Since my website imploded a year or so ago I thought I'd repost these on the blog no one sees! I don't get much of my Disney art approved to share since it's mostly concept art, but these are out there for anyone to look at.They were done about 2000 for the 2001 opening of Tokyo DisneySea park,one of the most visually stunning parks Disney has ever done. I worked on tons of concept art for 20,000 Leagues with art director Scott Sherman, with a good bit of those pieces on display in the ride queue.This was pre-digital, so I used a technique I'd never done before to try and get the look of old illustrations. If I were a good pen and ink guy I would have gone that route. Instead,I used a hybrid style of black and brown Prisma pencil on heavy tracing paper, then ran that through a brownline copier (like a blueprint machine) at full poster size. I then tined the pieces with marker refill color for a watercolor look and went back over the linework to punch it up a bit. Finally some white gouache for detail and then it was sent to graphics for the text. If I did these today the computer would have made my life much easier, but that's how it goes. Considering these were the only 2 finished park posters I got to do, I'm happy with them. I would go in-house to work at Los Angeles area ad agencies doing comps for print ads and storyboards for TV commercials. Fast and furious, my art buddies and I would crank out 8, 10, 16 frame storyboards in a day, often full color! I couldn't keep up that pace these days, but did so for about 15 years before the theme park biz grabbed me full time. Anyway, I'll post a bunch of typical sketches I did over the years, just remember most of these were without reference material and were done at light speed! Which is a great "newer" workout type for me.<br /> <br /> I'm talking about latest new ways to workout. As a girl I walk into a gym, instantly feel lost and confused and don't know where to start or what to do. I join a gym, go for awhile and then usually stop going. For me I need workout classes to keep me moving/dancing and distracted that I am actually burning calories. I love salsa music and dancing so I am a big fan of Zumba and the various knock-offs.<br /> <br /> I am always down to try something new. Especially new ways to get me moving, sweating and toning my body. I recently went to a <a href=" Dancing</a> workout class. I know what you are thinking- crazy right. I went with a small group of two friends. Let me tell you it was a workout. My arms hurt for days! Before we moved offices I was right next to a large window that would have been perfect for a terrarium to thrive. Shortly after the robbery, the two were conspicuously close to the Koning Willem-Alexandertunnel, an underground portion of the A2 in Maastricht, police said.&nbsp;In order to be able to detain them, the tunnel was shut down. That caused long traffic jams on the A2 that stretched for several kilometers.</p><p>With the release of the two Belgians, police no longer have any suspects in custody for the violent crime.&nbsp;Police say they are looking for at least four suspects.&nbsp;The Tefaf robbery was carried out by four men, but may involve others, a police spokesperson said.</p> <p>Video footage taken by witnesses showed four men dressed in sport coats and slacks, with three of them wearing flat caps. One person was seen smashing a glass display with a sledgehammer, and a brick may also have been used to bash a whole into the case. One witness overheard a worker state that <a href=" 27 million euro necklace was stolen</a>. others posited that a pair of Cartier earrings valued at 4 million euros was taken in the heist. Neither authorities nor Tefaf have remarked on the record about the value of the stolen goods.</p><p>Local media outlet L1 reported earlier in the day that <a href=" jewellery was found during a search</a> of the Belgians' vehicle. They were not believed to have even attended the fair, the broadcaster reported Wednesday morning.</p> <p>The spokesperson was unable to provide more information on Wednesday.&nbsp;The police are now calling on visitors who may have recorded video footage with a dashcam to make those images available to the authorities.</p> "The Tefaf is a fair for people with higher-end cars, who often have a dashcam. His intelligence and obsessive fixation on the undiscovered capabilities of Hexing Gems made him admired amongst the faculty. However, his increasingly erratic behavior unnerved his fellow students.<br /> <br /> The Great Academy had no choice but to expel Hogarth in the aftermath of a magical catastrophe that seriously injured three students and cost Hogarth his left arm. (Hogarth’s family were forced to endow the Academy with an exceedingly generous financial donation to keep the details of the “incident” confidential.)<br /> <br /> Banished, injured, and increasingly mad, Hogarth began his two decades of wandering.<br /> <br /> During a perilous excursion to the Hyperborean Mountains, Hogarth found the arena of the Frost Ring. He was the first mortal to step onto the arena floor in more than two thousand years. He quickly became fascinated with this ancient, forgotten place. Hogarth decided to dedicate his life to discovering the arena’s secrets as well as the spirits that haunted its frozen walls.<br /> <br /> Hogarth managed to rebuild his missing arm from magical ice. He also discovered three sentient frozen heads, former members of the Order, which he stuck on a single long pike who became his constant companions:<br /> <br /> • &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Crispin, a human scholar and mage of the Order who claims to know everything about everything.<br /> <br /> • &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Mulug, an orc cleric whose centuries of not having a body have left him embittered.<br /> <br /> • &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Goneril, a female elf warlock who claims to have been the founder and leader of the Order, but Crispin and Mulug both deny the truth of this claim.<br /> <br /> On a crisp autumn morning, a courier handed a wrinkled parchment to Archmage Wrenlocke, chancellor of the Academy of Cerulea. As the Archmage unrolled the soggy scroll, he saw a few scant words scrawled in the shaky hand of a madman:<br /> <br /> <br /> “The Frost Ring has been prepared. The backside of this missive serves as a map to its location. Alert the reckless, the unwise, the imprudent, and tell them to come. Urge them to bring their swords and their spells.
