tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298Wed, 21 Feb 2024 00:24:03 +0000123 Wiki123 Wiki is a working summary of key wiki developments. A wiki is a type of web site designed for quick, collaborative, egalitarian composition. Any group member can make instant edits within a web page. A group can be as public or private as they choose. Today, wiki means team text composition. Tomorrow will this include audio, video and more? Will wikis, discussion groups, email, blogs and static web pages morph, integrate, or harmonize? Stay tuned.noreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)Blogger14125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-112174668977426897Tue, 19 Jul 2005 04:16:00 +00002006-01-02T19:27:40.430-05:00Last UpdateSite elements were last updated January 2, 2006 at 7:30 pm. In contrast to private composition and the comment thread debates of blogging and discussion groups, wiki work is about performing in public to some degree. A wiki requires going beyond arguing about it, or thinking about or reflecting about it. Just do it. Make the change; edit the page; and then wait. The tension can be high in anticipation of approval or of further edits by others. Collaborative editing came of age with the birth of wiki servers. So, when does wiki use apply and not apply? Is it sufficient for all editing needs, or are there partner applications that are essential? Are there privacy and blocking features to control the throttle of editing accessibility? This blog summarizes key wiki developments.2005/06/wiki-thinking.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111998684407567805Tue, 28 Jun 2005 19:00:00 +00002006-03-31T04:19:00.296-05:00Interesting Wiki ExamplesThe premier example of wiki power is <a href=";, a world class encyclopedia. In June 28 around 640,000 articles had been created over 4.5 years, as compared with some 70,000 to 100,000 articles in major commercial encyclopedias. By March 3, 2006, half year later, the 1 million article goal had been reached.<br /><br />Other interesting wikis are emerging in many areas, but many wikis are not yet well established, with significant portions of them incomplete, trivial or lacking in useful information. Here are some of the more substantial wikis:<br /><br />Education: <a href=" Literacy Education</a><br />Reading/Writing: <a href="; ; <a href=" </a>; <a href=" 242 Romantic Writing Project</a><br />Science: <a href=";; <a href=" />Mathematics: <a href=" />Multimedia: <a href=" /><br />Merely visiting and reading a Wiki misses what makes them unique. To understand their power you must edit them. Wiki's are not designed as a spectator sport. Don't be a couch potato; play the game. In Wikipedia.org, <a href="; target="_blank">visit the sandbox</a>, a special set of pages with tutorials that teach and encourage editing in Wikipedia. There are numerous similarities between wikis yet editing procedures may not be exactly the same as one moves from one wiki to the next. Look for the help features in each wiki to review basic edit procedures.<br /><br />Comments with rationale about the value of other wikis are encouraged.2005/06/interesting-wiki-examples.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111998745232970401Tue, 28 Jun 2005 18:40:00 +00002005-06-30T12:39:05.653-04:00Free or Fee Wiki ToolsTo wiki requires wiki style software running on a local networked computer of your own or a hosted service. Long lists of wiki hosting services or wikiware applications themselves are readily available. Just as there are web server and blog servers providing free file storage and Internet sharing services, there are also wiki servers providing free hosting services. Users have taken to calling these wiki farms. Some wiki farms are free and some charge. There are many pages with lists of wiki farms: <a href="; target="_blank">Wikipedia/wiki farms</a>; <a href="; target="_blank">Google Directory</a>; <a href=" Directory</a>. However, searches for comparisons, reviews or evaluations of wiki farm services have yet to be successful.<br /><br />Others have focused on the software applications that run wiki services and have made comparison tables of wikiware options (<a href="; target="_blank">splitbrain</a>; <a href=";). Choices and features change frequently, so doing your own research is essential to having current information. Narrowing these choices from the over 100 available wiki applications can be helped by referring to <a href=" ten lists</a>. Even the top ten lists have trouble staying current. One of the most recent developments in the wiki universe is the concept of an enterprise wiki, a set of intranet documents that anyone in the organization can edit or annotate, such as provided by <a href=" </a>and <a href="; which function like wikis but add additional structure.<br /><br />Free services include free hosting services and free wiki server software, in contrast to paying a fee for more features or buying wiki server software.<br /><br />Still open to debate is the early leadership in wiki hosting. Just as there are variations in blog software depending on the hosting service, so is the case with wiki servers. The features you want will determine the choice of wiki farm. One of those critical features is RSS service for notification of wiki page changes. This includes: <a href="</a>; <a href=";; <a href=" Wiki</a>; and <a href=" Wiki</a>.<br /><br />For a quick experimentation with the wiki way, follow this link get your first wiki page posted at <a href=";.2005/06/free-or-fee-wiki-tools.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111998783606713617Tue, 28 Jun 2005 18:20:00 +00002005-07-02T11:37:09.363-04:00Search Engines for Wiki ContentWiki content changes very rapidly, even more frequently than blog sites. However, RSS notification services of page changes only began to appear in 2004. Beyond the problem of getting wikis to make it standard to send notifications of page changes, another part of the problem is volume. The volume of change in high volume wikis has been too great for global search systems to stay current. However, constructing a localized search engine is within the ability of many programmers.<br /><br />Gobal<br /><br />General purpose wiki search engine <a href=" /><br />Search just wikipedia <a href=" /><br />Local<br /><br />Computer Programming <a href=" a Wiki Search Engine</a>2005/06/search-engines-for-wiki-content.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111998804129548260Tue, 28 Jun 2005 18:00:00 +00002005-07-19T09:09:28.123-04:00Unique Values of the Wiki WayAs compared with a word processor, classic static web site, or blog design, what gives wiki design its value?<br /><br />By definition a wiki is visible across a network, whether a local network or the global Internet. It is by definition a tool designed for collaborative composition and instant change. This is a fundamental value. Its application needs to fit settings and situations in which collaboration and rapid change is relevant. Not all writing is or should be collaborative. Wiki composition also fosters dispute, negotiation, and space for multiple divergent points of view as legitimate perspectives whether right or wrong. Though rapid change is basic, wiki design includes several ways to protect different versions of a composition, a concept that will be addressed in greater detail elsewhere.<br /><br />Debate<br /><br />Different wikis can each develop their own dispute policies, but Wikipedia's <a href="; target="_blank">Dispute resolution</a> page serves as an outstanding and well-tested model. Disputes must be seen as having both productive and nonproductive potential. The heat of disputes can generate new ideas and improved understanding. Balancing the tough resolution that thoroughly defends a concept with the humility that one person cannot know everything is an important part of growing one's art at being human. Of some interest would be an analysis of what percentage of wiki projects move to some of dispute resolution. In the massive global Wikipedia project, the numbers of cases going to arbitration are extremely small. Reagle (2004) reported some 125 cases out of 390,000 over 3 years had gone to arbitration, a figure impacting around .0003 percent of all articles.