Natural gas flows into the three liquefaction and export plants on the U.S. Gulf Coast have begun to increase once again after a brief interruption prompted by adverse weather in the Gulf. The only exception was Cheniere’s Corpus Christi facility, where, according to data provider Genscape, gas volumes dropped…

Enroute from Big Bend to Corpus Christi, Del Rio is about 300 miles each way and the only game around for RV Parks. We made reservations several months in advance for a one night stopover. Upon arrival, we were shocked to hear that, due to the booming oil/gas pipeline nearby, the park had sold out all available sites to the long term oil workers. The owner acknowledged our prior rezo and apologized while admitting to taking advantage of the demand for RV sites the oil boom provided. He spent about an hour with us after offering to let us back into a rough site in the front parking lot by the office and a small goldfish pond. Seems that at one point there may have been an intended site there as there was a 30 amp pedestal, but no water or sewer. He disconnected the hose from the pond and we connected to that, tho only for basic plumbing as the water was very brown. Hard to rate this park as we really didn't enter and ear plugs did little to muffle the big rigs blasting past on SR 90. But the owner and staff were super friendly and tried their hardest to accommodate us as best as they could. YMMV, call ahead and make sure they can take you!

In te Domine speravi (En ti he esperado, Señor).

Bankrupt South Texas beef processor sold      Cache   Translate Page

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — A South Texas beef processor has been sold to a North Carolina real estate developer at a court-approved bankruptcy auction.

Corpus Christi-based Sam Kane Beef Processors had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month . In a statement, JDH Capital Co. of Charlotte, North Carolina, said it intends to make “meaningful investments in the processing plant and will continue to operate the business as a going concern.

The slaughterhouse had agreed in a July federal court settlement to pay nearly $38 million over 18 months that it owed to livestock sellers. Federal law requires next-business-day payment for livestock purchases. That was after the company was accused of violating a January 2017 order by the U.S. Department of Agriculture requiring the slaughterhouse to make payments when due.
