Dhuna shpërtheu pasi një shtetas sudanez 30-vjeçar u arrestua dhe u akuzua për tentim-vrasje lidhur me një sulm me thikë në Belfast. Viktima pësoi lëndime në sy, fytyrë dhe shpinë. Pas incidentit, protesta dhe trazira u përhapën në disa zona të qytetit.
Gjatë natës, shtëpi, automjete dhe një autobus u dogjën, ndërsa qindra persona të maskuar u panë duke marshuar nëpër rrugë, duke ndezur zjarre dhe duke dëmtuar prona. Shërbimi zjarrfikës ndërhyri në 62 incidente, shumica në zonën e Belfastit.
Sipas dëshmive të banorëve dhe përfaqësuesve lokalë, disa nga sulmet duket se kishin në shënjestër komunitetet e emigrantëve. Në veri të Belfastit u sulmuan shtëpi të familjeve me origjinë afrikane, ndërsa një familje ukrainase u detyrua të largohej nga banesa pasi dera e shtëpisë së tyre iu vu zjarri.
Po ashtu, në zona të tjera u raportuan sulme ndaj bizneseve dhe pronave të lidhura me komunitetet e huaja. Disa dëshmitarë thanë se protestuesit brohorisnin slogane kundër të huajve dhe kërkonin largimin e tyre.
Udhëheqësit politikë të Irlandës së Veriut dënuan ashpër ngjarjet. Kryeministrja e Irlandës së Veriut, Michelle O’Neill, deklaroi se “djegia e familjeve brenda shtëpive të tyre është një akt i turpshëm dhe frikacak”. Ministrja e Drejtësisë, Naomi Long, akuzoi grupe të ekstremit të djathtë dhe nxitës në rrjetet sociale për përhapjen e tensioneve racore.
Policia ka shtuar praninë në terren dhe ka paralajmëruar se personat e përfshirë në trazira do të identifikohen dhe do të përballen me drejtësinë.
]]>Sipas zëdhënësit të KQZ-së, Valmir Elezi, qendrat që kanë përfunduar këto aktivitete janë: Junik (6/6), Shtërpcë (17/17), Hani i Elezit (11/11), Partesh (7/7) dhe Mamushë (5/5).
“Procesi i numërimit dhe verifikimit po vazhdon në 32 QKN-të tjera: Deçan, Dragash, Ferizaj, Fushë Kosovë, Gjakovë, Gjilan, Drenas (Gllogoc), Graçanicë, Istog, Kaçanik, Kamenicë, Klinë, Kllokot, Leposaviq, Lipjan, Malishevë, Mitrovicë e Jugut, Mitrovicë e Veriut, Novobërdë, Obiliq, Pejë, Podujevë, Prishtinë, Prizren, Rahovec, Ranillug, Skenderaj, Suharekë, Viti, Zubin Potok dhe Zveçan”, tha ai.
Ndërkaq, Elezi bëri të ditur se në Qendrën Komunale të Numërimit në Vushtrri është zhvilluar numërimi në 10 vendvotime, por rezultatet nuk kanë mundur të procesohen sipas procedurave për shkak të disa problemeve teknike me rrjetin e internetit.
“Për rrjedhojë, kutitë e votimit janë mbyllur dhe siguruar sipas procedurave përkatëse, ndërsa procesi do të vazhdojë gjatë ditës. Këto vendvotime do të numërohen sërish për procedim të rregullt të rezultateve”, sqaroi Elezi.
Sipas të dhënave deri të hënën në mesnatë (8 qershor 2026, ora 23:59), numri i përgjithshëm i vendvotimeve të procesuara, që i takojnë 37 QKN-ve, është 486 nga 2,498 vendvotime, apo 19.46%.

Sipas tij, para nisjes së numërimit do të bëhet verifikimi i rezultateve të subjekteve politike nga formularët e plotësuar në vendvotime.
“Sot në Qendrat Komunale të Numërimit (QKN) do të fillojë procesi i numërimit të votave të kandidatëve për deputetë. Paraprakisht do të bëhet verifikimi i rezultateve të subjekteve politike nga formularët e plotësuar në vendvotime”, ka deklaruar Elezi.