<br /><br />Collaboration<br /><br />Collaborative needs are ubiquitous. These needs include learning environments with writing partners and teams. They also include enterprise or organizational needs. Most of us function in a social group, sharing information, rules and guidelines that evolve as the team or group deals with its environment. The more rapid the changing environment, the more the team's knowledge base changes. <a href="; target="_blank">Heterarchy</a> increasingly trumps hierarchy as complexity and rate of change increase.<br /><br />Wikis also provide a fast way to organize or link bits and pieces of information as it develops, a work-in-progress concept map, which has as much value for individuals as for groups and organizations. Just as static web pages can have links, so wiki pages can link to other pages. The immediate nature of wiki editing means the start up of a web page editor is not needed to make new links, nor does the file need to be saved and uploaded to a web site. This provides real advantages over the standard model for web site work.<br /><br />One of the basic ongoing problems in effectiveness of every project team or group at whatever scale is communication and maintaining a common set of shared facts and ideas. "The majority of today’s organizational knowledge still exists outside of organizational information repositories, and often only in people’s heads" (Wagner, 2005). Prior tools for communication have relied on email, but email glut and non-public storage have begun to turn email into an organizational bottleneck that blogs and wikis can help relieve.<br /><br />Blog design provides greatly simplified web page design but it is more a design to stimulate dialog and track debate, not forge group consensus. The blog owner just provides content and displays comments not new design to serve other purposes. The team is still dependent on the blog owner to update the information, which can slow further developments unnecessarily. Wiki's advantage is the power to immediately change the current posting.<br /><br />Wiki editing makes direct incremental improvement on information. Other collaborative designs do not. Blog sites comment reflect on the original posting but do not change it. Though there are millions of discussion groups on various topics with email threads playing a valuable role, the original thread to the email is also never edited. Further, later comments often focus on one element of the thread, not summarizing the collective thought to that point. A coherent, collated and updated summation of incoming information is just not part of either blog or discussion group design concepts. As a consequence, blog authors and discussion groups often build web sites to put their accumulated knowledge in FAQ files and other web page structures. Unless there is sufficient interest to pay someone to maintain these static files, this information often decays quickly losing accuracy and because of this inaccuracy often costs the organization or team big-time with misdirected activity and wasted motion.<br /><br />Wikis provide motivation simply building on the basic human need for accurate information. There is no better evidence of this than the <a href=" chart of wikipedia</a>, moving from 0 articles in January, 2001 to over 600,000 articles in four years, achieving an overall level of quality that has astonished many.2005/06/unique-values-of-wiki-way.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-112174908800745205Tue, 28 Jun 2005 17:50:00 +00002005-07-19T00:59:34.363-04:00Wiki Ideology<p>The unique features and values of wiki design are also part of a deeper intellectual tradition and debate. John M. Unsworth, Dean of the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, saw wiki design as part of an ideology with a long tradition, a meme of Liberation Technology clashing with the meme of Command and Control (2004). This is also characterized in other ways including open source versus proprietary, and free information systems versus safe information systems. Unsworth wrote as spokesperson for the liberation technology point of view. His adversarial approach to the situation may also obscure other paths to solution.</p><p>A different perspective might seek harmony. The creative tension between heterarchy and hierarchy is as old as human history and as old as life itself. Command and control has been well established technically and culturally. One might see the apparent conflict as merely the growing pains of making room for technological designs that better harmonize cultural forces. Wiki designs are long overdue, and are likely to further modify best practices to be more open to creative developments and flexible management.</p>2005/06/wiki-ideology.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111998757240786808Tue, 28 Jun 2005 17:40:00 +00002005-07-02T11:39:04.433-04:00Private or Protected Wiki CollaborationWhen the fundamental wiki concept of open editing over a network is first shared, a look of shock appears on the faces of some as they try to fathom how the the benefits of high currency are to be balanced with the need for accuracy in the information. However, to say that someone can edit a page at any time, does not mean that anyone can edit or that the edits will remain. There are many levels of information control including notification of interested readers, version control, and access control. Further, sometimes what passes for accuracy is a matter of opinion and this in turn requires negotiation control methods such as voting.<br /><br />Notification services are very important. A fundamental wiki concept is that developments which occur in the public eye have many eyes watching and therefore lead to better results. Democracy counts on the fourth estate (jounalism) to keep things out in the open and therefore honestly managed. Wiki sites can can count on the eyes of many interested readers. The reader/editor of a particular page can provide the wiki site with an email address and page identification. Almost anyone who edits a wiki page wants to know if someone else has changed it. Many request page change notification even if they never edit as a way to get the latest thinking on a topic. Those writers and readers most interested in the page become the wiki page watchdogs. Open access is, after all, an underlying principle of democracy.<br /><br />Even wikis that run wide open and allow public editing by anyone also use version control and access control. With version control, a dated list of every change is maintained. One can return to an earlier version with two clicks in some wikis.<br /><br />Access control can be implemented universally or page by page. The home page of a wiki might be locked but all other pages that descend from it may not be. A wiki site owner or multiple administrators make those decisions.<br /><br />Universal access control means that there are passwords, attribution and validation. A university or a corporation might create a wiki for employees, but its use would require a login username and password. Once logged in, any comments or edit work has the editor's name attached, providing attribution. Some systems allow email to be sent to a wiki page using the CC field and will appear as a comment on the bottom page. Later editors can synthesize the collecting comments and revise the page. Notification of changes to interested employees or team members provides validation of the content.2005/06/private-or-protected-wiki.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111998949064003863Tue, 28 Jun 2005 17:20:00 +00002005-07-06T23:07:34.220-04:00Multimedia Wikis- Collaborative Media EditorsThe concept of multimedia wikis pose special issues. One issue is confusion. There are wiki sites that provide access to multimedia compositions, such as the <a href=" Commons project</a> and also wiki sites that will discuss multimedia developments. A different meaning for multimedia wikis is intended here. What if one could edit an audio file or a picture the same way one can immediately edit text? Could collaborative composition be extended to other media?