounter after lunch today and we,ve been at it all afternoon...now thats what I call PARADISE. We lost touch with each other soon after school and then bumped into each other in HongKong much later on Nathan Road ,,while I was on a shopping spree with my wife and he with his. In short ,, we exchanged pleasantries and also our business cards. Some days later I had a call from him asking me if we could get together. It was as if I had found KOHINOOR DIAMOND.... I was perplexed and didnt know if it was all a dream or real. To cut a long story short we did meet up in Delhi and got together in Meridian hotel where we stayed for three whole days ...totally freaked out on each other till none of us had even a drop of cum left. We had such wild lovemaking that would put the best of North Africans or Blacks Or whatever to shame. Although both of us were worried about our marital status and although we had initial inhibitions whether it was right or whatever yet we just freaked out and believe u me it was the best time of my life..and his , too ..or so he told me and I could make out he was not shamming. God has his own ways and I discovered this....it was a very pleasant surprise to be together with the guy of my dreams... Now for the extraordinary bit.....For the first time ever after being forewarned about the rigours of AIDS....We both drank each other's cum many times as if we couldnt do without it.....Mind you..No tests no nothing...it was plain simple love.....We both trusted and just gave into each other. Please dont forget that we both are married people and such things are unheard of in India. I have no idea if I,m ill and I,m sure he is no different. But we both made love in good faith..like old times and I have no regrets whatsoever. Our next encounter is scheduled for Dusseldorf in Germany where I,ve invited him to be my guest for 2 weeks and thereafter , if all goes well, I,ll visit him in Paris where he is working as a Marketing manager and living alone. I want everyone to know that I,ve been with some of the best guys from the world over without having to pay a penny ,save for times when I,ve spent on maybe a meal. I,ve never EVER paid a dime for sex and I,ve had the best of guys of all shapes, sizes and colour from all over....and I,ve NEVER EVER been blackmailed by anyone including the dozen odd Nigerians or the dozen odd Ghanaians or cameroonians or kenyans that I went around with.....mind you ....Not ONE. God be with you all. Cheers.

Gay Guys in Ghana and Ivory Coast      Cache   Translate Page
Over twenty years ago I found a ghanaian penpal in a gay-contamagazine.
I was able to take him to Germany, sent him to a languageschool and he
absolved a malenurse-school. -He was bisexual like many other african men and our love-and sexcontacts endet after short years because of his desire to marry a girl and to get children. -But we are still good friends during all this long time up to today and he never forget that I took him out of poverty.
Than I lived together a second time with an african friend from Ivory Coast
whom I found in Paris. Unfortunately he left me after two years when he found a younger friend. (That`s life everywhere) Because of my husbands I visited several times their homelands and I came in contact with a lot of
their gay friends in Africa. I met gay men not only in Accra or Abidjan, also in the smallest villages.
I think homosexuality and love and sex between men exist in every part of the world. -Europeans with open heart and interest for african men should never forget that most of young men are very poor and in need for help. - Of course they would find sex for money too like everywhere, but african boys in Africa (maybe if they grew up in Europe)have nearly never interest for anonymous sex and one`s like in european gayscenes.

Sejarah Penulisan Hadits (1)      Cache   Translate Page
Shohifah Abu Bakar As Sidiq (Lembaran Abu Bakar As Siddiq)
Sohifah Ali Bin Abi Tholib (Lembaran Ali Bin Abi Tholib)
Di riwayatkan oleh Abi Juhaifah

Babywearing through the ages      Cache   Translate Page
David and I went to the local Farmer's Market on Saturday, and as usual he was sitting pretty in the BabyHawk on my back.  If you ever want to see babywearing in action, go to a farmer's market - I counted over a dozen other worn babies.

A random woman in line commented "Those things are all the rage".  An old (80+) lady with a strong accent replied, "Eeet was da rage when I lived in Moscow too!"  She went on to tell me about how she always wore her babies, and how it helped to keep them warm during the long Russian winters.

Babywearing's not trendy, it's normal.  It's practical.  It's beautiful!  Below is a collection of beautiful babywearing pictures from around the world and through the ages, from a friend's presentation to her high school Spanish class.  Enjoy!

Tensions Simmer in Restive Togo

Governance is a family business but a new generation of protesters is trying to disrupt the old order

Lomé — It seems like everyone living in Togo’s capital, Lomé, rises with the sun on weekends to go jogging. Its palm-lined beaches, sprawling along the Gulf of Guinea, teem with runners young and old, shouting encouragement to each other in French and Ewe. It looks like a happy place.
But appearances can deceive.

For decades, Togo has been ruled by a single family: first the father, Gnassingbé Eyadéma, from 1967-2005; and then the son, Faure Gnassingbé, from 2005 until ... well, no one is quite sure how long he will remain in power. The timing might not be up to him.