Ai ka bërë të ditur gjithashtu se Komisioni Qendror i Zgjedhjeve do të mbajë një konferencë për media gjatë pasdites.
“Për fillimin e verfikimit/numërimit në të gjitha komunat dhe për të njoftuar për aktivitetet e KQZ-së pas ditës së zgjedhjeve, do të mbajmë konferencë për media në orën 16:30, në QKN ‘1 Tetori’ në Prishtinë”, ka thënë Elezi.
Sipas tij, procesi i numërimit të votave të subjekteve politike në të gjitha vendvotimet është përmbyllur të dielën në mbrëmje, më 7 qershor, ndërsa të gjitha materialet zgjedhore tashmë janë dorëzuar në Qendrat Komunale të Numërimit, ku do të vazhdojnë procedurat e verifikimit dhe numërimit të votave për kandidatët për deputetë.
]]>Në konferencën për media, kryetari i KQZ-së, Kreshnik Radoniqi bëri të ditur se nga 96.84% të kutive të votimit qëndron ky rezultat:
Lëvizja Vetëvendosje – 43,06%
Partia Demokratike e Kosovës – 21,24%
Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës – 17,70%
Aleanca për Ardhmërinë e Kosovës – 7,07%.
Ai tha se nga nesër do të fillojë numërimi në Qendrat Komunale të Numërimit, e që te disa nisë në orën 9:00 të mëngjesit te disa 16:00 pasdite.
Në një prononcim për mediat, Trump u pyet për numrin e tankerëve të naftës që administrata e tij ka arritur të kalojë përmes ngushticës.
Ai u përgjigj se janë “shumë”, pa dhënë shifra të sakta, duke shtuar se zgjidhja e situatës “nuk do të zgjasë shumë”.
“Do të doja të mos e tregoja numrin, por janë shumë,” tha Trump, duke theksuar se normalizimi i qarkullimit të naftës në këtë rajon strategjik mund të sjellë një rënie të ndjeshme të çmimeve, madje “ndoshta edhe më poshtë se nivelet e mëparshme”.
Deklaratat e presidentit amerikan vijnë në një kohë kur ShBA-ja po përballet me presion politik për shkak të rritjes së çmimeve të karburanteve, një çështje që mund të ndikojë edhe në zgjedhjet e ardhshme të mesmandatit.

]]>Ekziston një dallim esencial në mes të intelektualit të ideologjizuar dhe intelektualit me ideal! I pari shkrihet për interes të ideologjisë, të cilën e prodhon struktura e organizuar partiake dhe, i dyti, shkrihet për ideal i cili arrihet vetëm pasi të sendërtohet e drejta dhe liria absolute individuale apo edhe etnike. Të parët, ndonëse mund të jenë me mijëra e me shumë famë, sapo të shuhet ideologjia, shuhen edhe ata (ku ngelën intelektualët e fundit, ata komunizmit?), kurse të dytët, përjetë ngelin në memorien e kombit, në historinë e përbotshme!
Pra, është interes partiak që sa më shumë t’ia arrijë që të idealogjizojë intelektualë. Ky interes gjithnjë është në konflikt me vlerat universale, siç janë e drejta, e vërteta, e mira, liria, barazia etj. Së këndejmi, është interes ekskluzivisht partiak që nga anëtarët e vet, përfshirë këtu edhe intelektualët, të kërkojë vetëm lojalitet (pra, jo interesim pas ideales). Ata që insistojnë në drejtësi apo që angazhohen për një të drejtë, ata edhe mund të përjashtohen nga radhët partiake, si rebelë. Gjithnjë për partinë lojaliteti vihet para së vërtetës! Madje, edhe gjatë një shkarkimi eventual të intelektualit nga partia, lojaliteti i tij duhet të përfundojë me vetëkritikë për moslojalitet! Asnjë ideologji si koncept nuk ka të parapara masa ndëshkimore për moslojalitet, do me thënë, lojaliteti i masave, përfshirë këtu edhe i intelektualëve, i intereson vetëm strukturës udhëheqëse të partisë.