<br /><br />Editing text on the fly and reposting changes to a web site is well understood and easy; the code to carry out this text manipulation is standard across browsers. Wiki editing of text about audio, video, animation and other forms of media would also be easy to do. Editing media however depends on having the media tools themselves. Audio files pose fundamental challenges and video files require great computer processing power and signficant telecommunication bandwidth, while photography and other graphic manipulations within video could require even more bandwidth.<br /><br />Audio could allow the replacement of one voice with another, but not the editing of the same voice. Currently, it is not possible for anyone to edit someone else's talking without having their exact same voice. That is, it can't be done with voice, including a speech, a conversation, or an audio conference. One could re-write or edit the script of the speech but then the voices would have to perform the script again to re-record the unique nature of voices.<br /><br />Music can be different. Though in one sense music suffers from the same problem as the human voice; each musical voice or instrument is so unique. Music editing depends on access to access to a musical instrument's unique sound. MIDI music however was designed with a set of digital instrument sounds being universal on every computer. MIDI wikis would be technology possible, but have not yet come to my attention.<br /><br />Photo and video wikis share similar problems. Photo wikis and video wikis could mean downloading a multi-layered image or multi-element video segment, editing and reposting by the same file name, while keeping a reversion record of the previous creations. More advanced web editing could provide the editing within the web browser itself, but currently web editing are not designed to have the code to carry out such work for images and video. Such form of editing would be very appropriate research projects for the emerging Internet2 system where the high bandwidth rates and data storage are available at the needed scale.<br /><br />In summary, though new developments are possible, currently the wiki concept only applies to text editing.2005/06/multimedia-wikis-collaborative-media.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111999412520002075Tue, 28 Jun 2005 17:00:00 +00002005-06-28T17:28:45.203-04:00Wiki SyndicationMuch of the thinking about wiki work is done in the context of sections of text, whether definitions, sentences, paragraphs and large documents. Network RSS notification of change can easily be done with Wikis. Notification of change is a critical feature for wikis to not only function, but to address the issue of quality of product. As there is no centralized point of control, wiki quality control comes from its virtue of openness. Everyone and anyone can choose to see the changes. The more people watching, the greater the tendency towards public good. That concept in fact lies at the heart of democracy too.<br /><br /> Creative thinkers have also taken RSS syndication to another level, using RSS for project management, but wiki based project management has yet to appear. Very large projects can scale up to thousands of participants, each needing to know about goals, guidelines, schedules, meetings and the constant change in all of them that evolves with any project. Universal RSS standards for project management timelines using the Internet for communication will prove to be an excellent concept. <br /><br />Wiki project management that anyone could edit might be seen as a recipe for chaos. This thumbsucking comfort in the blanket of hierarchical control has dogged wiki inventors from the beginning. At every step critics have raised the issue of FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) when someone has begun a wiki dictionary, encyclopedia, animal inventory or other concept. Given the current number of massive wiki projects of growing quality, a wait and see attitude would be appropriate for project management.<br /><br />What other variations might evolve with wiki syndication?2005/06/wiki-syndication.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111999418946043666Tue, 28 Jun 2005 16:40:00 +00002006-01-02T21:21:51.753-05:00Wiki Limitations?A system designed to do all things well ends up doing little or nothing well. Wiki design seeks highly interactive and quick collaboration, but not every situation needs that. Wiki design allows totally open public editing, but not every situation needs that. This does not mean that wiki design has failed because all wiki features cannot be used for all situations. <a href="2005/06/private-or-protecting-collaboration-in.html">Wiki values</a> must be appropriately applied and this includes knowledge of the limitations. Both technical and social factors need consideration.<br /><br />Technical Factors<br /><br />The public nature of wiki editing means that page vandalism, and intentional distortion and lies and inadequately edited grammar are a risk that must be balanced against speedy change and the capacity for more public control that was discussed under <a href="2005/06/private-or-protected-wiki.html">wiki controls</a>.<br /><br />Wiki design is constantly improving, but currently many of the features of common word processors such as the creation of tables and the easy insertion of media is not possible with all versions. It must be understand that one of the motivations of wiki design is to not add complexity and so it is likely that even though such features can be technically added, they should not be and might not ever be. There is a trade-off between speed and complexity and users must decide which they need most in different situations.<br /><br />Social Factors<br /><br />Involving a group of people in a new way of thinking requires some group socialization. Wiki environments by default seem designed for those with little or no ego issues. The concept of egalitarianism needs discussion and acceptance by the players. This may not be the best tool to use to achieve peace and harmony with highly controversial topics. Further, it is a stretch for some to accept shared ownership, often without attribution. Those with status and reputation concerns may not play well in wiki environments. There are many forms of passive resistance and ways around a wiki team, either using email to keep information out of the loop or simply inattention to the wiki content. How much is at stake and how socialized the group has become with a collaborative project will have a great impact on wiki newbies. Beginners considering a wiki project should consider low impact projects to try out a wiki system and their skills before pressure intensive time or public exposure elements are increased. Regular use of notification by participants so that they know what has changed and when is critical to socializing all to wiki norms.<br /><br />Two cases of distorted wiki articles have been widely reported in the press, dealing with a particular kind of wiki, the publicly created and edited wiki. In the first, the Los Angeles Times experimented in 2005 with a wiki for debate on the controversial topic of Iraq and was overwhelming with porn messages and images and over the top criticism (Lee, 2005). In the second case of 2005, John Seigenthaler Sr., a journalist and former assistant to Attorney General Robert Kennedy, discovered a Wikipedia article in which a prankster falsely accused him in an article of plotting the Kennedy assassinations (Blakely, 2005).<br /><p>More scientific tests have shown that these headliner cases are the exception, not the rule, even with a publicly edited wiki. In a test by the Editor-at-large A. Jacobs of Esquire magazine in 2005, he put deliberate <a href=" in a wikipedia article</a>. Within three days there were 576 edits, fixing all but one of the errors. <a href=";, the scientific journal</a>, used independent reviewers in 2005 to compare 42 articles on the same topics in both Wikipedia and in the <em>Encyclopaedia Britannica</em>, the gold standard for encyclopedias. The Wikipedias encyclopedia was discovered in general to have just a slightly higher error rate than Britannica.