I have tested Blogger's scheduled posting feature today, and have come to realize that unless I am on this site at all times, scheduled posts no longer run when they're supposed to. Because it would be too difficult to continue running Bargain eBooks without this feature, as I can't be at my computer at 8PM every night to publish each post manually (or have my computer on all the time!) the blog is now moved over to Wordpress. This is to ensure that blog posts run automatically at 8PM EST each night and every submission has equal airtime.

Taking place during a French Revolution that is familiar yet very different, this steam-powered story depicts the adventures of the Ordre de la Tradition, a group of elite knights and other exceptionally talented individuals. led by the cool and confident Jeanne d'Fleur, who answer only to His Majesty, King Louis XVI.

On July 14, 1789 (Infini Calendar), the Ordre is called to the Bastille to investigate a mysterious message that has appeared in the cell which formerly belonged to the diabolical Marquis de Sade. While they are there, the prison suddenly comes under attack by an agry mob. They soon discover that this is not an isolated incident; the Palace at Versailles is also besieged around the same time.

Why is this happening? Will the Ordre be able to save the monarchy from assassination? How is the Jacobin Club involved in this? What strange powers does the Count of Saint-Germaine possess? What is the secret of Jeanne's right eye? Is that sadistic Austrian woman friend or foe?

When Ursula Barnett and her husband Jed win the Irish lottery, they think their troubles are over. But they are just beginning. Ursula coerces her Yank husband to retire in her hometown of Derry, Northern Ireland, hoping to atone for her youthful sins as a collaborator with the IRA in the 1970s. At the first sniff of Ursula s lotto win, however, her chronically greedy sister-in-law Fionnuala Flood rallies the family against Ursula.

Fionnuala's life is a misery. She is married to a boozing fish-packing plant worker and raising seven seedy hooligans, from a convict son to an eight-year-old devil-daughter who will resort to desperate measures to secure the perfect Holy Communion gown. Between two part-time jobs, Fionnuala still finds the energy to put into motion plans which pit husbands against wives, daughters against mothers, the lawless against the law and Fionnuala against anyone fool enough to cross her path.

Family saga and black comedy, love story and courtroom drama, An Embarrassment of Riches will take you on a journey to Northern Ireland and beyond, where Protestants and Catholics wage battle daily, and where crossing family with finance leads to heartache and hilarity, passion and tragedy.
With a family like this, who wouldn't need absinthe?

Fionnuala Flood, mother of seven unruly thugs, takes stock of her life as her 45th birthday approaches, and it couldn't be more of a misery. She's been fired from the corner shop for stealing, her two oldest sons are in prison, her husband's hands are fondling more than frozen fish at the packing plant, and her lesbian daughter has just published a book exposing the family's attempts to get their claws into Auntie Ursula Barnett's lottery winnings the year before. Daughter Dymphna, unwed mother, has just been kicked out of her boyfriend's house, adding two more mouths to feed.

Desperate to raise money to travel to Malta for the launch party and wreak havoc, Fionnuala puts into motion a get-rich-quick scheme that preys on the weaknesses of others and will hopefully add a bit of luxury to her empty coal bin of a life. The scam, however, unleashes dark secrets that bring Ursula back to town for a final showdown. Hand In The Till is a darkly comic look at revenge, retribution and, perhaps, reconciliation. With a shot of absinthe.

Stranded on a dark, desolate road with no money, no gas and a dead cell phone, Morgan makes a decision with dangerous consequences.

Now she must fight, claw, scratch and scream…and then run like hell to survive.

But will she get away?

What they're saying about it:

""Run Like Hell" is a suspenseful, spellbinding story that kept me on the edge of my seat. Morgan is a young girl who meets a stranger when she runs out of gas on the way to a party. It's dark. Her cell phone is dead. She doesn't have a gas can. She has two dollars on her. A teenage nightmare comes true when a young man knocks on the car window. The man who offers help, but then he chases, stalks, threatens, and injures Morgan while her parents are out of town. Morgan's spunk and bravery lead her to the man's dysfunctional family and the tragedy that lies beyond. Morgan runs like hell, but will she get away?

Morgan's story will keep the reader's attention to the very last page. The characters: Morgan's stalker, his family, her classmates, and Aunt Rory are interesting and genuine. The story is dead on. This young adult fiction is fast-paced and a very enjoyable read for all ages."--Amazon Reviewer2012/04/bargain-ebooks-528.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Holly Hook)1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2434967522279532433.post-2671274366009582183Sun, 22 Apr 2012 00:00:00 +00002012-04-22T10:33:22.127-04:00Bargain eBooks #527:<a href=" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 311px; height: 400px;" src="; border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5733871949302926786" />Day of Night by Will Decker

Genre: Science Fiction

Price: $0.99

Where to Get It:

<a href=" /><a href=" (Kindle)

Book 3 in the HEALF Saga. The battle for the conquest of Granada, which was held by the Islamic Moors for 700 years, empties Spain's coffers and decimates the ranks of her soldiers. Beautiful young Isabella Obrigon lives a life of privilege in Seville until she is caught between these two powerful nations. She is forced to uncover a secret about her birth and becomes trapped between two faiths and two peoples. She must decide whether to follow her heart and join her endangered brethren seeking exile from the brutal and infamous Inquisition, or stay and live a lie. When Isabella is held prisoner in the fabled Alhambra palace in Granada, an encounter with Miguel Costa seals her fate. Nearby, Christopher Columbus-who may have secrets of his own-waits impatiently for the war to be won. His dreams of exploration and fabulous wealth can only come true if he receives a summons from Queen Isabella.

What they’re saying about it:

“Are you looking for an adventure read? Lovely read. Really put me in a good mood. I happened upon this because I read Mr. Frey's other book "Dangerous Times." He is truly adept at switching genres. I am looking forward to what he does next."— Reviewed by Miss Kilpy on Amazon2012/04/bargain-ebooks-522.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Holly Hook)0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2434967522279532433.post-3660997046250172908Mon, 16 Apr 2012 00:00:00 +00002012-04-15T20:00:03.430-04:00Bargain eBooks #521:<a href=" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 308px; height: 400px;" src="; border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5731630114047861474" />Omensent: Birth of a Dragon Lord by Barry A.
