watched this amazing vid the other night, but got to to wondering, is there a specific or only certain areas where sprites and common? From my vantage point on the NSW central tablelands now, and even in my past lives living coastal around Sydney and mid North coast, i have seen many storms from a long distance away, horizon far away,
but not a single time have i seen a sprite.
i am assuming they can only be caught by camera? can they be seen with the naked eye if you are looking for them? do they only occur at lower latitudes? and hence why i have never seen them in NSW?
has anyone else seen or photographed such awesome wonders? if so.. How?