<br /></p><span class="textcopy"></span>Beyond the issues of deliberate or accidental distortion, any degree of editing of one person's composition by another has a tendency to be seen by the first composer as ruthless, insensitive or ignorant of some detail. There is a reason that publishers hire editors. Wiki participants must accept the two phases of writing, focusing on content and focusing on editing. Participants need to discuss their capacity to accept developments with good humor and some appreciation that editing is a specialty too. Potential emotional concerns should always be addressed before work begins and this one is well known. Those who cannot accept the good faith effort of others should find other roles to play in the overall sequence of completing a project besides the wiki effort. There is always much to do.<br /><br />In short, the technical tools exist to exercise social control in effective ways in a highly mixed population. Whether these are applied or not depends on a number of social factors, but it has been successful done. However, wiki editing can be reserved by only those with the proper password, which allows groups of any size to take advantage of wiki design without worrying about outsiders manipulating the composition.2005/06/wiki-limitations.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111999447714054368Tue, 28 Jun 2005 16:20:00 +00002005-07-18T23:43:36.586-04:00Educational Uses for WikiWhat best summarizes the educational uses of wikis? New uses continually emerge, but some uses already have received serious attention: collaborative composition of student essays and projects; assembly and organization of large bodies of information; development of organizational documents for policy and planning; and annotation of existing documents.<br /><br />There are many places that educators can take advantage of the unique values of wikis. The language arts area has long experimented with collaborative composition. By running their own servers with password protection, schools can protect their students from the public at large. At the same time, the potential for collaborative parent-child and school personnel projects is significant and wikis would be a very relevant tool to use. Educators in every content area from time to time require students to carry out team projects which involve writing which would further build on the wiki concept. On a global scale, adults have used this concept to create a number of encyclopedic and dictionary projects which have made impressive progress (<a href="2005/06/interesting-wiki-examples.html" target="_blank">see wiki examples</a>). Dennis et al (2004) used the wiki concept to help manage the team teaching of a divergent course design that mixed diverse faculty and fields of study: history, journalism, computer science, and educational technology.<br /><br />Many educators are also deeply involved in policy development and curriculum development, which require the collaboration of many participants. One example is professional adult literacy group whose wiki currently is collating information on <a href=" of distance education delivery </a>that are currently in use. Another group, <a href=" </a>created an extensive outline for participants to expand but open to ideas from anyone onthe net. Wikis will certainly be explored for such uses.<br /><br />The wiki concept is also useful for pentrating a poem, passage of literature, policy paper or technical writing. Any word or phrase can quickly be turned into a link to a new web page which provides more in-depth analysis. Each of those pages can contain additional or follow-up links to expansions of thinking by other authors, a sort of chain of footnotes and annotation. For example, Phillipson's teaching of poetry required students to respond to or provide passages of text and then develop their own fine grained interpretation through linking selected words and phrases (Brock, 2005).<br /><br />Examples of many uses may never be public and therefore not indexed by search engines such as Google. News of any wiki projects is sought and will be used to update this posting.2005/06/educational-uses-for-wiki.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-111999451838646257Tue, 28 Jun 2005 16:00:00 +00002005-06-30T16:38:25.970-04:00Wiki FuturesWhat will the next levels of Wiki development look like? One would expect that further evolution on networked software will be forthcoming. Sequencing and integrating discussion groups, blogs, wikis and static web pages would hold the most value today and be necessary to capture the unique role of each. But the times, they may be changing. In time, will static web pages be seen as the tip of the information iceberg, giving lift and visibility from these other underlying web elements, or will the growing pace of change and the power of egalitarian teamwork move wiki design to the visible tip of the iceberg? Will some new design synthesize the current pieces?<br /><br />Fraser's (2005) perspective on the <a href=" tools for a new Internet</a> imply that the answers will not be long in coming.2005/06/wiki-futures.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Bob Houghton)1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14031298.post-112000591910538951Tue, 28 Jun 2005 15:40:00 +00002006-01-02T21:22:53.956-05:00Wiki BibliographyBlakely, Rhys ( December 30, 2005). <span style="font-weight: bold;">Identity question for world's encyclopaedia</span>. They continually seek to control it and dictate what we learn, it has been the subject of systematic revision, whitewashing, phony science, erasure, and among many things a way to justify or reinforce racism for their cruelty. The truth is impossible to contain, therefore the importance of taking ownership of our own history could not be emphasized enough. But it must be done with the purpose of repairing and healing our nation. Isaiah 33:6 “And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.” Considering that our history has been assaulted, it is understandable when some of our people dislike history or turn a deaf ear. Since their teachers exalt their own history as the “beginning of civilization” while making us believe that ours is primitive without a written record. If I have not already convinced you into studying your past, learning the truth and identifying the lies we were taught. Then let me explain to you the serious problem of the memory loss that we suffer. It could be compared to a cognitive disease like dementia or Alzheimer, where you are severely impaired, with instability and confusion. If you choose not to remember the abuse done to you, then it will be impossible for you to survive with this condition. ]]> full 2182 LGBTQ + Pride = Spirit of Sodom /lgbtq-pride-spirit-of-sodom/ Fri, 28 Jun 2024 23:57:29 +0000 /?p=2156 /lgbtq-pride-spirit-of-sodom/#respond /lgbtq-pride-spirit-of-sodom/feed/ 0 In the previous podcast we learned about the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah that were infamously homosexual with pride. As a result of their lifestyle they were destroyed with fire and brimstone. Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Therefore anyone participating in pride month does not realize that they are celebrating their own destruction and the down fall of spiritual Sodom (America). Revelations 18:3 “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her [America’s] fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” Verse 4: “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Verse 5: “For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” Before it is too late, come out, not of the closet but from the spirit and the pride or Sodom! ]]> full 2156 LGBTQ + ? = Sodom /lgbtq-sodom/ Thu, 13 Jun 2024 19:52:55 +0000 /?p=2152 /lgbtq-sodom/#respond /lgbtq-sodom/feed/ 0 Currently, pride month is being celebrated around the world. If we look into the origins of it, a search on the internet would lead us to the Stonewall riots that took place in New York City in the early mornings of June 28, 1969. Proverbs 28:7 “Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.” Naturally now we should understand why the month of June was chosen; in June 1999 the former president Bill Clinton declared the anniversary of the riots as gay and lesbian pride month. Another event that is commemorated in this month was the first gay pride parade on June 28, 1970 in New York City. The only known photograph taken during the first night of the riots. However, within our search all over the internet the true origins of this pride did not come up. Recently we have uploaded the “Chronicles of Sodom” that explains the ancient people whose lifestyle would be simply put as homosexuality. We should not be ignorant of the Sodomites whom God used for an example to future generations, the world should know about Sodom. Since we all know that homosexuality is not something new, why the knowledge of this people that is readily available in the scriptures is not included in the promulgation of the celebration? Hopefully this podcast lesson will help us answer that question, and teach us the hidden mystery of Sodom. ]]> full 2152 Renew our Days as of Old 9: The Wake Up Call /renew-our-days-as-of-old-9-the-wake-up-call/ Mon, 08 Apr 2024 20:24:36 +0000 /?p=2126 /renew-our-days-as-of-old-9-the-wake-up-call/#respond /renew-our-days-as-of-old-9-the-wake-up-call/feed/ 0 Romans 13:11 “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” The calling to this truth is truly a blessing that many do not receive. But it does come with challenges that are unexpected by newcomers. Once you know the times to celebrate and are no longer asleep to the deception, family and friends might become a source of suffering. Those that are closer to salvation, understand that this walk doesn’t allow us to look back. 2nd Corinthians 5:14 “For the love of Christ constraineth [compel] us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:” Verse 15: “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” Thus we could not continue in the path to destruction but must walk now in newness of life. Our love of Christ must be unwavering, we could never put anyone before him. Matthew 10:37 “He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” Verse 38: “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.” Verse 39: “He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” We are required to give up that sinful lifestyle that we used to have, that we may receive eternal life. Don’t let any to diminish the worth of your soul for their carnal pleasures. The temporary affliction could never be compared to the glory you will receive. Although it might be a rude awakening, at least you finally understand the true meaning of love. Hopefully this lesson will encourage and teach you how to address some of the familiar issues or questions that might come. ]]> full 2126 Renew our Days as of Old 5: Don’t be a Fool /renew-our-days-as-of-old-5-dont-be-a-fool/ Tue, 02 Apr 2024 20:24:00 +0000 /?p=1581 /renew-our-days-as-of-old-5-dont-be-a-fool/#respond /renew-our-days-as-of-old-5-dont-be-a-fool/feed/ 0 On April 1st the custom of pulling pranks will be observed by many. However most of the worldly holidays are not mentioned in the Bible, especially by name. Except for one, which is Easter and only in the King James Version of the Bible. This one time occurrence shows the masterful switch the Roman Catholic Church orchestrated against the holy days of God. The Passover a feast of liberation that was kept by Christ and the disciples was replaced by the Romans with an ancient Babylonian holiday that venerated the goddess Ishtar. The now forgotten history is that Christianity was outlawed in Rome, as they attempted later to reinvent themselves as accepting of Christ, it was a disguise to merge their pagan beliefs to the undying faith of Christ. 2nd Timothy 4:4 “And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” To learn more about the real history behind Easter, check out the flyer: ]]> full 1589 I Want To Be HEARD 2: The Head /i-want-to-be-heard-2-the-head/ Fri, 16 Feb 2024 21:24:34 +0000 /?p=2084 /i-want-to-be-heard-2-the-head/#respond /i-want-to-be-heard-2-the-head/feed/ 0 Oftentimes when someone newly has come into the truth they might be praying incorrectly. This is because coming from the world and the churches they have been trained to pray a certain idolatrous way. A manner in which almost every religion in this world worships. Therefore when presenting themselves, they are not accepted of God because it is not done with reverence towards him. Psalms 89:7 “God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.” This is why the Most High has given us specific instructions of how we must pray properly. As prophecy dictated, we must follow the leader that he appointed as our head. Hosea 1:11 “Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel [Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans] be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.” Jewish man praying incorrectly, since they do not believe in the Messiah nor understand the law, therefore they wear head coverings. Jewish woman praying incorrectly, she does not have her head covered. At times Jewish women do cover their heads during prayer, ironically it might be a wig instead of clothing. A few other things to notice, the menorah is not the lawful seven branch candlestick, also the custom of Sabbath blessings over the candles is not scriptural. It is no different from the pagan tradition of lighting candles to pray to idols. None of the holy men of the scriptures needed a prayer shawl to seek God! This tradition doesn’t come from the scriptures, it is actually an attempt to corrupt the law that commands all Israel to wear fringes and border of blue on their clothes. See, Numbers 15:38-41. The famous skull cap called the yarmulke and sometimes known as the kippah, which most of the time is an identifying marker of a Jewish person is not a requirement to wear at all, especially during prayer. The word yarmulke shows that its origins is not from Israel but Poland. As the true people of God we do not need to feel validated by copying the impostors. As we return to the most High we must make sure that we do not imitate those Jewish traditions that do not exist in the scriptures. Titus 1:14 “Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.” There is no such thing as a prayer shawl for men to wear, nor are we required to wear a yarmulka (skull cap) to serve the most High God. Before it was a long ugly list of titles that was updated monthly. Besides how beautiful the page looks now, the most notable thing is the current month, that contains four of the most recent podcasts. The cool cover image is clickable causing the lesson to immediately download to your device. In addition, below the images there is a brief description of the podcast and of course a “GET NOW!” download button. If you keep scrolling down you will see the current year. That is due to the fact that other portions of the site have been renovated. For example, we have developed a brand new download page and if you took a look at our landing page you could see a lot of the projects that have been completed. Today we are finally getting the chance to explain the changes in the Radio and advertise this class to you. There are two parts to this class that cover how to fight temptation. Hopefully this lesson will edify your spirit and help those tempted. James 1:12 “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” The menu options on the top right hand corner. The first change you will notice on the Radio page is the dynamic background. Afterwards that the download button that was above the player has been removed. But don’t worry, an option for downloads is inside the new menu. Click on “GET” to open up the downloads page. If you click on “WHAT”, “WE”, and “DO”; a hidden message will show on the page. To close it, click on the menu button when it is orange. Below the player, we are keeping you informed of when the Radio page has been updated. Most High willing we intend to update it weekly. Finally the player itself was improved but we will leave those nerdy details out. Remember all podcast classes are first uploaded to the radio, there you could listen to them without having to worry about downloading or opening any app. Music will be added soon! As a matter of fact, the cause of our calamity and oppression is due to our ignorance, especially in regards to our history. Since we lack knowledge of our past, mistakes are repeated. By not knowing who we are, we do not understand how we ended up in these horrible conditions, and the solutions. 