It would have been enough to humiliate The Evil Ones with their worst playoff loss ever (✓). And, it would have been just fine for Nathan Eovaldi to hurl seven dominant innings against The Pinstriped Posers (✓). Finally, it would have been wicked cool for Brock Holt to deliver the first cycle in MLB playoff history (✓). How about all three? (✓) The Red Sox moved to within one win of advancing to the ALCS with a really satisfying 16-1 shellacking of the Yankees at their own mausoleum. Holt went 4-6 during his historic game—knocking in five runs. He ambushed catcher Austin Romine's first pitch for the home run that cemented the cycle in the 9th. As amazing as Holt's night was, the biggest blow may have been Andrew Benintendi's three-run double that extended Boston's lead to 7-0. And, of course, Eovaldi's brilliant pitching performance—seven innings, five hits, one run, no walks, five strikeouts. Others who had multiple hit games in the 18-hit attack were: Mookie Betts (2-5, 2 RBI, 2 R); Xander Bogaerts (2-6, R); Rafael Devers (2-6, RBI, 2 R); Christian Vazquez (2-6, RBI, R). This was about as pleasurable a win as the Red Sox have delivered in years—shutting up the front-running "fans" at The Concrete Bunker On 161st Street almost from the start. With one more win—either tomorrow behind Rick Porcello or on Thursday/Friday (given the weather) behind Chris Sale—they advance to the ALCS, and bring about Yankee Elimination Day.

Broadcaster and former player Ron Darling has had an interesting few days calling the ALDS for TBS. Referencing the Red Sox getting to Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka in Game 2, he used an old idiom that happens to include a racial slur. During Game 3, when the Red Sox were getting to starter Luis Severino, Darling suggested that the right-hander had gotten a late start warming up, explaining his struggles.

Re: Sightseen Naked Men @ Rivers      Cache   Translate Page
I've seen young men bathing naked on beaches along the Ghana coast especially in Accra and the West Coast. I have also seen men bathing naked outside a bath house near Grace Jones Hotel at Labadi first step junction in Accra. They paid a small fee to the attendant, were given a large enamel basin full of water, soap and flannel and they all stood outside in full view of passers by on the main road, pouring water on themselves with a plastic bowl, soaping down their naked bodies, washing their cocks, balls, assholes etc and it was all normality, no one was taking a blind bit of notice. Then one of the bathers saw a pretty young lady walking past and he got a spontaneous erection, called out to her endearingly and began swinging his long soapy erection in a very provocative manner but he lady just turned her face in the opposite direction, did her best to ignore him and walked past as quickly as she could looking quite embarrassed and feeling harassed. Of course I had a very good look, laughed and enjoyed the view as I walked past feeling my cock rising & precum wetting my boxer shorts. So, I recommend Ghana for that but I heard that other African countries are similar, especially Kenya which has many quiet or isolated beaches not much visited by tourists where you can meet very well endowed guys and enjoy hot sex in a lot of hiding places... Beaches in Togo and Benin are probably equally as good. In some landlocked countries you will also have riverside and lakeside beaches where you will see naked guys bathing. Ghana too has a lakeside beach in it's Eastern Region which I hope to try out on my next visit there. Have fun!

From www gvnet.com I transfer the fllowing passage.

Human Trafficking and Modern-day Slavery

The Gambia is a source, transit, and destination country for children and women trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and commercial sexual exploitation. Within The Gambia, women and girls, and to a lesser extent boys, are trafficked for sexual exploitation, in particular to meet the demand for European sex tourism, and for domestic servitude. Boys are trafficked within the country for forced begging by religious teachers and for street vending. Transnationally, women, girls and boys from neighboring countries are trafficked to The Gambia for the same purposes listed above. Primary source countries are Senegal, Mali, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea and Benin. Trafficking of Gambian boys to Senegal for forced begging and Senegalese boys to The Gambia for the same purpose is particularly prevalent. Gambian women and girls are trafficked to Senegal for domestic servitude, and possibly for sexual exploitation. Gambian women and children may be trafficked to Europe through trafficking schemes disguised as migrant smuggling. Reports in the last two years of Gambian, Senegalese, and nationals of other neighboring countries being transported from The Gambia to Spain by boat appear to be predominantly cases of smuggling rather than trafficking. - U.S. State Dept Trafficking in Persons Report, June, 2008 [