Last year witnessed the first rumblings of a revolution that could shake this small West African nation to its very core. Discontent with Gnassingbé’s government, particularly over the shortage of jobs and the oppressive political climate, sparked waves of protest in Togo and abroad. Led by a coalition of 14 opposition parties, the C14, and civil movement leaders, thousands poured into the streets of Lomé and Sokodé, an opposition stronghold in the north. On social media, and despite internet shutdowns, #TogoDebout (Togo Stand Up) was used to garner support.

Protesters demanded that Gnassingbé step down. They also demanded the return to the 1992 Constitution, which limits presidential terms, to prevent Faure Gnassingbé from running in the 2020 elections.

Chabine Samoudou, who is unemployed, was at an antigovernment demonstration in December. He marched alongside supporters of the opposition Pan-African National Party, with banners proclaiming “Faure Must Go”.

“As I dey here like this, I be student for Togo,” Samoudou said. “I suppose to get work but I no get anything,” the 25-year-old vented.

Vicious crackdown

The government’s response to the protests has been typically brutal, with both military and police used to crush the demonstrations. In October 2017, eight people, including a 10-year-old, were killed. A hundred people were injured and dozens more were detained. In December last year, four demonstrators were killed, according to Amnesty International. Protests were banned in the week leading up to parliamentary elections on December 20.

The government has also arrested hundreds of opposition protesters, and sentenced at least 60 to prison terms of up to 60 months. Among the detained is student leader Satchivi Folly, who is in prison in Lomé. His crime was to hold a press conference that security forces said was an act of rebellion against the rule of the president.

Folly’s mother, Deborah Sossou, a koko (mealie meal) seller, lives in fear about what further brutality the government may mete out. “We have done everything we can but nothing will happen as long as this government is in power,” she says.

Last year, her home was ransacked by members of the feared Research and Intelligence Service (RIS) — the secret police. They seized her son’s documents and said they found a gun in his room. It was all the justification they needed to give him a two-year sentence.

Prisoners are whipped with cables by the RIS and forced to neigh like horses, according to firsthand reports. A United States state department report described living conditions in the prisons as “life-threatening”.

The December parliamentary elections did not alter the status quo. C14 boycotted the elections on grounds that the vote was rigged against the opposition. Unsurprisingly Gnassingbé’s ruling Union for the Republic won a clear majority: 59 out of 91 National Assembly seats. The support of its main ally, the Union of Change Forces, led by former opposition leader Gilchrist Olympio, will boost the president’s chances of forcing through a constitutional change to allow him to stay in power, possibly till 2030.

Olympio is a scion of another political dynasty: he is the son of Togo’s first president, Sylvanus Olympio, who was assassinated in 1963. It is widely accepted that the assassin was none other than Gnassingbé Eyadéma, then a lowly sergeant.

‘We work in fear’

“This president wants to die in power,” declares Shalom Ameetekpo, a journalist and activist with Lomé’s Liberté Togo, a small privately owned newspaper that operates from an old, colonial-style building in downtown Lomé. The paper has faced threats from government officials for publishing incriminating content, such as a documentary exposing the inhumane state of the Lomé prison. “He considers the country his kingdom, just like his father.”

Ameetekpo (24) has been actively involved in the demonstrations. Here, journalists do not have the luxury of being mere observers, he says. Journalists and outspoken activists alike are targeted.

“We work in fear because you write something and people call to threaten you,” he says.

Three of his friends — all members, like Ameetekpo, of civil society group Nubueke — are in detention. Nubueke means “a new dawn” in Ewe.

Farida Nabourema, the co-founder of the Faure Must Go movement, lives in exile, and shuttles frequently to avoid arrest. She’s one of many political exiles.

“The past two years, I move around [countries] every two to three weeks and sometimes even less,” she told CNN.

Nabourema had pinned her hopes of returning home on the Economic Community of West African States (Ecowas), the regional body with a reputation for taking on dictators. It was the Ecowas intervention in the Gambia, for example, which forced out President Yahya Jammeh in early 2017 after he tried to stay in office despite losing an election.

But in Togo, Ecowas has been “toothless”, says Nabourema. Its attempts, along with the African Union, to mediate between the government and opposition groups have failed, and its calls to release political prisoners have mostly been ignored. Although 44 people were released in January, the opposition claims that hundreds more remain behind bars.

The state’s uncompromising response has taken its toll on protesters. Hope is waning: fewer protests are being staged and even fewer people are turning out. An uneasy quiet has settled over the country since the beginning of the year, although this could mean that the opposition is re-strategising ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Ameetekpo suggests.

The opposition’s principal candidate for 2020 is the Pan-African National Party’s Tikpi Atchadam, an eloquent, energetic politician from the north — just like Gnassingbé Eyadéma and Faure Gnassingbé. But Tikpi, as he is known, has been lying low for more than a year, communicating with his supporters mainly through WhatsApp video messages.

Some speculate that he is in exile in neighbouring Ghana but no one is quite sure. Others say he is biding his time until he can return with a bang.