1st Corinthians 12:1 “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.” Verse 2: “Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led [into slavery].” Your oppressors have you believing that you are Gentiles, so that you will not receive the spiritual gifts. They even advertise yearly deadly poisonous lies, by hijacking Black History. Every year the children of Israel (so called Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans) are told to follow dumb things like religions (Black churches, Islam, Churchianity, etc..), idols (false gods), nationalities (Black, Afro American, Negro, etc.); that were given to you when you were led into captivity. Revelations 13:10 “He that leadeth into captivity ….” In general what is promoted among our people is the glorification of ignorance. We must be careful that we do not lead ourselves into the path of ignorance. Proverbs 19:2 “Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.” Listen to today’s topic which explains how it is not good to be without knowledge. ]]> full 2044 The 3 Kings Myth /the-3-kings-myth/ Thu, 11 Jan 2024 20:10:08 +0000 /?p=2002 /the-3-kings-myth/#respond /the-3-kings-myth/feed/ 0 2nd Timothy 4:4 “And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” This prophecy spoken by the Apostle Paul has been fulfilled. Although this warning has been given to us many generations ago, our people follow fables that are destructive. Celebrations like Christmas and Three Kings Day have mythical characters that children are taught to believe in, causing them to turn unto false gods for gifts. These mythical characters are rooted on the pagan (false) gods of the Romans, then blended by the Roman Catholic Church. Besides breaking the first commandment, Exodus 20:3 “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”, these days promote white supremacy. By removing your own history and accomplishments, it is replaced by ideals that promulgates mental slavery of inferiority. The Christmas tradition of Santa Claus’ helpers originally presented as one or more enslaved demons forced to assist their captor is a perfect example. These chained and fire scorched demons were redeveloped as black skinned humans in the likeness of Moors who work as servants for Saint Nicholas. In Spain, hundreds of teenagers wear blackface for Three Kings Day parade. The tradition has evolved to include Black slaves who the Spanish believe accompanied the kings. The Black slaves hand out gifts and candy to children in Alcoy and are viewed locally as similar to Santa’s elves.  According to the councilor for heritage and tourism, the tradition is that the Black slaves “use red ladders to climb up onto balconies and deliver presents to children.” This is portrayed by the racist custom of blackface with Zwarte (black) Peter, a moor. The irony is that whites are portrayed as holy and good while black is looked upon as evil, is what is instilled. Zwarte Peter alludes to the disciple of Christ as being black and the Israelites, who once ruled Europe as the moors personifying evil. The tradition of blackface in Spain is white supremacy, to erase the history of the Black Moors (Israelites) that once ruled. But their white Germanic or Norse paganism represented by Santa Claus is good. During the three kings day celebration blackface is also common, since one of the wise men is depicted as a dark skinned Arabian. While they mock our heritage right in front of our faces, we refuse to acknowledge who we are, and teach our children instead their destructive ways. Hopefully, the lesson presented to you will move you to apply the wisdom of the scriptures. 1st Timothy 4:7 “But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.” Shalam (Peace)! ]]> full 2002 Education: When to Begin Teaching YOUR Children /education-when-to-begin-teaching-your-children/ Thu, 31 Aug 2023 20:53:58 +0000 /?p=1977 /education-when-to-begin-teaching-your-children/#respond /education-when-to-begin-teaching-your-children/feed/ 0 Shalam (Peace) brothers and sisters: Parents all over the United States are preparing for their children to return back to school. In a post related to education, it was discussed how resources are bleak in the public school system. An example of how financial resources are simply not enough, was shown recently in the “I Promise” school backed by Lebron James. What this brother is trying to achieve is truly commendable! He is offering at risk children all these free things: tuition, uniforms, bicycle with helmet, transportation, breakfast, lunch, snacks, food pantry, GED, and job placement services for parents. Any student that graduates and completes the criteria are guaranteed tuition to the University of Akron. However, according to recent news reports the school has failed to produce a single eighth grader who could pass the state math test in the past three years. This was not expected of this Akron Public School, as a board member stated “I just think about all the resources that we’re providing … I’m just disappointed that I don’t think, it doesn’t appear like we’re seeing the kind of change that we would expect to see.” The Lebron James foundation has given up to 1.4 million each year for additional tutors and teachers in younger grades to lower class sizes. We must keep in mind that these children were already a year or two behind. Also that this is a public school, therefore it is plagued with the fundamental problems of the public educational system, that could not be fixed even with substantial amounts of resources. All across the country children are trapped in a system that could not be corrected. Proverbs 4:1 “Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.” Ultimately the success of any child depends on the parents. Those that choose to home-school their children have greater success because they begin without the constraints of a system that is meant to destroy their children. Looking at the legacy of this country who has criminalized, imprisoned, and executed Israelite (Black, Hispanic, and Native American) children; it shouldn’t shock anyone that the commendable efforts of Lebron James could not fix generational issues. If an abundance of resources is not able to do the job, what will? Therefore in this lesson we discuss what our forefathers did in ancient times. Which is a proven method, that even today we see the results in many child prodigies. The visions contained in this book are condensed prophecies that were once a rumor to our forefathers. It revealed the hidden conspiracy of their enemies; the violence to come and their downfall. This generation could read some of those prophecies as our history, yet there are some to be fulfilled, which is the reckoning of justice. Our people do not see an end to their oppression and there is no hope for them. Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish: ….” However in this book the most High pin points a time frame of when he will establish his kingdom on earth. Amazingly, that time would be when Edom set his “nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.”