Intelektualët e mirëfilltë, thellë në vete, më shumë e ndjejnë kulturën se sa organizimin partiak, më shumë e ndjejnë si sfidë zhvillimin kulturor se sa përforcimin partiak! Partitë tona, përfundimisht, kulturën e kanë diku kah fundi në listën e prioriteteve partiake. Sepse kjo do angazhim intelektual; sepse kjo mund të jetë një derë e vogël prej nga mund të ikë lojaliteti.
Angazhimet eventuale të intelektualëve brenda partisë, pra angazhimet e tyre për shtimin e vlerave kulturore, për të mirën, për të bukurën, në njërën anë dhe, në anën tjetër, frikën partiake për shkeljen e lojalitetit që është shpirti i një partie, mund të çojë deri te ndonjë “revolucion”, sektarizim, madje edhe fragmentarizim partiak, me çka, mund të vije deri te themelimi i ndonjë “lëvizje politike”, të cilat pastaj sërish në kult do ta ngrenë lojalitetin! “Revolucioni” dhe lojaliteti partiak janë dy elementë ciklikë, dy rrota të pandalshme që rrezikojnë përplasjen e idealit i cili prodhon dhe provokon ngritjen e strukturave politike!
Intelektuali revolucionar është gjithnjë i pakënaqshëm, gjithnjë në vrapim pas sa më të mirës, si vlerë kulturore, gjithnjë pas rezultateve që e ngulfasin lojalitetin. Fundja, lojaliteti partiak nuk është asgjë tjetër përveçse servilizëm i cili shton destruktivitetin, dekadencën, robërinë!
Fare në fund, intelektualiteti partiak nuk merret me ngritjen në “kult partie” të lojalistëve apo servilëve, por, fatmirësisht, angazhohet për përjetësinë e intelektualëve militantë, të cilët (pas vdekjes) kalojnë në institucione partiake, duke mbajtur me krenari emrat e tyre. E keqja e këtij “nderimi” është se, këta persona, sado që mund të kenë qenë intelektual të mëdhenj, megjithatë, kanë qenë (dhe kanë vdekur!) lojalistë të papërmirësueshëm, prandaj dhe ngelin “të famshmit e partisë”, pa atë aureolën e kombëtares, e shtetërores.
Intelektualët dhe partitë duhet të perceptohen dhe të kuptohen si dy elementë që sjellin harmoninë e domosdoshme, si shpirti dhe fuqia, si toka dhe qielli, si uji dhe zjarri.
Partitë duhet të kuptojnë se pa intelektualë nuk mund të funksionojnë, ose funksionojnë, por skajshmërish të varfër në shpirt! Intelektualët mund të funksionojnë fare lehtë jashtë çdo partie dhe ta luftojnë guximshëm lojalitetin dhe servilizmin partiak! /HEJZA/
Xhelozia vret dashurinë, por jo dëshirën. Ky është ndëshkimi i vërtetë i pasionit të tradhtuar. Urren gruan që prishi paktin e dashurisë, por vazhdon ta dëshirosh, sepse tradhtia e saj qe prova e vetë pasionit të saj. Xhelozia tregon se një lidhje dashurie nuk mbaron me mospërfillje. E dashura që na braktis duhet të ketë zgjuarsinë për të na fyer, poshtëruar dhe sulmuar egërsisht që të mos e harrojmë e të tërhiqemi me durim, që të vazhdojmë ta lakmojmë në emrin zvetënues të atij vullneti erotik që është xhelozia.
Norman Miler thotë se xhelozia është galeria e portreteve, ku xhelozi është administratori i vetë muzeut. Unë vlerësoj se xhelozia është si një jetë brenda jetës tonë. Mund të marrim avionin e të kthehemi në qytetin tonë apo në një qytet të huaj, mund të thërrasim miqtë e, ndonjëherë, të falim armiqtë, po tërë kohën, jemi duke jetuar tjetër jetë, që, megjithëse brenda nesh, me ligjet e veta, është e veçantë.