Annette Bening, Gary Cole, and Ed Asner Join Cast of IF ALL THE SKY WERE PAPER      Cache   Translate Page

In honor of the 100th year of Veterans Day and the fifth anniversary of the founding of the Center for American War Letters at Chapman University, the play If All the Sky Were Paper is coming home to Chapman's Musco Center for the Arts stage for a special Veteran's Day performance on Saturday, November 10 at 7:30pm. Acclaimed academy-nominated and returning actor Annette Bening, popular actor Gary Cole (VEEP), Daytime Emmy Award winning actress Kate Mansi, and celebrated actor Ed Asner have joined the cast to date. In addition, acclaimed composer Peter Boyer has created an original and compelling score for this production performed with live musicians.

If All the Sky Were Paper is a powerful, humorous, and unforgettable play about one man, Andrew Carrol, and his journey around the world for the "most extraordinary war letters ever written." The play features actual letters written by troops and their loved ones from the American Revolution to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In the play, Andrew Carroll is portrayed by a Narrator, who recounts Carroll's real-life travels around the world, which are at times heartbreaking and harrowing, and inspiring. Professional and Celebrity Actors portray the military men and women (as well as their loved ones at home) who wrote the letters. Each of these letters chosen for the Play express the full spectrum of emotions and experiences in times of war-from the ferocity of combat to moments of camaraderie and levity. These are remarkable communications as captured during intimate moments of wartime.

If All The Sky Were Paper is directed by John Benitz, and produced by Victoria Morris of Lexikat Artists in collaboration with Chapman's Department of Theater and Musco Center. The play is written by historian Andrew Carroll and is based on Carroll's search across the globe for the most riveting and powerful war letters ever written. The play features letters from Carroll's two New York Times bestsellers War Lettersand Behind the Lines, all brought to life by an ensemble cast of actors.

"There has, I believe, never been a coordinated initiative of this size and scope to save American war-related letters and emails," Carroll says. "These correspondences help us honor and remember the troops, veterans, and military family members who have served this nation-these are their words, their voices, and no one can tell their stories better than they can. I also hope this campaign encourages people to write letters to their loved ones about their wartime experiences, even if they relate to events that happened years ago."

"In having actors bring these letters to life, we are allowing these brave troops and their loved one's stories to live on in If All the Sky Were Paper," said John Benitz, director of the play and chair of Chapman University's Department of Theater.

The play premiered at Chapman University in 2010 and has been presented at The Kennedy Center and LA's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Actors who have previously performed in the play includeLaura Dern, Annette Bening, Common, Gary Cole, Ken Howard, Lauren Bowles, Peter Strauss, Mary Steenburgen, Jeanne Philips (aka Dear Abby), Sandra Seacat, Brad Hall, Scott Simon, and Kate Mansi.

If All the Sky Were Paper will be performed on Saturday, November 10 at 7:30pm at Chapman University's Musco Center for the Performing Arts. Running time is 80 minutes. Tickets are available at muscocenter.org and range in price from $25-$65 with special 50% discounts for veterans and Chapman students.

I see your point, especially with Benintendi running, although quality and quickness of pick off move, pitch time to the plate, and catcher CS rates have to be considered. Regarding 3-0 count with big lead and desire to drive up pitch counts, there's surefire guarantee of at least three more pitches by taking. If it's a ball, it guarantees a minimum 3 more pitches to the next batter should he take. If it's a strike, the AB continues and guarantees more pitches. So if the objective is to drive up pitch counts, there's far more certainty by not swinging. Even the hitters with the best BABIP's still make reams of outs. But if the objective is to further run up the score rather than opponent pitch counts, I agree, swing away especially on favorable counts to good hitters.

I am rather tired of the "unwritten rules". For one thing, when the Red Sox went up 10-1, my first thought was that they better keep hitting, because the Yankees in that park can score runs in bunches. I wasn't sure if 10-1 would be enough last night. It turns out that it was, but with the offense the Yankees are capable of, no team should give up any at bats to them.

World's Most Powerful Passport Revealed As Countries' Global Rankings Shift      Cache   Translate Page
Japan passport holders will find it easier than ever to travel the world, as their travel documents have just moved up in the global Henley Passport Index to take the top spot.