In his absence, however, the opposition is struggling to maintain its cohesion. “C14 is falling apart”, said Wolali Ahlijah, of co-founder of activist movement Faure Must Go, pointing to squabbles within the coalition itself. Besides, the few notable contenders like Tikpi Atchadam would only make “headway depending on the extent to which the (C14) can rally around a single candidate, and if electoral reforms are put in place.”

Still, Togolese remain desperate for change that will see Gnassingbé gone. “It will require strong pressure on the political parties to find a single candidate,” says Ahlijah. “But I have hope that it can be done.”

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
The coming weeks might be a good time to acquire a flamethrower. It would come in handy if you felt the urge to go to a beach and incinerate mementoes from an ex-ally. It would also be useful if you wanted to burn stuff that reminds you of who you used to be and don't want to be any more; or if you got in the mood to set ablaze symbols of questionable ideas you used to believe in but can't afford to believe in any more. If you don't want to spend $1,600+ on a flamethrower, just close your eyes for ten minutes and visualize yourself performing acts of creative destruction like those I mentioned.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Taurus aphorist Olivia Dresher writes that she would like to be "a force of nature," but "not causing any suffering." The way I interpret her longing is that she wants to be wild, elemental, uninhibited, primal, raw, pure—all the while without inflicting any hurt or damage on herself or anyone else.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
In some major cities, the buttons you push at a crosswalk don't actually work to make the traffic light turn green faster.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Philip Boit was born and raised in Kenya, where it never snows except on the very top of Mount Kenya.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
In the process of casting for his movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, director David Fincher considered selecting A-list actress Scarlet Johansson to play the heroine.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
In 1993, an English gardener named Eric Lawes used his metal detector to look for a hammer that his farmer friend had lost in a field. Instead of the hammer, he found the unexpected: a buried box containing 15,234 old Roman silver and gold worth more than four million dollars today. I bring this to your attention, Virgo, because I suspect that you, too, will soon discover something different from what you're searching for. Like the treasure Lawes located, it might even be more valuable than what you thought you wanted.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
"The role of the artist is exactly the same as the role of the lover," wrote author James Baldwin. "If I love you, I have to make you conscious of the things you don't see." To fully endorse that statement, I'd need to add two adverbs. My version would be, "The role of the artist is exactly the same as the role of the lover.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
For thousands of generations, our early ancestors were able to get some of the food they needed through a practice known as persistence hunting.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Wompsi'kuk Skeesucks Brooke is a Native American woman of the Mohegan tribe. 2019 will be a favorable time to at least add a new nickname or title. And I suspect you'll have maximum inspiration to do so in the coming weeks.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
For many of us, smell is our most neglected sense. We see, hear, taste, and feel with vividness and eagerness, but allow our olfactory powers to go underused. In accordance with astrological omens, I hope you will compensate for that dearth in the coming weeks. There is subtle information you can obtain—and in my opinion, need quite strongly—that will come your way only with the help of your nose. Trust the guidance provided by scent.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Essayist Nassim Nicholas Taleb says humans come in three types: fragile, robust, or antifragile.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
In 2014, NASA managed to place its MAVEN spacecraft into orbit around Mars.

QNET YAONGEZA MAUZO YA MOJA KWA MOJA NA KUIMARISHA SOKO LA KANDA KWA KUTOA BIDHAA MPYA      Cache   Translate Page

https://wfdsa.org/download/advocacy/annual_report/WFDSA-Annual-Report-112718.pdf

Be realistic mates, but have fun.

carefull wrote:There is no doubt that all that lies here about sending money to westafricans are lies and moreover , here is the gay-erotic webpage and NOT charity web.
All people here wants to see nude and porn pics and videos of black boys.

At least with any of my friends, you know what the deal is from the beginning, and if it's not what you want then you're free to move on and look for everlasting love somewhere else (hopefully not a pornsite).

those lovely stories is just crap.
Have fun!

Re: A wierd fetish???      Cache   Translate Page

Re: Sex tourism in Gambia...      Cache   Translate Page

- U.S. State Dept Trafficking in Persons Report, June, 2008 [

hello all black lovers!
Be carefull to get in contact with some guys in Ghana. There are many fakers and try to get you in trouble!!!
My friend there also warned me many times, but if you want to meet nice guys there, contact me. I will try to
find you a thrustworthy person. (my friend is a police officer and having some friends who are looking for a life partner of friend from Europe) but keep in your mind that they only want to try a better life with your money, money is all what counts there. I'm lucky and find a thrustworthy person and pay for his education (was a lot of money but anyway, he's the best student in 5 districts and i'm proud!)

I mean some guys are not real gay, but pretend to be, and then blackmail the guys who visited them, because homo activities are illegal in those countries. Told me bullshit about what he does etc. the guy was full of bullshit and wanted to try and get me to take him to a hotel where he would have been able to set me up so the cops would bust us.