. The International Space Station pictured from the SpaceX Crew. The International Space Station shows the fulfillment of this prophecy, but the first time it was fulfilled was in 1969 with the moon landing. Since then some of our people have been waking up and seeking justice. Proverbs 29:18 “…. but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” The masses of our people are lost, thus their efforts for equality and justice has failed because it is not by God. Today some question whether the moon landing actually happened. Those that have faith in the word of most High could clearly see that we live in the time frame that Obadiah prophesied of. If we keep the law of the Heavenly Father and believe in his vision we will not perish but be happy. At that time our people were in danger of being destroyed. The post Just one more lane: TfNSW revives WestConnex zombie Alexandria to Moore Park road project first appeared on Jake Coppinger.]]> All roads lead to the Rozelle Interchange. Photographed 2026-09-14. You read that right – just yesterday[a] TfNSW announced a proposal[3] to widen an inner Sydney road and demolish footpaths and trees (map[4]). In the year 2026. We desperately need more homes, we need more bus lanes, we need to ‘fix’ traffic – but this should be done by reallocating road space – per TfNSW’s great policy. The TfNSW fever dream of ”just one more lane” of urban road capacity will induce more vehicles, and will not ‘fix’ traffic.[5] Some historical context: this is the intersection of both the Southern Arterial Route (~13,000 words, 168 references) and the Alexandria to Moore Park Project (~3,500 words, 80 references).[b] Let’s not pretend this is about buses – this is a smokescreen for a classic road widening project. The southbound AM peak bus lane is proposed precisely because that’s when there’s less southbound car traffic – because most folks are heading into the city for work. The word for this, is misdirection. The project page includes a “Project documents” heading yet TfNSW couldn’t find any documents to put there. Would you get away with spending $22 million of taxpayer money without providing a decent reason? The time for attributing to stupidity is long gone: $22 million to build more lanes without a PM peak bus lane out of the CBD – is malice. Where’s the evidence? Perhaps some bus delay data? Modelling of a bus lane all the way from that pedestrian crossing TfNSW ripped out at Harris St and Pyrmont Bridge Road[7][8][c][d] all the way down to Green Square – or am I dreaming? Imagine TfNSW openly releasing signal phasing, let alone vehicle volumes – the stuff of fantasy! Does anyone seriously believe the point of spending $22m is an AM peak-only bus lane away from the CBD? Is suffixing “…and bus corridor improvements” on a project really going to sneak this past the Ministers? This wouldn’t be the first time.[12][13][14][15][16] What transport study found “57 vehicles would be spread across the alternative routes during the AM peak hour…“[3][e] I’ve made an informal[17] request to TfNSW for any transport studies or impact assessments – given a GIPA[f] wouldn’t arrive in time before the ‘feedback’ deadline. Join my blog mailing list if you want those cold hard PDFs as soon as I get them. Make no mistake; this is a horrifying WestConnex project. ‘Improving’ this intersection was “Major design feature 4” in the November 2019 Alexandria to Moore Park Stage 1 REF[19]: 6 : 44 (PDF 62) , with the aim of “Improving intersection capacity”[19]: 5  (for cars). A2MP Stage 1 was carried out under WestConnex planning condition E40 b iii[g] and A2MP Stage 1 sits under the TfNSW Network Integrations team.[25]: 39 (PDF 41)  Worse than a WestConnex project, the Government offloaded soaring spending onto the TfNSW Network Integration Program (the taxpayer)[h] – according to none other than the NSW Audit office in their scathing assessment.[26] Integration meaning getting cars in and out of WestConnex; this team was previously the WestConnex Enabling works.[26]: p. 12 (PDF 16)  Who exactly is behind the now-dead WD weave[25]: 36 (PDF 38)  and this project? My call out to Journalists: it seems that not even a painful reorg can fix this cyclic pattern – start digging here. Where are we talking about? 400 metres from the Waterloo Metro station, one block from Waterloo renewal project and spitting distance from high density Green Square.[i] Only a dinosaur of a road engineer would seriously believe adding more car lanes here is the best way to support 10,000 homes.[31] The Southern Arterial has already left a scar through Redfern / Waterloo. Do we really need to deepen the wound? TfNSW wrote they considered alternatives to a right turn ban – by demolishing private houses and felling even more trees.[3]: §Right turn removal [j][k] This reminds me of the 1980s argument against alternatives for the Southern Arterial threatening housing destruction.[34]: p. 107 [l] Presenting diabolical alternatives to rationalise action is some Department of Main Roads-era rubbish. Ron Hoenig supported this ‘upgrade’ when it got on the AIF books in 2023, claiming increasing this intersection capacity (for cars) would ease traffic induced by WestConnex (“These improvements at McEvoy Street and Botany Road will help to ease traffic gridlock that is already taking a toll on Waterloo and Alexandria as a result of WestConnex.”[35]). One more lane will fix it! It’s a mystery why he supports this now, given he opposed the Alexandria to Moore Park project (A2MP) in the past[36][37] – along with Matt Thistlethwaite[38], Alex Greenwich[39][40][41], Marjorie O’Neill[42], Jenny Leong[40], “mobilised” councillors across Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra[36], Clover Moore[36], and News Corp.[38][36][43] It seems TfNSW picked good timing. The CEO of the Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation, at the very corner of this project is apparently away until next week, and the staff there hadn’t heard of this (nor any business owners I chatted to, except the newsagent).[44] With only 2 weeks of “feedback” – the word “consultation” doesn’t appear once on the project page[3] feedback form[45] or on the project timeline – it seems this project is already approved and a fait accompli. And why would it need consultation or approval anyway? A2MP Stage 1 was approved and is still “in progress” as of yesterday.[46] While A2MP plans were “scaled back” in 2019[47][48], the December 2016[49] and June 2017 Community Updates[50] remain the “Ultimate Concept Design”, for which the “staged process will now allow additional review”.[51]: 82 (PDF 91)  There’s no sign TfNSW is giving up road widening further east (outside the childcare centre[52]), and potentially private property demolition. Remember when Graham had to stop TfNSW from demolishing 200 homes on Parramatta Road just 2 years ago?[53] What do we have to do to stop TfNSW continuing with these insane urban road widening projects? This corridor has been on the books for at least half a century (perhaps originating from the mythical unreleased 1940 MRDP Part 1[54][55][56]: 2 [57][58][59][m] and De Leuw Cather from August 1961[66][n]). The DMR has a long memory (1986[o]), but Wikipedia has a longer one. How do those dinosaurs in the “vehicle-focused” “clan”[68] outlive every TfNSW reorg? I don’t want to be consulted; I want the department to follow their own damn (good) policy. Is the word reallocation that hard to comprehend? Do we really need another TfNSW strategy[69] to tell themselves what to do[p] Or another Grattan[71] or NSW Productivity Commission report[72]? Ministers, anyone pushing this agenda are playing you for fools. Policy thinktanks, urbanist advocacy organisations, local resident and community groups, supply-side reformers: I am calling on you to kill this road widening project for good. Increasing private vehicle capacity – “providing a more efficient connection for drivers travelling through the area.”[3]: §Right turn removal [q] – through car-focused modelling is not the way to service more housing.[73] If a bus lane is needed (it is) – paint the damn lane red and save the $22 million (~$20k/metre[4]).