Ajo jetë brenda nesh është xhelozia e cila manifestohet fizikisht dhe, siç thotë një shprehje meksikane, na i bie zorrët në fyt. Një valë e tërbuar, e hidhur si shafran, që egërsohet, ngrihet e ulet nga zemra tek zorrët dhe nga zorrët tek seksi i paralizuar; një seks, tashmë, i pavlefshëm, i kthyer në invalid lufte.
I shkreti organ, të vjen t’i varësh një medalje! E më vonë, një kurorë funebre. Por, kjo valë xhelozie nuk gëzon asgjë, dhe, për shumë kohë, nuk ndalet në asnjë pjesë të trupit. E përshkon trupin si një lëng i helmët dhe objektivi i tij nuk është ta shkatërrojë, por ta mbërthejë e ta shtypë, në mënyrë që një pjesë e atyre lëngjeve të ngjiten deri në kokë, të mbërthehen, ashtu të gjelbra e të forta si luspa gjarpri, në gjuhën tonë, në shpirtin tonë, në vështrimin tonë.
Xhelozia na bën të ndihemi të përzënë nga jeta, sikur të na kishte vdekur një qenie e dashur. Veçse dhimbjen për një vdekje mund ta shfaqim. Përkundrazi, dhimbja që shkakton xhelozia duhet konsideruar e zezë dhe e helmët, ndryshe nuk evitohet dhimbja dhe grotesku i saj.
Një xhelozi e ekspozuar i bën të tjerët të qeshin me ne. Është si të kthehesh në mituri, në atë moshë fatkeqe ku gjithçka që bëjmë publikisht – të ecurit, të folurit, të shikuarit – mund të jetë objekt gazi për tjetrin. Mituria dhe xhelozia na ndajnë nga jeta, na pengojnë ta jetojmë atë.

A British government operation established to counter Russian disinformation has expanded to Iran, China and Gaza, according to leaked Foreign Office files examined by David Miller, a British political sociologist and investigative researcher specialising in the study of propaganda and political influence.
Miller’s investigation for MintPress News draws on internal government pages and an organizational chart naming officials, specialist teams and private contractors. The documents expose part of a state apparatus that operates with little public scrutiny while monitoring and countering narratives deemed threatening to British interests.
At the centre of the files is the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s Information Threats and Influence Directorate. Its teams covered Russia, China and Iran, while another structure worked on Israel and Gaza. Miller reports that the directorate was later absorbed into the Cyber, Information and Tech Threats Directorate. Its functions now appear to fall within the broader Hybrid Threats Directorate.
Iran was not merely added to a list of foreign concerns. Miller reports that leaked charts place the China and Iran desk under the same official who led a semi-detached team focused on Israel and Gaza, with personnel developing proactive campaigns alongside regional and communications departments. The documents therefore place work concerning Iran, Israel and Gaza within an overlapping institutional structure, showing how the same Foreign Office information-threat structure could be directed across related geopolitical issues.
The Gaza operation emerges amid an unprecedented crackdown on Palestine solidarity in Britain. The government proscribed Palestine Action under terrorism legislation in July 2025. Since then, more than 3,300 people have been arrested and over 1,200 charged with terrorism-related offences, many for peacefully opposing the ban. The UN human rights chief warned that the proscription misused counterterrorism law and threatened freedom of expression, assembly and association.
The leaked files expose another layer of state power behind that visible police response. Government analysts monitor political narratives and trace how they circulate, while intelligence agencies, communications teams and contractors develop measures against activity classified as foreign manipulation. Ministers have already portrayed pro-Palestinian demonstrations as having been “hijacked” by people seeking to sow division. Within the information-threat apparatus described by Miller, such rhetoric can recast opposition to British support for Israel as something imported, manipulated or dangerous rather than a genuine political response to the destruction of Gaza.
Once dissent enters that system, official assessments can shape government messaging, engagement with online platforms, funding decisions and how people are treated across public institutions. The machinery exposed by Miller allows officials to define the threat, identify its alleged carriers and intervene without disclosing the evidence behind those judgments.
Parliamentary oversight has not kept pace. The Intelligence and Security Committee has warned that security functions transferred into policy departments have escaped its scrutiny. The government blocked attempts to extend the committee’s remit to bodies including the Counter Disinformation Unit and the Foreign Office’s intelligence policy department, preventing what the committee called “effective scrutiny by Parliament.”
