The line about noticing alerts before they blow up is exactly where a lot of deadline systems fail. One thing that helped me was separating the day-count step from the calendar step whenever a task depends on business days instead of calendar days. It removes a whole class of avoidable scheduling mistakes.

Excellent review, very complete and straight to the point.

I used the Thule Covert 32L for quite a while, but as my setup became more minimal, I transitioned to the smaller version and it has stayed with me ever since. Recently, I’ve been exploring other options, but honestly, I haven’t found another brand that fits my workflow as well.

Personally, I’ve been having a very positive experience with the Thule Covert 24L. In my case, the modular insert feels more integrated into the backpack, giving that important sense that it truly belongs to the product rather than just being placed inside.

With my current minimalist setup (2 cameras + 2 lenses), the 24L has become a real sweet spot: less bulk, better integration, and very consistent usability. So far, I haven’t come across another brand that delivers the same balance between build quality, practicality, and overall design.