[r] We need “dedicated bus lanes” for “bus priority”[75] and “active transport links”[75][76][77] There’s a consultation feedback form, but once you’ve angrily filled that out – let the Ministers responsible know how you feel: John Graham and Jenny Aitchison. Note: if you spot any errors, please let me know – I whipped up this blog post on the afternoon/evening of 2026-09-14. I include quotes and page numbers (including PDF page numbers) for your verifiability. Enjoy it while it lasts. Gone by next year. Photographed 2026-09-14. One more lane will fix it. You’re not the first.[6] It’s too good to print – yet. ↑ To save motorists a potential 8 seconds in the AM peak[9]: 83, 84 , according to the modelling. ↑ And for a northbound bus lane, good thing we widened a 50km/h inner-Sydney slip lane[10][11] – at St Paul’s Place right between two of Australia’s busiest train stations – “Making a bad road more awful” (Bicycle NSW). Ostensibly, one of the two project goals was “improving safety”. I trust that is true, DORAS & M&P policies were followed, and physical and temporal road user space is being prioritised for public and active transport before private vehicles – on a 2-star AusRAP road. I’m not aware of any community consultation: the community notice was published up to 12 days before construction – if one searches for TfNSW community notices on New Years Day. ↑ May reduce pressure? Get out of here! Who does TfNSW think they’re fooling here, advocates figured out this line decades ago.“Improving the Botany Road and McEvoy Street intersection may also reduce pressure along alternative routes such as Henderson Road and Mitchell Road by providing a more efficient connection for drivers travelling through the area.”[3] ↑ I’ve dropped $441 on a GIPA before, and I’ll … do it again![18] ↑ Keen readers will also note this covered a “Road Network Performance Review Plan” including “Euston Road, between Sydney Park Road and Botany Road” (E40 B iii)[20] – did anyone spot how quietly that[21] was uploaded? With “review date” 2025-10, doc 2026-06, (per sitemap.xml?page=1) 2026-07-08, TfNSW page updated 2026-02 – what am I supposed to make of that? Good thing Parramatta Road doesn’t need bus lanes apparently.[21]: p. 81 (PDF 91)  Has John Graham been ignored: does this read like property acquisition is still on the cards? “Property acquisition … could increase cost, delivery timeframes and viability for some projects.”[21]: p. 129 (PDF 143)  Almost as impressive is the robots meta content including noindex, nofollow, noarchive, nosnippet, noimageindex on the page linking to the Rozelle Interchange and Western Harbour Tunnel Enabling Works Design and Construction Deed[22], dated 24 November 2023[22]: PDF 4 , created in 2024 (according to the file metadata) and published about two weeks ago.[23][24] ↑ “funded outside the $16.812 billion budget” for WestConnex with the removal from the budget not “supported by robust analysis and justification”[25]: 2 (PDF 6)  ↑ It’s a miracle Green Square turned out how it is.[27]: pp. 31-33 [28][29][30] ↑ “We investigated alternatives to a right turn ban from McEvoy Street into Botany Road including providing a dedicated right turn lane. This option required significant private property acquisition as well as impacts to trees and parking and was not progressed.”[3]: §Right turn removal  ↑ And amusingly, impacts on car parking[3]: §Right turn removal  like elsewhere: 10k homes to 34 stories, but apparently removing a few car parks is just too hard![32]: p. 30 [33]: pp. 6,67  Someone else must have written “…the provision of homes in Edgecliff and Woollahra results in a net reduction in vehicle kilometres travelled by car across the GMA, when compared to a base case where this growth might have taken place in locations further away from public transport and amenities. This is illustrative of the potential benefits of transport oriented development as opposed to ‘organic’ growth in areas less well served by existing public transport and amenities.“[32]: p. 97  ↑ “…high capacity limited access route would cause severe severance effects in the community and in particular would affect the Aboriginal housing area in Chippendale as a result of the need to cross the railway on a new alignment”[34]: p. 107  ↑ Still not as mythical[60] as the PBN! Transport for NSW applied for privilege on 15 documents[61][62] (under SO52(5) at the time[63]). 24 non-privileged spreadsheets[64] and 638 non-privileged documents were released and are accessible to the public.[65] The Parliament of NSW website index you have likely already read, dear eagle-eyed reader, omits these 638 documents. Let historians note one version of the Non-privileged – Excel document[65] states 25 items but actually has 24 rows: row with count 21 is skipped. Perhaps TfNSW could just give Bicycle NSW the PBN geospatial files[60] and save me the effort of trawling through 2356 pages of internal emails and documents? I’ve got better things to do. ↑ It’s uncanny how well the 1961 DLC report predicted the location of the Rozelle interchange.[66]: Plate 16  ↑ “The DMR has a long memory and has at last talked the government around to the plans it has always had its heart set on” – Stephen Harris, Senior Lecturer in Town Planning, UNSW, 1986.[67] ↑ Or worse, ask volunteers to tell them to follow their own strategy: “…when a government agency writes 100 pages “discussing” a problem its own existing policy already solved on paper three years ago, is that a discussion — or a very long way of not implementing something?””[70] ↑ “While we understand this change may result in reduced connectivity for some road users, it will reduce congestion and queuing through the intersection and improve travel time reliability for all road users. Improving the Botany Road and McEvoy Street intersection may also reduce pressure along alternative routes such as Henderson Road and Mitchell Road by providing a more efficient connection for drivers travelling through the area.”[3]: §Right turn removal  ↑ At least the dollars come with a bus lane, unlike Fifteenth Avenue.[74] References ↑ /* Errors processing stylesheet [[:Module:Citation/CS1/styles.css]] (rev 21): ⧼ul⧽ ⧼li⧽ Invalid or unsupported value for property ⧼code⧽background⧼/code⧽ at line 44 character 14. ⧼/li⧽ ⧼li⧽ Invalid or unsupported value for property ⧼code⧽background⧼/code⧽ at line 50 character 14. ⧼/li⧽ ⧼li⧽ Invalid or unsupported value for property ⧼code⧽background⧼/code⧽ at line 55 character 14. ⧼/li⧽ ⧼li⧽ Invalid or unsupported value for property ⧼code⧽background⧼/code⧽ at line 64 character 14. ⧼/li⧽ ⧼/ul⧽ */ .mw-parser-output cite.citation{font-style:inherit;word-wrap:break-word}.mw-parser-output .citation q{quotes:"\"""\"""'""'"}.mw-parser-output .citation:target{background-color:rgba(0,127,255,0.133)}.mw-parser-output .id-lock-free.id-lock-free a{}.mw-parser-output .id-lock-limited.id-lock-limited a,.mw-parser-output .id-lock-registration.id-lock-registration a{}.mw-parser-output .id-lock-subscription.id-lock-subscription a{}.mw-parser-output .cs1-ws-icon a{}body:not(.skin-timeless):not(.skin-minerva) .mw-parser-output .id-lock-free a,body:not(.skin-timeless):not(.skin-minerva) .mw-parser-output .id-lock-limited a,body:not(.skin-timeless):not(.skin-minerva) .mw-parser-output .id-lock-registration a,body:not(.skin-timeless):not(.skin-minerva) .mw-parser-output .id-lock-subscription a,body:not(.skin-timeless):not(.skin-minerva) .mw-parser-output .cs1-ws-icon a{background-size:contain;padding:0 1em 0 0}.mw-parser-output .cs1-code{color:inherit;background:inherit;border:none;padding:inherit}.mw-parser-output .cs1-hidden-error{display:none;color:var(--color-error,#d33)}.mw-parser-output .cs1-visible-error{color:var(--color-error,#d33)}.mw-parser-output .cs1-maint{display:none;color:#085;margin-left:0.3em}.mw-parser-output .cs1-kern-left{padding-left:0.2em}.mw-parser-output .cs1-kern-right{padding-right:0.2em}.mw-parser-output .citation .mw-selflink{font-weight:inherit}@media screen{.mw-parser-output .cs1-format{font-size:95%}html.skin-theme-clientpref-night .mw-parser-output .cs1-maint{color:#18911f}}@media screen and (prefers-color-scheme:dark){html.skin-theme-clientpref-os .mw-parser-output .cs1-maint{color:#18911f}}“Botany Road”. yoursay.transport.nsw.gov.au.