When an organic protest movement can be branded a foreign influence threat and its supporters arrested under terrorism law, who prevents a hidden information-war apparatus from treating political opposition as an enemy of the state?

The FBI wanted Samuel Tunick’s phone, waited until his plane landed, and sent in a counterterrorism team that said it needed no warrant, but when the search failed, the prosecution began.
When Atlanta activist Samuel Tunick returned from the Dominican Republic on January 24, 2025, federal officers were waiting at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. His lawyers say FBI Atlanta Joint Terrorism Task Force Officer Burnham and Special Agent Andrea Coble had arranged for US Customs and Border Protection to question him and search his phone before he landed.
The searching officer identified in the indictment belonged to Customs and Border Protection’s Tactical Terrorism Response Team, a specialist counterterrorism unit operating at ports of entry, and whose personnel specialise in counterterrorism response and enforcement operations. Records produced by the government and cited by the defence say the operation concerned Tunick’s association with Defend the Atlanta Forest, the movement opposing Atlanta’s $115 million police and firefighter training centre, widely known as Cop City. Tunick has not been charged with committing a crime through the movement.
According to the record, Customs officers diverted him into secondary inspection, questioned him and demanded the passcodes to a Google Pixel phone and an electronic reader. “When it comes to immigration and customs, right, it’s a whole different ballgame,” one officer said in a recorded exchange quoted by the defence. “We have search authority, we don’t need a warrant.”
Tunick eventually supplied the codes. Prosecutors say the code entered into his phone caused the screen to go blank, flash and restart, deleting its digital contents before officers could examine them. Nearly ten months later, he was indicted for allegedly destroying property to prevent the government from taking it into custody. In July, the government called three customs officials at the hearing on his effort to suppress the airport evidence. No FBI witness appeared on the public witness list.
Interestingly, what started as a counterterrorism referral and became a warrantless customs search now turns on the one thing agents never managed to do: unlock the phone.
The Search
According to Tunick’s motion, the officers introduced themselves by saying they were looking for “people who are pedophiles.” The defence says the government’s reports recorded no prior suspicion that he possessed child-exploitation material. They pointed instead to his ties to Defend the Atlanta Forest, which the government depicted in records cited by Tunick’s lawyers as an “Anti-Government, Anti-Authority Violent Extremist Group.”
After the phone restarted, officers inspected every item in his bag. A third officer took him into another room for a body search after Tunick said he did not consent. The search was not recorded. When he returned, the camera captured him putting his sweatshirt back on.
A Department of Homeland Security agent then arrived with three more agents and tried to interview him again. Tunick declined and pointed to his attorney’s card, already on the table. The agent said Tunick was not under arrest but would be free to leave only when the other officers were finished. His phone and electronic reader were seized, with a promise that they would be returned after 30 days.
A grand jury returned a sealed indictment on November 13, 2025. It charges Tunick under Title 18, United States Code, Section 2232(a), and identifies the searching officer only as “Supervisory Officer L.C.” The docket records an arrest warrant issued the same day and executed on December 3, when the indictment was unsealed, and Tunick pleaded not guilty.
The Counterterrorism Unit
Officer L.C. belonged to the Tactical Terrorism Response Team (TTRT). The unit did not arrest Tunick at the airport. Its officers intercepted him, questioned him and tried to search his phone, which he refused. It was that very encounter that produced the allegation used to charge him months later.
The unit is not an informal airport detail. Its personnel must maintain security clearances, and the Department of Homeland Security’s Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties investigated its training, activities, policies and procedures at major international airports. The Intercept reported that its officers questioned roughly 600,000 travellers between 2017 and 2019, about 180,000 of them US citizens.
Its methods later surfaced in litigation involving journalists, lawyers and advocates associated with migrant caravans at the southern border. One was New York pastor Kaji Dousa. Leaked records showed customs officials had placed her on a secret watchlist of journalists, attorneys and advocates. A Department of Homeland Security inspector general found that she was among at least 51 US citizens tracked in the operation, and that nearly half the government’s lookouts involved people for whom there was no evidence of direct participation in illegal activity. A federal judge ruled in 2023 that the government violated Dousa’s constitutional rights.