The Henley Passport Index is a ranking of all of the passports in the world based on the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free.

Until now Japan had been sharing joint first place with Singapore, which gained visa-free access to Uzbekistan earlier this year bringing its total to 189 countries.

However, earlier this month Japan gained visa-free access to Myanmar bringing its total to 190 - once again taking it to the top spot.

It's still a milestone for both Japan and Singapore, as 2018 is the first year in the index's 13-year history that either of them has had the most powerful passport in the world.
Both are way ahead of the UK and US which share fifth place with Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria and Luxembourg - but it's worth noting that the top four spots are shared by 10 countries.

Experts had previously revealed that the UK ranking is unlikely to increase until there is certainty regarding Brexit.

Red Sox notebook: Craig Kimbrel survives scare for save      Cache   Translate Page

NEW YORK -- Craig Kimbrel might have gotten lucky.

Gary Sanchez came very close to hitting a game-ending grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning last night.

Kimbrel served up a down-the-middle fastball at 98 mph to Sanchez, who demolished it high into the night sky.

It was too high.

The ball died at the warning track, and Kimbrel got a groundout from Gleyber Torres to end the 4-3 win, finish the American League Division Series and send the Red Sox into a celebration on their rivals' home field for the second time in less than three weeks.

“The 3-2 to Sanchez was pretty nerve-wracking, but it got to the second out, and we were able to get through it,” Kimbrel said.

Wild from the start, he walked Aaron Judge to start the inning, then gave up a single to Didi Gregorius to bring the tying run to the plate in Giancarlo Stanton. But Stanton didn't have it in this series (4-for-18, no RBI), and Kimbrel got him to chase a slider for strike three.

With one out, Kimbrel walked Luke Voit to load the bases, then plunked Neil Walker on the first pitch of the at-bat to bring in one run. The Sanchez at-bat almost ruined his night.

“I’m not going out there trying to do that,” Kimbrel said. “I’m trying to have a 1-2-3 inning, but it doesn’t always work out like that. At the end of the day, we got the win, and we’re looking forward to Houston.”

The final out was challenged at first base and upheld, delaying the celebration for one minute.

"This game was one of the toughest games, one of the most nerve-wracking games,” shortstop Xander Bogaerts said. “I don't think the most nervous game or something like that, but I think the final outs of that game, with guys on base and Gary Sanchez hit that ball up and the air and I'm like, ‘Oh my God.’ Then you've got (Andrew Benintendi who) was going slowly back to the wall and I'm like, 'Stop going back! You're making me nervous.' And he caught the ball, and we won, and it was amazing."

ASTROS NO JOKE

Next up, the Houston Astros, who demolished the Indians in a three-game sweep.

“I don't know too much about them, just they have a good team,” joked manager Alex Cora, who was the bench coach for the Astros last year. “What they did to the Indians, that was impressive. It seems like they're playing their best baseball of the season at the right time. They can pitch. They're playing good defense. They're swinging the bat well. They're a complete team.

“I've been talking about them the whole season, so now we go. Best of seven. They know me. I know them. It should be fun.”

The Astros took 3-of-4 from the Sox in the ALDS last year and now get a chance at a rematch.

"It's about time, it's about time,” Bogaerts said. “It was tough in this first round for a while, but I think this is a group we have that is pretty special.

"We know they're a good team, but we have the best record this year, and we start at home. We start at home, so our confidence is pretty high."

Game 1 will be Saturday at Fenway Park at 8:09 p.m. ET and Game 2, also at Fenway, will be Sunday at 7:09 p.m. ET. Both games are on TBS.

The Patriots play the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET.

MORE HEAT ON ANGEL

Home plate umpire Angel Hernandez made headlines after four of his calls at first base were challenged in Game 3, and three of them were overturned.

He called the balls and strikes last night, leading to Yankees starter CC Sabathia questioning Hernandez’ ability after the lefty allowed three runs in three innings before getting pulled.

“He’s absolutely terrible,” Sabathia told reporters. “He was terrible behind the plate today. He was terrible at first base. It’s amazing how he’s getting jobs umpiring in these playoff games.”

Red Sox starter Rick Porcello went five innings, giving up one run.