Tunick’s lawyers say Burnham and Coble used that border apparatus in Atlanta. Joint Terrorism Task Forces combine federal, state and local officers in national-security investigations. In this case, the border checkpoint allegedly gave FBI personnel access to a search power they would not ordinarily possess inside the country.
The Hunt for Devices
A separate FBI operation targeting Defend the Atlanta Forest shows investigators taking another route to the same airport.
They sought the person behind defendtheatlantaforest@protonmail.com, an address presented as the movement’s main contact on Facebook and a blog that publicised protests and actions against the training centre. An affidavit reported by 404 Media showed that an agent assigned to a domestic-terrorism squad obtained subscriber information through a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty request to Switzerland.
Proton, the encrypted email provider based in Switzerland, supplied payment-related information to Swiss authorities under a Swiss order. The data reached the FBI through the international legal-assistance process and identified a person investigators believed had paid for the account. Investigators then obtained that person’s travel plans and prepared to execute a conventional search warrant at Atlanta’s airport.
That operation involved another person and a separate warrant. The record reviewed for this article does not show that agents applied for and failed to obtain a warrant for Tunick’s phone. In one operation, investigators went to a judge. In Tunick’s case, they allegedly routed the search through customs officers who told him they needed no warrant.
The comparison forms part of a larger pattern of efforts to reach the movement’s communications. On February 8, 2024, a joint task force involving the Atlanta Police Department, FBI, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives raided three Atlanta homes linked by police to Stop Cop City. Officers seized laptops, phones, memory cards, a modem and movement materials. Police announced no charges under the array of federal statutes cited in the warrants at the time.
Georgia prosecutors had already shown how heavily authorities valued activist phones. In the state racketeering case against 61 Cop City opponents, prosecutors argued that a protester’s use of a “burner” phone could support an inference of criminal intent. The National Lawyers Guild warned that this risked treating ordinary precautions against surveillance as evidence of wrongdoing. The state also amassed more than five terabytes of evidence. A 2024 defence motion accused prosecutors of obtaining and circulating attorney-client emails collected through Google warrants, according to The Guardian.
The techniques reached different parts of a movement without a conventional membership list. Payment records could identify who funded an anonymous account, blog access could reveal who controlled its public communications, and devices seized from homes could yield stored documents and conversations. Ultimately, a phone intercepted at an airport could expose the private contacts connecting them. This suggests that the operations could have offered investigators the raw material to reconstruct a movement through its communications, even if the available record does not establish that they formed part of a single coordinated programme.
The Missing FBI Witnesses
The interagency chain remained partly hidden when the federal court held a suppression hearing on July 20, 2026. The government called Customs and Border Protection Officer Larry Findlay, Chief Officer Jason Thomas Hawkins and Officer Latoya Castro. The public minute sheet lists no FBI witness, although the defence identified Burnham and Coble as the officials who coordinated the operation before Tunick landed.
The officer named in the indictment as Officer L.C. also remains publicly unidentified. Available court records do not connect those initials to any of the three customs witnesses.
The government admitted three discs (unspecified digital-media exhibits), a brochure and an email. The minute sheet does not describe their contents. The email could bear on the alleged coordination, but the public record does not disclose who sent it, who received it or what it said.
The hearing lasted just over two hours and remains open so testimony from a person identified only as Mr. Kane can be supplemented. The minute sheet gives neither Kane’s full name nor his agency or role, and does not list him among the three identified government witnesses.
Tunick’s lawyers are due to file their post-hearing brief on September 18, followed by his reply on October 23. The court will decide whether statements and evidence from the airport operation can be used against him.
That ruling will turn first on the customs encounter, even though the evidence shows that the operation did not begin at customs. According to Tunick’s account, FBI counterterrorism personnel selected a domestic activist for interception and placed his private communications within reach of the government’s exceptional border-search authority. Yet when the operation entered open court, the government’s public witnesses came only from customs. No one from FBI counterterrorism took the stand to explain the operation’s origins.