“Throw it to the bottom of the plate, CC,” Porcello said. “I thought Angel Hernandez called a good game. You have to get it over the right part of the plate to get strikes called. That’s all I have to say about that.”

TURNABOUT IS FAIR PLAY

The Red Sox celebrated by playing Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” in their clubhouse after the game. The Yankees celebrated with that song on a boombox carried by Aaron Judge throughout Fenway Park after Game 2. ...

Mitch Moreland was again on the bench with hamstring soreness, though Cora said he was available to pinch hit (he didn’t). Tzu-Wei Lin is now working out with the team in case Moreland needs to be replaced on the roster going into the ALCS. ...

According to ESPN, playoff teams who score first are 14-2 this year, with both losses by the Indians. The Red Sox scored first both nights in Yankee Stadium and will now play in the ALCS for the 11th time in franchise history. ...

The Red Sox hit .400 with runners in scoring position this series; the Yankees hit .154.

Red Sox Yankees ALDS Game 4 highlights, recap       Cache   Translate Page
The Boston Red Sox are through to the American League Championship Series, eliminating the Yankees in Game 4 of the ALDS by stymying a ninth-inning comeback for a 4-3 victory.

Rookie Gleyber Torres, with runners on first and second and two outs in the bottom of the ninth, grounded out to end the Yankees' 100-win campaign earlier than expected but not without one final fight.

It was a far more nervy finish than expected seeing as the Red Sox were cruising into the ninth inning up 4-1.

Starter Rick Porcello went five strong innings, allowing just one run on four hits before a combined bullpen effort of Matt Barnes, Ryan Brasier and ace Chris Sale set down nine Yankees in a row.

But then closer Craig Kimbrel entered the game and all hell broke loose.

He loaded the bases after walking Aaron Judge, a Didi Gregorius single and walking Luke Voit with one out. The Yankees moved within two when Kimbrel proceeded to hit Neil Walker to make it a 4-2 game.

Gary Sanchez made Boston and New York hearts leap into throats after flying out to the warning track to move the Yankees to within a run with two outs to set things up for Torres groundout, Eduardo Nunez's throw narrowly beating the speedy second baseman.

The Red Sox used a three-run third inning to build an early lead off veteran southpaw CC Sabathia, who had built a reputation as being a stopper for New York after losses.

However, manager Aaron Boone is likely to face criticism once again for the handling of his pitching staff, especially after the Game 3 debacle that saw the Yankees pummeled 16-1.

While Sabathia didn't have his plus stuff from the start, he was able to battle through the first two innings unscathed before the dooming third. Though there were some nervy moments when Ian Kinsler flew out to the warning track with the bases loaded and two outs in the first inning.

Sabathia led off the third by hitting Andrew Benintendi before surrendering a single to Steve Pearce. With runners at the corner, J.D. Martinez drove in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly.

Following a Xander Boegarts groundout and a Sabathia wild pitch, Kinsler doubled to score Pearce before scoring on an Eduardo Nunez single all with two outs.

That was all for Sabathia, who had a long leash despite getting into trouble on multiple occasions in his short start. It was expected to be his final outing as a Yankee.

Christian Vazquez added more question marks to Boone's decision-making with a Yankee Stadium special of a home run off reliever Zach Britton in the fourth, lofting an opposite-field 338-foot home run that nestled into the first row of the right-field stands.

It was more than enough support for Porcello, who had a lot to prove in his Game 4 start.

Over his first two postseasons with the Red Sox, the New Jersey native had an ERA of over 7.50. In his backyard, Porcello's lone blemish of the night came in the fifth when Brett Gardner's sacrifice fly scored Sanchez.

The Red Sox will face the defending World Series champion Houston Astros in the ALCS beginning Saturday. One year ago, the Astros knocked the Yankees out in seven games to capture the American League pennant.

https://www.ilsole24ore.com/art/impresa-e-territori/2018-10-05/eni-scoperto-adriatico-mega-giacimento-metano-072744.shtml?uuid=AEgl0JHG

Sorpresa.

Metabolizzare i dati

Lavori in corso

Cache   Translate Page

Have fun!
Re: Sex tourism in Gambia...      Cache   Translate Page

Boone lamenta no haber retirado antes a Severino      Cache   Translate Page

Roma, africani sequestrano personale ambasciata e pestano dipendenti      Cache   Translate Page
